I purchased a ticket from Atlanta Ballet. Since then, I have received weekly calls from it attempting to sell me tickets. It is absolutely annoying.

As much as I love the Atlanta Ballet, they are not making me very happy by repeatedly calling my mobile phone even when asked to stop. They're making more enemies than sales. Unfortunate, since dance needs more support in the Atlanta community.

Seriously.  I did the same thing.  We even moved out of state and they still call and tell me "you can buy them as a gift for someone who lives here."  Please, just back off.  Indeed, when I asked to be removed from their calling list they just say okay.  And yet I still get a call per month from them.

I have asked several times not to be contact by Atlanta Ballet.  I made the mistake of buying tickets once so now they have my number.  I have begged to be removed from their list and they keep calling.

Oh wow, im glad to see Im not the only person being harassed!  I honestly get a call from them twice a day EVERY day.  Its been going on since I went to see Romeo and Juliet back in 2008!!! I ask them twice a day every day to remove me and cant seem to get them to stop, so now i just store them in my phne as Do Not Answer.  I will try using that email though! thanks!

I've had my phone number for 3 years, yet they keep calling for the person who had the number before me. So annoying!

Same here - I went to the Nutcracker and have now been called 5 or 6 times in the past 3 weeks. The first time I made the mistake of answering, and the guy on the other end starts telling me about how they need donations for their after school programs... and then asks me to donate A THOUSAND DOLLARS. Seriously? I asked him if it was possible to donate online (1, I want to read about what I'm donating to, and 2, I don't give out credit card info over the phone) - he lies to me and tells me I can't, even though I just checked the website and there is obviously an online donation form! I'm sure they do a lot of good with their programs, and I know they rely heavily on donations to support them, but this is NOT the way to get individuals to donate. (Also, it might be good to know your demographic... I bought discount tickets for the Nutcracker, I certainly don't have $1000 just laying around and burning a hole in my pocket.)

I might be more understanding if they were calling me with some kind of incentive to buy tickets (like a deal for return guests, etc), but cold calling to ask for donations and then not taking the hint when I decline? Just ridiculous.

Add me to the list after seeing the Nutcracker this year. What is wrong with these people.

Fifth time in 2 weeks.  We come to Atlanta once a year for ballet, etc.  I doubt we will again.  I will contact the people who run the ballet next time, and also lodge a complaint with the better business bureau.

I've had a similar experience with the Atlanta Ballet.  They just do not take no for an answer.  I've asked to be removed numerous times with no luck.  I too will not attend another Atlanta Ballet because of this issue.  Hopefully they find this blog and make some adjustments.

This message is for the author of the "WTF" post above:  We are not idiots, we know how to hang up the phone.  That's not the issue.  The issue is repetitive phone calls from a company when we have asked to be removed from the solicitation list.

These people are relentless.  It's IMPOSSIBLE to get off the phone with these annoying solicitors.  They have a counter for every excuse you give them not to donate money, and call at least 2 or 3 times a month.

ATL BALLET; GET OVER YOURSELVES!  YOU ARE EXTREMELY ANNOYING!

You are costing your theater business by calling me.  I said no 3 times.  Get the point.

I bought two tickets for AB for my father as a present and ended up being the most expensive gift ever, not for the price but for the agony of having to deal with their telemarketers tactics. I grew tired of telling them to stop calling me but it seems they just get more inspired to do so.

Yes.  Another one here.  These people have no scruples.  I will never go to the ballet again.  We've asked at least a half dozen times to be removed from the list to no avail.  AB is worse that the worst telemarketer I've ever experienced.  You'd think for such a high-brow organization they wouldn't be such dishonest scumbags.

I have listed my cell number with donotcall.gov and been forwarded to a man named Stephen at Atlanta Ballet about stopping these calls.  I also will never buy through them again.  In case anyone else wants to use the e-mail of this man that told me he would remove my number it is stephen.word@atlantaballet.com and I was told he would be one to do it.  He did tell me would remove me but I just had yet another call not five minutes ago to which I sent him another e-mail.  Next time I will take more action.

This is the Atlanta Ballet attempting to secure donations or sell tickets.

If you're going to buy tickets to the Atlanta Ballet, do so at the box office or at a ticketmaster location where you pay in person.  Don't buy over the internet or the Atlanta Ballet will continually call and mail you despite being told to stop.
