Robocall about merchant services, message left. Called the number back, pressed 9 when prompted to have my number removed; robo voice said an error had occurred, and then said the user's mailbox was full and no message could be left. A waste of a long-distance call unfortunately.

It's robocall spam telling me that new Oct. 1 regulations require that I replace my credit card terminal.  This is rather amusing since I don't have a credit card terminal at my business!

Same as everyone has said.  Robo call about a credit card machine.  We don't take cc, as we only deal with large corporations, so it is extremely annoying to get these kind of calls.

I hope something bad doesn't happen to these spammers. Marked as spam on GV: "Ohh, this is a notification from merchant services. Your business is eligible for a free replacement of your credit card processing terminal new regulations as of October 1st require this terminal replacement, please press 1. Now to request your new free credit card terminal. That's the one key, enter now or press 8, to be removed from our list."

I picked up the phone and got the same message about a free credit card terminal and they claimed to be from merchant Services (which I do business thru) . I asked the caller if they actually worked for merchant servies and he hung up. I called back the exact same number and someone answers the phone saying that they're from Equifax. Shady, shady scammers it seems. I wouldnt touch this with a ten foot poll.

These idiots called our business today at 1442 hours with their illegal prerecorded message saying they were "Merchant Services" and our company was eligible for a "free" credit card processing terminal.  Free my back-side!  Apparently they're out to scam business people who are clueless and think they can get something for nothing.  I pressed 8 to be removed from the list but I'm sure they'll call again and again.  And I'll report them again and again.

Fear Marketing at its best to small businesses, and really deceptive robo call.  We have a reputable processor through an association.  These calls are annoying.

this was a robo-call that started it's message as soon as I picked up, asking about updating our credit card processing machine. Since we are a cash only business, we don't have a credit card processing machine.

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

They should be arrested and incarcerated. Calling them idiots is very kind.

I have this number blocked.  This POS tried 8 times within 2 minutes!  These idiots do not understand that I am blocking their number for a reason!

get a daily call from this number. it shows dallas tx on caller id. have never answered it, but after reading the other posts, i never will. thanks to everyone for posting

Called around 3:00pm and a recorded message proceeded to say they could replace credit card reader. Press 1 to speak to a representative and press 8 to be removed from their list. I pressed 8 but we'll see if it's a waste of time.  Caller ID says: Texas Caller.

my phone number is on the 'do not call' registry,  but this number call every day, at about 3:00.  I don't answer and they don't leave a message.  Today I picked up, but they didn't say anything.

I did not pick up and let it go to voicemail but they did not leave a message. Caller ID: TEXAS CALLER.
