I received voice mails from the same number on September 2nd and 3rd. Per caller, there were three criminal investigations against me and I should call back (214) 447 2713 in 40 minutes or an arrest warrant should be issued against me.  I and my family members are very scared from this call. Does anybody have any advice.

Bunch of fobs called my father from this number saying exact same thing that they are calling from crime investigation bureau of IRS & they.ll arrest my father for not filling out some form (some bogus form they mentioned) but he can pay a fine of $2, 400.89 to get out of this situation. They manipulated my father & he was ready to pay by credit card but they said it has to be a debit card or money gram from walmart. Luckily my dad called me to do the money gram for them, just by the sound of it they seemed like a scam to me so when I called them asking for their address they wouldn't give it to me & rudely said if u don't pay we will arrest your father. In return I said "I.ll get you arrested give me your address like a man". the guy hung up & never answered my call again.

I got the same kind of message from the guy with an east indian accent.  He repeated twice-that they are coming to arrest me.
He was trying to transfer the call to his boss.  But no one picked his call.  After a while I hanged the phone.
Then he called me again.  I didn't answer this time.

I have received a call from this  214-960-3005 and saying that he is calling from FBI and I have three pending cases against me, I need to cooperate with them or police will arrest me withing 30-45 mins. He told me that I did not pay taxes to IRS from last three years, I answered that I am exempt to pay any taxes to IRS by 51st amendment of  US constitution. He asked my why ? Then I replied that you should know better because you are a law enforcement officer, he asked me several times and threatened to arrest me; finally I replied that I am the reincarnation of George Washington. he was so irritated with me and he said that I am sending  police squad  to arrest me. I said please come to arrest me, I will be very happy to kick your a**.

Got a call from (281) 306 6049 - stating that I had a legal case pending against me, or something to that effect.

I called back from my cell to find out what the issue was, and the guy who picked up at the other end started using some really foul language before he hung up. Got about 5 calls from this number (214) 960 3005 after this. Ignored the call once I knew it was the same set of guys doing this.

I'm going to be reporting this to WA AG's office and possibly the local Sammamish police too.

Prank Call
It's a scam! My local police department looked into this - They are calling from India, bad English, scripted call (background sounds like a call center). They want you to call back and give them your social security number, birthday, and wants you to pay a fee to make this go away. My local news is going to do a story on these low life cowards. Let your Facebook friends know.

I really like Gunnar's idea. Will call and have some fun with them soon. If others plan to do the same, it may be a good idea to come across like you are really scared and would give them any info they want (i.e., bait them). Then, switch and lay it out on them.... Thanks Gunnar!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam a year ago:

yesterday I got a call/ voice mail from one  Emanuel Garcia from ' State Investigation Department' talking about keeping my identity safe which is part of a legal investigation, unless I call back and no legal action will be taken. Left his phone number 214 960 3005. Caller ID showed Grand Prairie, TX. Sounded like Mexican or Middle Eastern/ Indian accent. I am sure this is one of the same calls you all have received. I will wait for his next call and catch him live to find out who he really is and why the f**k is bothering me?

He's most likely a scurrilous Indian fraud. They're very well known for these scams. They sit, by the hundreds, in putrid call centers receiving the equivalent of less than $5 a day while defrauding people of money. Which goes into the bosses pockets. They call using "spoofed" numbers via a VOIP line. Which explains why their call-back numbers are never the same as the original calling number. Neither of which will usually be "live". They generally depend on "hooking" you during a call. They hack, buy or steal your information. Usually from on-line loan applications.
They're about as dangerous as a hang-nail, but can be very annoying. If you like a good laugh, piss one off. They can be funnier than Hell! They're immune from prosecution (Jurisdiction) but that can also work against them. Feel free to comment on his smell, his lineage & his mothers proclivities. There's not a damn thing he can do about it but provide you with tons of enlightening entertainment.
They will also try to tie up phone lines & embarrass you by calling friends, family & workplaces. A ploy that's failing to work well anymore, due to the fact that the entire world is becoming aware of the scum & their activities. Just ignore the greasy little runts. They're nothing.
Live Well.

Prank Call
I have received two calls from the same person identifying himself as Alex O'Connor (but has a heavy accent which i cannot quite place and very poor English which makes him sound quite uneducated!). His messages basically say the my name and ID are under investigation. He has left this number (214) 960-3005 as well as another which by his accent sounded like a 204 number but i think it is 214-447-7708.

I am working with my lawyer to find him and will let all know if I do.

Received a message saying the caller is a police officer, Ron Smith and said there were 3 legal cases filed under my name and said somebody else's name too. That I needed to call a number that he repeated twice and also that he was from State Investigative Agency. That if I did not return the call, that they would go ahead with legal stamps and paperwork.  I think its a scare tactic and bogus phone call.
