Have received numerous phone calls from this #. I called today and spoke with 4 CS Reps....Belinda, Chris, Braylon and Lacy. I even called back and got Belinda again.....but she suspended my call just like all the rest of the CS Reps, with the exception of Lacy, when I questioned an account that dates back to 2004 and an address of 1988 Cambridge Drive, Apt. 4A, Lexington, KY, which I did not live @ in 2004. The CS Reps told me I needed to quit asking questions even though they were the company that called me.....told me I needed to shut up and listen to them and if I did not they would suspend my calls. I continued to call a total of 5 times and finally I was connected to Lacy, she did listen to me and realized there was actually a problem when I told her I did not live @ 1988 Cambridge Drive, Apt. 4A, Lexington, KY. I then inquired as to the particulars of this "so called" deliquent account....Account # VH040551-4 and Lacy went on to tell me that I signed up over the phone Jan 10, 2004 for this magazine subscription and the Cambridge Drive address was the address I provided. Lacy said they received the request for collections March 10, 2012 and started working on this account in June 2012. I told Lacy this seemed quite odd to me that it would have taken over 8 yrs for a collection agency to get a request for collections. Lacy went on to say that it could have been the case this collection had been with another collection agency prior to them getting it. I told Lacy it really didn't make any difference to me as this was not my debt. Lacy went on to tell me that the magazine cost $62.40/month for a total cost of $936.00/yr. When I heard that.....I said...."there is no way I would have ever signed up for a magazine that would cost me $62.40/month". I also told Lacy I do not subscribe to magazines through the mail or over the phone. LOL. I told Lacy there was something very wrong here and I wanted this issue resolved. Lacy then connected me to a supervisor.......finally.....it took 5 phone calls.....but persistance paid off! I then spoke with Kirsten, Supervisor for all the CS Reps I had spoken with this a.m. and immediately told her before we actually spoke regarding this account issue that she needed to know that the above mentioned CS Reps, excluding Lacy, needed to learn some customer service skills and Belinda, Chris & Braylon were more than rude to me and that I work with the public everyday and these are not the customer service skills that I would want my employees to exhibit when speaking with customers. Kristin apologized to me and said she would speak with each one of them and that this should not have happened. I explained to Kristen there was an error as in 2004 I did not live @ Cambridge Drive, Lexington, KY and that I had lived @ my current address for 27 years.....so with that said I told Kristen this issue needed to be resolved. I told Kristen I would be reporting her company to the BBB, FTC & FCC. She then told me that she had completely taken the above account #, my name and phone # out of their system and listed it as "wrong address, wrong phone # and she said there had to be another person with the same name as mine. Kristen said I would not be hearing from their company again. I asked her why this was not done during my first phone call to Belinda and Kristen said it should have been done. I said, OK.....so it took you as a supervisor to remove my name and this account that does not belong to me out of your system.....and Kristen verified once again, no. Kristen said, Belinda and all the rest of the CS Reps should have done this from the beginning. With all this said.....BEWARE of this phone # and the company......A SCAM at its BEST!  

MY PLAN: To report this company...Interstate Recovery Services - 215-278-9796 to the BBB, FTC & FCC just so they are on the record.  All I can say:    BEWARE AND STAY CLEAR!!!!!

The magazine people are the WORST. Reader's Choice subscription service, gross. They sent magazines I'd never heard of or ordered. I resolved it with them a few years ago, but being a complete scam company they resurrect it every once in a while. It sounds like they may be doing collections and soliciting the subscriptions under the same roof now! I got several calls from 215-278-9796 and today I called it back. You can tell it's a call center environment from the hum in the background, even though the man who answered denied it was a call center when I asked directly. He wouldn't tell me what the nature of their business was and said I had to give him my phone number so he could reference the account. Um, no. You called me, I'm just returning it and if you don't have access to the information it's not my problem. It would be different if they left a message and told me to reference a case number. I asked what they do in his office and he said "a couple of things." I persisted and eventually asked "Is one of the things you do collections?" He said it was, "In addition to magazine subscriptions and stuff." I told him I wasn't comfortable with this, wished him a good day and hung up.

Calls all the time and leaves no message, have no clue who it is.....

After many, many calls that I ignored (didn't answer), I finally answered only to hear it was some magazine company threatening to put my account into collection if I didn't pay.  I had been foolishly paying this company for a couple of years for a magazine I ordered, but then started receiving numerous goofy magazines that I didn't order so I told them I wanted to cancel.  They refused to cancel and continued sending these goofy magazines.   Now they want to send it to collections!

Calls me all the time.  Called them back and someone answered "Can I help you?".  Would not say the name of the company.

Call constantly throughout the day and then hangs up when I answer. Leaves a message but nothing in the background.
