Infinity  gives the person setting up the account option to allow inmates to call any number using the same pin, I am going through this myself as we speak with my roommate! so if any inmate shares the pin with a cellmate and the account is not set to work with One number but is open they can call anyone from the same pin, which is actually the account number for Infinity to  who ever set the account. But money runs out fast and Infinity is overpriced! looking for cheaper solution.. the inmates can also buy calling cards from commissary that are Infinity providers.

I've received daily calls from this number for a couple weeks.

I just got a call from this number and it was a friend who is traveling and using a calling card.

I got three calls from 2146614199 stating that it was a prison in Dallas Texas.  That said that it was a no cost call and did I want to accept the call.  On the third attempt I hit 1 to accept the call.  A man said "hello" and I said "Who are you trying to contact?" at which point they hung up.

MY ABUSIVE DAUGTHERS BOYFRIEND CALLED HER WITH THIS NO ABOUT55 TIMES IN ONE WEEKEND,THE WEEKEND BEFORD SHE DIED, HE WAS IN WASHINGTON PARISH JAIL. AND THEY DON'T FIND THIS STRANGE? I GUESS THE CRACKERJACK POLICE SYSTEM WE HAVE HERE WOULDN'T. I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD CALLING CARDS IN JAIL,WHAT HAPPEN TO MONERTING THEIR CALLS,I WOULD KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPEN TO MY DAUGHTER.

Its a call from an inmate accessible phone inside Denton Co. jail. Mystery solved. ILD Telecom Inc. is the phone system they use

I received about 12 calls from this number from 3:00 to about 6:30.  It was a recording saying that it was a toll free call from a correctional facility.  "Please press one to accept or press 2 or hang up if you do not wish to accept this call."  The last call I decided to accept and told him that I didn't know him and to stop calling my phone.  I haven't received another call since but I can't wait to see my cell phone bill.  If this happens again I will try contacting the facility.

Saw this as a missed call on cell phone. Tried to call. Number is blocked.

we have gotten many, many calls from pay phones which cite fidelity (or something) for a collect call from prisoners.  WE have not taken them and were gone when many of the calls came in on our caller ID or answering service before we cut it off.

Ok, This is NOT a Jail. I just confirmed it. ACN Canada uses this phone number for people calling using a CALLING CARD issued by their company (ACN U.S. and ACN Canada), they supply cheap calling cards.

I got the number on my cell, then I realized later that in fact it was me calling myself testing the calling card.

The 214 area code confused me, I wondered who it was, Googled the number, brought me here.

Then I remembered I did that (long story, I cancelled a bunch of ACN cards used in my business, and tested them to see if ACN had cancelled them yet, they hadn't.

So, I called myself again using an ACN card, and sure enough this number came up on my cell again.

I suspect everyone saying it's a jail, is using calling cards from ACN properly issued to inmates in that jail, but in fact it is from ANYONE, ANYWHERE using an ACN card. (I called nyself from Saskatchewan).

This is NOT a scam, it is probably someone you know personally.

I Received a call on my cell phone from this number, I didn't answer it but voice mail was left so I called it back to see who it was and it said I would be charged for this number then that was all that was on the message, I looked on internet it came from Denton county jail in Texas I called the jail and spoke with a lady and she said to call back in am and report to a Mr . Rich.  I will also call my phone company to make sure I was not charged.  I know no one from Texas nor from the denton county jail in Denton texas.  I do not want this on my phone and I will not pay anything for it.

This is a LEGIT call.  Incoming toll-free call from a jail inmate using a calling card they purchase with their jail commissary account.  It is NOT a scam or collect call.  And, you will NOT be charged anything if you accept the call. It's someone who knows you that is incarcerated, and rather than buying junk food with their money, s/he thought enough of you to buy a calling card so they could call you.  ANSWER the phone.  It's the right thing to do.
