I paid these guys money in january. Now I have a different collections agency out of houston trying to collect on the same debt. It was for a payday loan. Anybody know what my legal standing is here?

These guys are a joke.  They called my wife and I both.  They are not going to do anything but harrass you.  Call their bluff.  They gave me the EXACT same spill.  Lawsuites and theft of service charges, call back by three or else. Well I didnt call back by three. Joe Rogers called my work the next day and said he was on his way to my job to have me arrested.  I just told he I would see him when he got there.  Guess what he was full of crap. He never showed.  I did some research of my own. They will not give any information about who they are or where their office is.  I belive the Joe Rogers and Glen whatever his name is are fake names. I do have one legit name though.  I found out their account managers name. He name is Lea McMillan.  You "cant" talk to her though. Glen informed me that she doesnt deal with dirt bags. Well they never really give their company name either. They just say credit services. Their company name is actually called Metro Creditor Services.  They are located in Dallas off of 75 and Park Ln.  The address is 10260 N. Central Express Way, Dallas, Tx. 75231.  It is in the Endocrine Associates of Dallas building.  I dont know what suit they are in but I am going to find out.  When I get the rest of the information I am going to turn them over to the Texas Attorney General.  I would suggest that you save any voicemails they leave and record any conversations you have with them and turn it into the Attorney General as well.

These guys are still calling people harrassing with threating phone calls and demanding cash or money for medical bills. They have used the name Glen Stevens, Joe Rodgers, Mark. They wont give any information about themselves just tell you that they filing criminal and theft charges and you need pay or you will go to jail. Got a call a few minutes ago from a restricted number. The message was from "Joe Rogers" & he said his attorney had filed quite a bit of "stuff" against me & that the main one was hot check charges which carried a 2-3 year jail sentence & also theft of services which carried a 1 1/2 year jail sentence. He said he hated to see that happen to anyone & he needed to hear from me by 3 today (unless I had already been picked up) or I would be picked up & fully prosecuted. He left no other information beyond that. I googled his number & came to this site. Any advice?

I just received a call from this same number, with the exact same story.  I contacted the debtor themselves, and the debt was much less than what 'Glen Stevens' told me it was over the phone.  I am freaking out... someone help....

After Getting a call from this Company "credit services" they left a message I was at work and was unable to return the call till my break.  When I called back the man answered I asked for the man that left the message on my phone he pretended that he wasnt there then asked for my name I gave it to him and then he said he needed a case number.  I stated to him that I didnt know what he was talking about I didnt know what this was about. He stated that this was about a dental bill that was 98 dollars and that if I did not set up for a corrier to pick up my payment then they will serve me with papers. I said many times I will take care of this matter that I was unaware of it that I had moved and I dont pick up the mail my husband does that he then accused me of lieing and was very very rude when I had started many times I wanted to pay it that it wasnt a problem he even gave me my sons name in refrence.  After I told him I was going to the dental office to pay it directly he said that wasnt possible that I would still be served for theft of services. I have since called Next centery Dental whom I have been talking to to schedule my son some major dental work and never said a word about it. I told their billing agent that their collections company is a scam and I am surprised that they are still in business.  They have now officially lost $4000 due to their rude collection company

Hi, i know this is some time ago, but i just had an incident happen to me yesterday. He called and said i was about to be served with papers civil suit for theft of services.  I was really afraid after he said the exact same thing you all were hearing.. that i would go to jail if i didnt pay that today.  i had no money to pay anything but he said a business check would work and Oh my gosh, my boss wrote one to him. Im worried now.  He said he wasnt allowed to tell me the nature of the civil suit but he would go ahead and share it with me cause i sounded like a nice person who wanted to take care of this immediately.  It was for a dental bill of 400.  It was credit services that called me....

My 76 year old mother-in-law called me this afternoon completely distraught. Had a man call her saying that I was a criminal charge with theft of credit services and that he was going to have to pick me up at 1:00pm if I did not call them immediately to pay them.  She tried to tell them that I was at work and they asked her what was more important that I was at work or that they were coming to pick me up at 1:00pm. He told her that he was a constable. When I called the number I immediately asked to speak to a supervisor and he informed me that he was the supervisor. I asked his name: Glen Davis. I asked what company he was with and he responded: did you not here me when I answered the phone. He preceded to belittle me until I hung up because I just couldn't believe what he was saying to me. My husband immediately called them back and when he asked him what company he was with this is how he responded: did you not here me when I answered the phone isn't it a little early to be hitting the sauce. He continued to say things like that until my husband was more upset than I have ever seen him. I don't even want to repeat how he responded. After finding this site he has filed a police report with the city of fort worth and is pursuing more legal action. We are also going to see about contacting the local news. I still cant believe how upset they got my mother-in-law. It is down right criminal.

These same people called me today with the same MO.  A "constable" called me who would not identify himself and said that he had a warrant for my arrest but that in the charges he noticed that this was over something stupid and that I had 3 children.  He believed I was a nice person and he wanted to help me out.  He then gave me this info to call, 214-987-1288, Joe Rodgers, Credit Service.  When I called and asked for Joe Rodgers, he was unavailable and I was left to talk to a Glenn Davis.  The man proceeded to tell me the same thing about there being two cases against me, one was a civil case and the other was a legal case for theft of services.  Ofcourse I was freaking out, and I did not even know who the debt was from.  He later on in the convo told me it was for Next Centry Dental, I proceeded to tell him that it was not a valid debt...that next centry dental had been told by my insurance to resubmit the claim properly because they had not the first time and they never did it.  Insurance will pay when that is done...this is also a debt that is four years old.  Prior to this phone call I had recieved nothing in the mail or anything it caught me completely off guard...I think that is part of their game.  When I told him to ask them to resubmit the claim he said that he would not and that I needed to pay or I was going to jail that they were not going to go round and round trying to figure this out.  I was getting angry because I thought I was going to have to pay this to prevent leaving my kids alone.  So I got off the phone with him and asked my mom to borrow the 450 that they agreed to settle for, she thankfully agreed.  I then called my husband and he said that this all sounded like a hoax, that what they where doing did not sound legit.  First of all, a constable does not call you before they pick you up, they just pick you up.  And in civil cases like this you would just be given info of a court date not be arrested.  Ofcourse I was still scared...what if he was wrong, so I called the guy back and I started asking questions.  What county did they file the charges with, what where the case #'s, they only gave me one case number and there should of been two.  That is when they said they had a submission that there were no charges filed yet, so then I asked why is a constable calling if there are no charges filed, so then I told him that I was not going to pay unless I had something in writing, I was not going to give them money over the phone unless I had something saying the charges where dropped.  He kept on telling me at that point none had been filed and I was like I dont believe you, I want the paper work for these charges in my hands.  I told them to mail me something and I would submit payment with that, but they wanted to come to my home and pick up a money order, which confused me more...or cash.  No credit card payments, no checks....I was like uhm, no.  So then he got even ruder, calling me a lier and a bit**, asking me if I was married because he doubt that I would be with the way I run my mouth, then when I said I was he asked me if I beat my husband or my kids as that is the only way that they would stay with me, told me I needed to quit playing childish games, calling me a theif and a manipulator, telling me that I was taking advantage of this company (uhm no, other way around) he ended up hanging up on me.  At this point I was angry but still scared, I thought this was a scam but at the same time I was worried if it wasnt that I would go to jail.  I called my husband again and he did a google search on the company and found all of these sites, ofcourse after I read all of this I was sure it was a scam...thank you guys for the help.  My husband then called him and said that we had decided we would take our chances disputing this in court because he did not feel that it was a valid debt.  Ofcourse the guy tried to get attitude and my husband was just a smart a** right back and when he realized my husband was not going to play his game he hung up on him as well.  No one ever called back and I never got arrested.  I kept on reading through these sites and I decided to call the Arlington Police Department and file a report for impersonating a police officer and for harassment since they were claiming that they were going to come to my house and I better have the money or else.  Even after my husband called him I was still so scared that I locked all the doors in the house and windows and I turned off all the lights until he got home.
I also have cross referenced all of these numbers and the ALL went to the same voicemail...I called after 5.  All of these numbers are the same people, the same company.  None of the names are real names, these are all fake names that are being used.  Metro and Texas Credit Services are the same place.  The police advised me to record future phone calls because they are breaking the law with the scare tatics they are using to collect debt and that they would add every incident to the report.  I hope this helps some people...do not give them any money.

I got a call from this man, would not give me his name says he was with the medical legal processing dept and police officer said I'd owed 360 which I don't, called be me a bloody bi*** and said that a sheriff would be to my door steps in 3 hours to serve me papers then started asking was I single continue to hang up when called. This will be report4d with Irving and Garland Police dept. Who ever this man is had my address and contact# says his badge# is 2378

Just got a voice mail from 214-750-0399, claiming they are "Litigation Services of America". They said they need to talk to me involving a "theft of services" charge if I want to avoid going to jail. Very aggressive and rude! They did not say what the claim is based on or to whom I supposedly owe money! I have not received anything in the mail showing an outstanding invoice for any company or service. What's the deal?!?!?!
I will be filing complaints with the BBB, FTC and PUC today.

Hi, How do I get in touch with you. I still have the messages that they left recorded. Said that it was for "theft by check" , then changed it to "theft of services". I haven't used checks in years. They did get in touch with me over a bill that I tried to pay several times, but the company would not accept my payment since they could not come up with the correct amount owed. (owner of company was the only one who could fix the computer glitch). They finally called me and spoke with me rather than my family's voicemails though. Very, very, hateful person on the phone. Said that I was going to jail, my kids would be taken away, ect. Wanted $260+ for a bill that was only $60. Tried to pay the $60 the other day to the company again, and there is still a "glitch", and I still can't pay it. I give up. I had a few bill collectors contact me about 15 years ago, and they always wanted to work with me. These people just want to say hateful things, say you are going to jail, call your family before they call you and ask for money, and break about every law you can do over the phone. I have the voice mails saved, and if you are getting a legal matter going, count me in. Just let me know how to get in touch with you.

I spoke with the guys at Metro. They left a message at my client's home stating they had filed a suit and criminal charges. I would ask that the persons here contact me to get some additional info. I am filing a suit against the guys and would like to know what creditors they represent. My client was contacted about a day care bill.

If you call them I would record the conversation. That way you have proof of the extortion. I reported it to the FTC. They are very busy folks and very nasty. What county do you live in?

This happened recently. Mr. Porter called someone I know saying that he was pressing charges on me for theft. Didn't call me, just someone I know. Did a google search on the number, and came to this site. Will keep checking back to see if anyone else has had an issue with this guy.

They also use number 800 750 0399. It is a scam. Read the info for that number. The same thing happened to me, but over a daycare. I man called me acting, nice, saying he had a warrent for theft of services and gave me a number to call. He said id I could work it out with them, I would not be areested. David Kline, Brad Porter and Charles Armstrong are the names inthis game. I called and the man sounded the same as the Dallas Constable that pretrnded to call. David Kline threatened me with areest and was very ugly, rude and name called. They wanted me to wire money to person to person Charles Armstrong, or else I would be arrested. I work down the street from the Dallas Constables office, so I went there. This is a scam!!!!!I called David Kline from my cell phone and the constable talked to him and listened to him when he thought it was me on the phone!! BEWARE DO NOT SEND MONEY!!!! They even gave me a case number. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call from an unknown number 2/9/2009 at approximately 10 am from a "Roy" with Credit Services informing me that I was a thief and that he was going to file charges against me today at Irving Police station.  He also informed me that I should pay my bills and stop stealing.  Then I received yet another call from an unknown number at 12:36 stating that they were Marshall Elliot from the state police department wanting to come and arrest me.  He then advised for me to contact Brad Porter at Credit Services telephone number 214-750-0399 to deliver a payment in order to stop the arrest.  He then started talking really fast and over me when I repeatedly asked for his contact information and badge number.  He never answered me and hung up.  I then called the 214-750-0399 and spoke with a David Kline.  Mr. Kline sounded identical to the Marshall Elliot police officer that called me unavailable at 12:36 pm 2/9/2009.  I informed him of my insight and he informed me that I was not correct.  He then assisted me by telling me that I owed $480 and that the checks for the loan company totaled $360.  He then advised that he would accept a cash payment of $450 to settle the case in full.  I asked where to submit a cashier's check for this settlement and he advised very rudely and with much hostility that I can not come to them and that a courier would come and pick up the money from me.  He began to become very rude and kept slandering me so I hung up.  I then received a call from 214-750-7397.  Whomever called hung up before I could answer the phone so I called back.  They then informed me that the current person was Roy J Bond and that he was the person that originally handled the case.  He informed me of the same things that Mr. Kline advised me of and I told him I would check with the bank and give him a call back.  Not only have these persons harassed me, they have called my friends, family and job and advised that I am a thief and steal.  Mr. Kline told me during our phone call that I was a con-artist.  Due to the nature of the calls, the tone of all of their voices, the portrayal of police officers, threats, repeated calls and slander, I am afraid to leave my home.  I have contact Irving Police Department for help.
