They also called me saying the same thing.  Its a scam they are trying to scare you into paying out some money.  The Lawfirm dosn't exist or the lawyer.  Don't worry I told them that my lwayer was calling them back to discuss this matter.  But I also told them that I did a search and the Firm dose not exist or the name of the lawyer.  They never called me again.

My son and daughter received a call from the above stating that I (their mother) had committed identity theft and there was a lawsuit against me.  I made believe I was my daughter and questioned the gentlemen ( from Pakistan or some country like that) and he told me that I had to have my mother call him.  He would not tell me what company the lawsuit was from but said it was a finance company.

Thank god for this forum, I was just petrified.  Hopefully they eventually I dont know what else to do.  Thank god for this forum though I was just about to be real scared.

They call me 12 times a day. They say there are pending criminal charges against me for a loan I supposedly received from www.cashadvanceusa.com How can I report them to the authorities. They are now harassing me at my place of employment.

I received a call as well... It got to the point where I had to file a police report (thru local PD) for harassment. I have documented proof of all incoming calls from this number and will follow through on charges.

i just received a call from a Steven Clarke from a law firm in Texas, the same 214 number you all remember. they told me the very same things they have told all of you. That there will be awarrant for my arrest that i will have to pay between 17 and 18 thousand dollars and be in jail 180 days. Also since they knew I was in the Army they say that I would be court martialed and thrown out the Army and my 15 year career would be ruined. They wanted me to fax them an apology letter.....can you believe that? and send them a Walmart Money Pack for $879.59. Iintially freaked out and thought my life, career, marriage, and well being of our 8 children was in jeopardy. I had briefly contemplated more drastic measures so my family would have the financial stability to defeat all of this. I am not speaking of committing a crime, but of intiating my life insurance. cooler heads prevailed and i researched until I found this forum. Now Im gonna put the word out all over the Army if I can so service members like me wont have to go through what I just did

I received a message from this dumb a** phone number and they said I committed fraud.  They said I was going be arrested too.  When I asked what for, they gave me the run around.

they called me and told me if that i did not talk to them they were going to come up to my job and make sure i lose my job they get really angry when you hang up on them

Same stuff here...told them i had reported ALL six of their numbers to the ftc and my local police...he said I am so scared...i said do not call me again...said his name was Eric Watson...had to have him say it 3 times to understand through his thick middle eastern accent...Dont fall for this anyone..I have never had a pay day loan nor do i ever intend to.....Thank goodness my boss is understanding...though they have only called my job once..but they have bugged me for 3 days nows all from different numbers....i just want them to stop...come on now...i told u i know its a scam and i am not giving u any info...i am a dead fish-no money from me....give it up geez

It's a scam.Last month I rec'd the same calls,but from a different company.Same Motive.Just hang up,block or act as though you don't speak English or Spanish.Then they will call back and say I see you want a new car ,I can get you approved.I said,no,,I have a new car.They say,No maam you appiled for a car loan I can help you...lol 4 Real!

I have gotten the same calls the last few days and have demanded their attorneys information. The would hang up. Then the would call me back over and over again and harass me. I finally turned the tables on these jerks and started to call them back relentlessly. I stated, I would not stop calling them until the provided proof of there arrest warrant. This is when they got ugly and they got vulgar and threaten my life and my families. I would like to know from anyone out there can anything be done about these a***s.

I just received a call as well threatening a lawsuit for an alleged unpaid payday loan (no such loan took place, though I did inquire to find out how they worked).

I asked where they were calling from 325-265-9714 at Anderson & Associates Law firm in Houston TX.  However when I did *69, the number reported from the phone company was 214-702-9432.  Both 214 and 325 seem to be in different counties in TX (neither has Houston in).  The caller gave his name as Chris Traynor, when I demanded his name.

I would like to know who to report this to?  This is very upsetting to me.

A great scam game. If you pick up the phone quickly you get a person.They will hang up. Otherwise you get a mumbling sand muncher telling you you had better get a lawyer or good luck. ROFLMAO.

I have been getting calls from 214-702-9432 on my answering machine.  The caller says someone elses name, the last four digits of the social security number , then says it is a time sensitive call and for me to get an attorney.Sometimes it is very difficult to understand what he is saying.  Then ends with "Good luck!"   Such a waste of my time and to be worried for nothing! Glad to see others posting the same info on the web.   How can I stop these calls?

Same message as well from the same company as the others stated. There from Richardson & Associates and different representatives. There is another number out there as well that start with 347 area code. One representative name is Jose who starts with the routing number from you bank and the last 4 of your social. He also states that we tried to get the 200 dollars out of your account and it was declined of course that was not true because there was money. So I knew something was fishy and called my Bank and asked if such a deposit had been made since  they supposely put money into my account. No such depsoits WHERE  made and when I stated that I had called my bank. Immediately they hung up. THESE ARE SCAMMERS AND WE NEED TO PUT A STOP FROM THEM!!!!

Direct your employer to this site, and this forum.  Should help.  And/or do a screen shot and print the series of posts and send it to HR, indicating that you are a victim of a scam, and you want their help in stopping it.  Most big companies with formal HR departments can help, but you must be proactive, and give them all the info you have.  Since this scam is all over the internet, and in fact one of the latest forum threads on this site, they can see for themselves that they're being used as part of a scam.  They may not appreciate some crook using their business lines to harass you.

Angie, You need to advise them not to call your place of employment again. If they do they are violating the fair credit act. I have been receiving calls from this number also. A foreign male who states his name is Jason Green left me a message. Fortunately my voice mails go to text, so whatever they are saying I have proof of. I have attempted to call the number back, but I too get the message that the mailbox is full.
There are so many scams out there related to cash advances. I recently received a call that I had made a promise to pay one of them $300.00 the previous week, and I have had no contact with the cash advance company. I told the male that and to quit calling me, then I went into the website for my cell carrier and blocked the number.
I had previously been in contact with an attorneys office re: these calls, and they stopped for a period of time, but have recently started again.

I called the company the claimed I owed and had filed charges against me,,the company said it was a scam and I was;nt even in there system.I called them back and tolsd them to send me papers for me lawyer to llok at on the charges and he told me no I just needed to pay my bill or go to jail..It is a scam they answer the phone one time "hello" and the next time "law office" no respectable law firm answeres there phone that way and not give you information..They ask me to confirm my name and s.s # and I told them no I would not give them my info and they hung up on me..

I received a call from this "law firm" a couple of days ago and I listen to the message yesterday and they were threatening a lawsuit.  So i called them back and the guy said let me transfer you to the attorney.  When the attorney came on line and said my name I correct him and then it went down hill from there.  he wouldn't explain anything to me and then when I got tired of the foolishness I told him I was going to report him to the Attorney General, he then said I was rude and hung up on me.  I am going to do more research and find out who they are and report them.  Just reading this blog and seeing how many people are affected by this scam is disturbing.

Same thing keeps happening to me and he also told me to quit interupting and when I had questions he kept interupting me and them he got mad when I told him to stop that he had his chance now it is mine. I am about to lose my job from the phone calls.

Calls my work and says that I have charges and I will be arrested and I need to have my lawyer contact them. I call back and they must have caller ID because they know it is me. They also say that they will contact my job and they are felony charges and they wont tell me for what, when, or where.

i recieved a call like this to this morning and at 1st they said i didnt pay on an internet payday loan and i was going to have a warent out for my arrest in the morning and these guys have ALL my info ssn diver license # and everything you name it they have it. and so at 1st i was freaked out then there were thing they were saying that put up big red flags so i called my local police and they called the number the officer and his partner and me and these 2 cops have both been having them call us all day long and the police at 1st told me to call back and try to get them to fax me info on my so called bad loan and charges i am to be arrested for and they wouldnt give it to me and kept hanging up and so i kept calling back and finally they started calling me a lesbian a shemale asking my size and saying i want there dick in my mouth and all sorts of vulgar stuff and so yeah they are a scam also from me calling and demanding info they got mad and called me and said its there turn to harrass me and they called me from the 214 number and a 305 number and even 911 laughing that they can call me from any number. my local police said they belive there somewhere in the congo so they are so full of it.

Someone answered the phone and just said "law office' - no name or anything.  My Attorney's secretary called and told him they were calling from Attorney's office regarding a client of ours.  He told them he would not talk to her have the attorney call and hung up on her.  It's a scam.   Reputable companies wanting to legitimately collect on a debt don't act like that.

I just received a call as well, i asked or they could mail me the papers and he said no, that tomorrow they will come and arrest me .... i tryed calling back and no answer or it says mail box is full ... their must be a way to catch them so we can put a stop to that

Received a call from what is supposed to be a law office by the name of Richardson and Associates.  The called and gave the incorrect last four numbers to my SS#.  Then hung up when I said that was not my number. So I called back and gave my phone number, and the person told me to contact a lawyer because they "were going to put me behind the bars tomorrow".  

This has to be a scam, because they could give me no information.  I also have been receiving calls from another number in California with the same plot, and same shoddy information.

They called my place of employment and threatend me regarding a pending lawsuit.  And repeatedly asked to speak with my supervisor.  I asked if they had my mailing address to send me the papers and the caller kept overtalking me.  I hung up and then he proceeded to continue to call but I did not answer.  This smells like a scam because both parties I spoke with sounded like they were reading from scripts.

I work for a large organization with a legal staff in house and I could have them handle this since this company keeps calling their number but I do not want to involved.

Received a few calls from this number finally set up vm on phone cause I never answer calls from people I don't know and caller was obnoxious and rude claiming I have unpaid load for $744.?? From a cash advance place, And cyber police were going to come to my place of employment with the papers to arrest me so I better have an attorney. REALLY??? I may have gotten a little freaked out but a close friend of mine had the same thing happen to her abt 6 months ago and found out it was a scam. He stated he was from Richardson and Associates law firm, and at first his name was Adam, and then Alex. I basically told him your a scam and if you don't stop calling me I will find you and slap a harassment law suit on you! He kept telling not to interrupt so of course I did, I made his job as frustrating as possible, and then basically said at the end so when should I expect "cyber police" and since I don't work good luck finding me. If I get a call again I may just go along with the game and act freaked out just to see what he'll say then. If hate that people are able to get away with these scams and no one seems to care abt the people that don't know about them and become really devastated from these type of calls. It find it really funny that they chose a cash advance place considering I have never done business with those types of places.
