So a week or two ago my cell phone suddenly said i had no memory chip, all my photos were gone ect but i could still make calls and use my apps. Today i get a call from this number.... then I get a text message, from MYSELF, with this number as the only information.
All my pictures are back in my phones memory now.
I'm kind of freaked out.
I called the number and they said they were from a work placement firm responding to my resume i posted on a jobs website... but then they weren't interested in talking to me about work... rushed me off the phone, said someone would get back to me.
I guess i wasn't the person they were looking for :P
I can't help but wonder if they hacked my phone to see if I was the person they wanted and then got caught putting my info back on.. i'm starting to worry i might need a tinfoil hat. (jk) It is super weird though.

i received a call and they stated they were a staffing agency and had a job for me. They kept asking me so many questions that a normal agency would not ask and I started asking him the questions. Really fishy!!!!!!!!

Seems legitimate. They were trying to get a good mailing address for an individual that listed me as a reference. Apparently there was a claim against that person and no one could find him.

A voice mail was left from "AR Group" and he said he was looking for me and another woman (didn't recognize the other name) regarding an insurance claim. No idea what this is about.

Rach 2009-07-12 04:17:54 Unknown
I have received a bunch of calls from these numbers for a few months, finally I answered one and it was a call about my ex they said they were after him for money of some sort and that he was wanted...now knowing his past I gave the woman all the information I had of his whereabouts...what is this group? Since my ex and I broke up I found out a lot about him including things such as him being in prison for drugs and money and such...I don't understand why these people keep calling me though?!

These a***oles called me today saying they were "The AR group," claiming to be helping a neighbor on an insurance claim. None of the names they mentioned were the names of my neighbor and I just kept saying "No such person lives near me." If I ever get another call like this again I will tell them to f*** off now that I know what they are up to. You should never give any info out to anyone over the phone unless it is your bank or other personal institution that you KNOW is them. You could be sued by your neighbor for helping one of these a***oles out and I could see how it has already happened. Remember, they buy junk debts, many of which have already been paid. They buy bad debts for pennies on the dollar then harass the people who originally owed the money (which has been written off). It is junk debt collection, they pay $100 dollars for a $100,000 dollar debt, they are scum.

I got a call as well, and the SOB lied to me. He said it was just a misunderstanding on an insurance claim that needed to be cleared up and something or the other about my parent's truck being out of state or out of the country. He went on to tell me he needed to know where their address so he could send them a form for them to fill out and send back to clear up this "misunderstanding," and at the beginning of the conversation he said my information would be confidential. I just got a call today that they came and picked up my stepdad's truck for collections. I'm not trying to say that my weren't responsible for missing notes, but that makes me look like an a**hole because here I am "helping" this guy out, and not only did they come and pick up the truck but told them that he talked to me and I told them where they were after he told me our conversation was confidential. Prick.

They called my neighbor asking about me, my daughter and a gold Jaguar. He didn't tell them anything but they were just fishing, because I have never owned a gold Jaguar and he though my daughter moved from Florida and she has never lived there.

They have called my house 3 times in the last week for my ex-husband. We have been divorced 4 years and my number is unlisted and blocked. He said his name was Greg Tuttle and that he was trying to reach my ex about an insurance claim. I happen to know he does not have any claims as his insurance agent is a friend. Why they are calling me I don't know, but I'm not calling them.
T 2009-03-09 16:38:59 Unknown
Also, when you talk to them they yell and don't believe that you dont' have the property! how do you handle them??
T 2009-03-09 16:38:11 Unknown

Call from David Butler. He said his office had an insurance claim and wanted my wife to call him back at 866-410-3275 ext 342. I knew it was fishy as we don't have any pending insurance problems. B*****ds.

This liar called ME today to ask me if i knew the people living in the house on the corner. Said he is processing a claim against them for a stolen car, and would I leave a message on their door. As he was speaking, I looked up the company name AR Group, and asked if they had a web site. He laughed. I thought it was really fish that he was calling the neighbors of these people. I didn't tell him anything, pretty much told him to buzz off.

I received a call today from this man named Chris Beagle, a private investigator in Texas from the same company. Just to let everyone know there, this is a private investigation company trying to recover on previous items from companies such as Nissan, Toyota, Cardi's Furniture. So if you recieve a call, and don't want to return the merchandise, hang up before they track the number down for you location and address!!!!!

Received a call from a lady indicating that she is conducting an investigation and needed me to give her a call. I live in California and would not have any knowledge of any type of investigation in Texas. I recognized the area code.

They called today asking for personal information. No information was given and we know that it is tied to AR Group in Dallas Texas and a collection agency, but there is no reason for us to get a phone call.
