Called identified himself as Officer Micahel Brown, State Investigative Department said it was an emergency call.

Recived a call from 215 279 5847 saying he is from state investigation dept and there are 3 affidavit charges against me and to call immediately,

I also got the same type of
phone call from a female pretending to be an officer and the same numbers were given to me. There should be some legal action taken against these people. There are some hindi or urdu speaking people involved and the lady with spanish accent

Someone left a message on my home telephone, which I barely use, saying his name is Jim Parker and that my name and identity is in danger of legal action.  He didn't specificly say what exacly the legal action was but just said to call him at 215-279-5847.  I called back to give him a piece of my mind but it was a machine so I didn't bother.  This has been going on for a few months now to a number of people.  Please be carefule and no to fall for it.

Although I did not get a call from this particulr number but the numbers 4594594591, 7348478658, 215 2795847 probably have a common source based on the above posts. These numbers are targeting people across state lines.  They have used abusive language. Thier foul words cannot hide their Indian accent.  They are possibly targeting Indians based on the names listed here.  They are pretending to be federal officers.  This scam should be a federal of offense and these low lives should be accordingly prosecuted.  Please file police complaint if you get a harassing phone call from these numbers.

Too much background noise, weird accent, unclear what she wanted to say - using only key words to intimidate, which for a minute it did(!) - Federal Banking Regulation, Investigative Department of Federal Government(?) not IRS? Since the 'lawsuits' are for no tax paid in 2010/2011.

I said, thank you I will call police now.

This is fraud on many levels. My husband files for us, so impossible to get my name in the first place!!

Got a call today and said this is officer Max Wilson Asking to talk to one of us SAYING _ THEY HAVE A LEGAL AFFiDAVIT  and 3 legal charges. Also said that we have not paid TAXES. Then passes the phone to Jay Williams - he says he is a supervisor and wants to talk to Mrs. ......  !!! gave his phone number as 717 826 5958. They have both have heavy INDIA accent and calling from tel # 734 847 8658..
By the way my brother in Europe got conned by some people and convinced him that his family in USA needs money and convinced him to give credit card number and they charged in $$$$. from the account.
I am glad to see these reports and I will be reporting to my city and police officials as well as congressman's office.

PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THIS GANG IS PROBABLY WORKING (more than likely) the Telephone directories.

Got a call from 734 847 8658, a number which comes up disconnected when you call back, saying that he was from the State Investigation department and there is a legal case against us for not paying our taxes. We asked for the Agents Registration number, he hung up. Then we called the 215 279 5847 number given to us, we were told that we had back taxes. Surprising since we filed in April and had our tax refund given to us.
We called the IRS who then advised us to call the Police Department and to email a report about impersonating an IRS Agent.

They tried to make my mom go to the bank and then "wait for instructions" on how to send money for "unpaid" back taxes that were paid.  Had an Indian lady that could speak to my mom in Gujrati so targeted by last name.  Threatened her with being arrested, sent to jail, loose her house and sent out of the country.  Refused to talk to me instead when I tried to get actual real information.  Gave same fake number 215-279-5847 even though she was calling from 734-847-8658.

Got a call saying to call back 215-279-5847. Said there was an investigation and when no info was provided threatened  they were going to arrest and hung up.

I too received the call from 215-279-5847 ,the caller said she is officer crystal brown calling fron state investigation dept. telling me if I do not respond,she will do the legal proceedings against me,this is a harassment and it should be stopped.

I received the same call today from Temeperence Michigan number 734-847-8658. I usually screen my calls so I didn't pick up. The person called 6 times in a row and finally left me a msg with same 3 federal charges pending etc BS asking to call back at 215-279-5847. There was a too much background noise going on.. but he definitely didn't sound American. At least didn't have american accent so it seems like an entire team working behind this... so frustrated right now !!!!

This guy called from the 'State Department of Investigation' threatening the same thing. Something about an affidavit and complaint about an identity. Such utter horse****, but I can't help but feel threatened. How can people get away with this kind of crap? Glad I'm not the only one.

I got call from Temperance MI Phone no is 734-847-8658. said that there is three charges against my husband and told me that ask your husband to call 215-279-5847. He mentioned his name David Marshall. When I asked him what kind of charges are that. He told me I have to ask my supervisor and after few second I think the same person was talking to me as supervisor he mentioned his name Adam Scott. He told me I cannot tell you ask me what is your relationship. I told him I am his wife. He said ask your husband to call us back by end of the day today other wise we have to charge legal proceedings and we can complain in local police dept and they will come and arrest him. As he told me that I told him what non sense are you talking about. He said I am polite to you so you better polite to me otherwise i can complaint against you and you can get arrested. After that he hung up. This kind of people has nothing to do except to threaten good people.

Called from 4594594591 left a message pretending to be a law officer.said to call 2152795847 immediately or there would be an investigation.he needs to be identified and stopped.

Got a call from 459 459 4591 and he left a message saying he was Officer Max Williams from US Department of State and that there were 3 federal charges in his Legal Case file against me - if I did not call back he would immediately start legal proceedings.
