I recieved a call from this number and when i answered it they hung up. I tried calling the number back and could not get through. How and why do I receive these calls?

I get a lot of calls like this I think in part because the economy is so deep under water that companies are pulling out the stops to squeeze out any revenue they can. I have also noticed that email marketing spam is up as well as billing errors in favor of the companies doing the billing.

If this is connected to Direct TV they need to communicate who have the account & stop harrassing people. It's simple communications 101. I just switched over to direct tv but not 100% happy with the switchover. Right now, after my 2 yr committment with them I think I would go back to RCN

Yes...this number is a DirecTV number. I called back and got a voice mail message telling me to leave a message and a DirecTV representative would call me back.

unlawful telemarketing by Direct TV/AT&T. calling over 12+ times a day is highly illegal for solicitation calls. class action lawsuit is in process.

Ugh!! They called me - mispronounced my name and then hung up. I have recieved 5 calls since then with no message. I can't wait until my contract runs out - this is just crap!!! I'm guessing it's Direct TV too.

Phone calls from this number go to 'missed calls' and if you call that number no answer. I'm getting one a day, and when another one came today, Sunday, I decided to find out what is going on. Thanks for this board.

You need to jump through hoops to get DirecTV to remove you from the list, and then they say it still takes at least 2 weeks to go through. Until that time, the calls continue everyday. VERY frustrating.

yes they call quite often (during work hours) and again tried to call back and they old don't answer or disconnect the call - i have direct tv and dish network - and you are right direct tv is the WORST
