Does anyone ever fall for this?  This "well spoken" individual has contacted me 6 times in the last 3 days, trying to pressure me into giving him a deposit.  Well, at least that's what I can make out from his poorly constructed broken English messages.

Had a run in with this this scammer today. This was his message.

 Have you swing by to view from the outside, I have relocated to Hyattsville,MD with my family the water,heat,trash,and electricity are include with the rent you need to look it from the outside first, am only looking to rent the house and not selling it anymore. i am renting myself i don't have any agent or relative around i want to rent it myself, there is washer,dryer,hookups and all appliances included. Pets are allowed.

I have the keys here with me i am renting myself not dealing with the agent anymore, i can mail it to you and secure the house for you asap, do you have good credit  and reference?the deposit is 1000 the lease will be for 1 year with an option to renew it do you have work and landlord references and you can provide pay-stub?the house is in a perfect condition.If anything goes wrong with the pipe or anything just contact me i will make arrangement for repair.You can reach me at 2147167463.

Sniffed it out immediately. The property address is 1414 Roman Rd, Grand Prairie TX 75050

What a scam! Trying to rent a lakefront property in Weatherford, Texas.  Sniffed out this scam pretty quickly when they wouldnt send any form of documentation (power of attorney) showing that they had right to rent the property.  Went to the property and by stroke of luck, spoke with the brother of the owner.  He was there doing some maintenance.  He pretty much capped it all off when he gave us the name of his nephew who would be handling any transactions, and it didn't match the caller.  

Caller texted and called from 214-716-7463.  Spoke in broken English.

Currently using the property at 2301 Portola Way, Sacramento CA, which ironically has a for sale sign out front, and just held an open house this weekend. It's listed on Trulia and Hotpads.

And getting particulars about the property I suggested that he e-mail me a copy of the lease and after I have everything verified by my attorney I would send deposit after he tried his best to get me to send money he said he would send the lease via e-mail as of yet I haven't received an
y more correspondence..

Scam..!!.There was too many red flags; the deal is too good to be true, #205-928-3372 automated text messages with no straight answers to my questions, phone call from #334-635-5063 men with heavy accent kind of rushing,demanding, then he send the rental application from this email address  ajudithdalton@yahoo.com asking for the money to be sent via Money Gram "today" and he will send me the keys to the house. Address they want you to send money is: Maseko Siyabonga,825 Over Downs Dr,Dallas, TX 75230 .
Seriously! Why would I send money to anybody......
I drove by to see the property from the outside, it is in a gated community- when I called from the gate the name and house number matching with the actual listing person they said the house is for sale not for rent.

I am and I'm not surprised that others have posted already about this person. I also saw that someone is currently living in the house and was told no, and that in fact, the furnished house was included in the rent. I also received texts asking me to Western Union the deposit and that the keys would be mailed out for me to be able to view the home at my leisure. None of it added up for me either.

Too many Red Flags!!! Automated text replies that aren't even all in English. What I mean is that you can tell that either English is not their first language or they are lacking education. There is no reason for me to trust this person, that I've never met, to mail me the keys while I mailed him a deposit. That made no sense to me at all.

I had concerns about this listing from the beginning.  I drove by the house and it appeared to me that someone was living there too. When I asked he replied with " no the house comes furnished and electricity, heat are included in rent." (I said to myself.... WHAT?! What's wrong with this picture?) When I asked to see inside he told me he'd (get ready for this one) MAIL me the key to the house!!! The final straw for me was when he asked me to WESTERN UNION him the deposit. Oh Hell nooo, I thought. OH! And the Amt was different to move in between me and my friend. Yea. I'm pretty much believing that this is a SCAM too. Thank you for posting what you did to confirm my thoughts.

Scam as hell! They promise keys for deposit, once you send it ... you loose it. They are Thiefs! Here are the numbers:  214-771-8367 , 214-716-7694 and they message you from: 214-247-6973.  Address they want you to send money is: Maseko Siyabonga, 9315 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX, 75218. They also threat you w messages like: I am gonna kill you and FBI if you send them. They needs to be prosecuted.
