I was contacted by a Ms Cross who is very rude and unprofessional. My mistake was that I paid them some of the money that they claimed I owed but I lost the number and went to google to search for federal recovery and the only thing I could remember was that the # started with a 2 something area code then I stumbled across all these remarks about federal recovery and some posting had a phone # thay.had a 2 something area code so I called it and Lord behold it was the same people. So I told the lady I wanted to speak to someone about a payment and she transferred me to a Ms Cross who became very rude and upset because I said I couldn't make my payment this month she said they would file it in court against me for the full amount and then hung up on me. So I called back to make sure they wouldn't try and take the money because I wouldn't have it in the account and Ms Cross asked me "why am I calling her back she has nothong else to say to me" and I said what she says "I didn't stutter" but this suppose to be gob yeah ok scam with her rude a**.

I reccieved a call yesterday at my job accuseing me of sone type of check fraud and told me they were comeng the next day to arrest me at my place of empoyment in which i will spend 10 to 12 days in jail  while they investigate and he told me i would be found guilty he has. me scared to death and i havent done anything but i ended up calling in sick and lost a days worth of pay i couldnt afford to do this.im si pissed off what should i do?there #is 414-448-1573

I got a call from a Ms. Jenna Hodge.  She said I was under investigation in Cook County for check fraud.  I don't use checks.  She also sent a form to my work fax number requesting info about my employment.  I am going to file a complaint with the BBB!

Yes these people has been calling me for 2 days saying I am under investigation for check fraud I do not even write checks I called the number back and do not get an answer after reading everybody posts I see it is just a scam!!!

yeah i got a call from them claiming they are from Central Processing Services and it was a call abotu cehck fraud. Same 888 # and same file number 3 digits - 3 digits.

DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE. They threaten criminal charges and are just bill collectors who will stoop to ANY means including harrassing family members. Tell them to stop calling your phone number and if they continue, FILE A POLICE REPORT FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARRASSMENT. They try to sound legal and official by mentioning 'case numbers' and it is only a form of intimidation. They will use all means to search for family members and call their cells numbers. These people are despicable. They harrassed an elderly woman who had no idea what they were calling about. They go by the name of 'Federal Recovery' and claim to be a Federal processor. Don't fall for it.

These people are the scum of the earth. They called an 84yr woman and said they were filing criminal charges against her grandson and hung up. The elderly woman had panic attacks all day not knowing what was going on. They are collectors that should be arrested for harrassment. Spoke with the police and a lawyer. Was advised to tell these people not to call back and if they do, file a police report charging telecommunications harrassment. I am pursuing charges. They need to be stopped. The gentleman said his name was Robert Wolf however I doubt he was being honest.

These people called my home today looking for someone that is not even living at this residence. They were hateful and nasty to my husband when he told them that this person did not live at this address/phone number. They did not say what they wanted, but from everyone else's comments I can only imagine what they were wanting and I have a feeling that it is just a scam, also.

These people are fraudulent and pulling a huge scam. Even if it were a debt collection, their practice is completely illegal. All involved should band together and attack them by legal means. All should contact the Federal Trade Commission and report their antics.

Dummies called me and my family early this morning regarding some bad checks. I dont even write checks. If they really wanted to serve me a subpeona, they would have my address not call. Jacka**. This guy told my mom that he was an investigator. Told my mom the whole account info and said that I was up for check fraud and that I should call back because they found a loop hole in the law and that he just wanted to warn me before I messed up my clean crime background (which made my mom laugh because I have an charge on my background). He also told my mom that my bank turned me in. I called the bank and they said my account went to collections and there was no note of fraud. We contacted the state general's office. Going to record my little phone chat with this guy and we will see whats up..

I received this same message, he is trying to blame my ex saying that he wrote a bad check in my name and thats not true. Its mr. wolf that is calling me. I am guessing that this is a scam, either way I am calling the better business bureau tomorrow to be sure.

I reveived a call from a Jenna Hodge from this number. She calls and harrasses me about some kind of check cashing loan. I have no idea what he is talking about.She even sent a request to ,y employer asking about me and my salary. We looked up the address on the form and it belongs to a Mailbox etc location in upstate NY and the number on the form is from Illinois. Is there anuthing the FBI can do to put these people in jail?

This is a debt collection company.  I work in the legal department of a company.  They wanted information about an employee and they notified me that they planned on serving the employee at work.  I told him to serve him at home, because we will not let you in the door.  The caller "Robert Wolf"  failed to provide any indentifying information.

These a**holes called my mom, sister and her in laws at 5:59-6:00 a.m. Telling them I was wanted for check fraud. And when I call them back they wouldn't tell me the name of my bank or what check. So I check my accounts and there's nothing suspicious on there. What depositing my paycheck is fraud? WTF?
