i have been recieving the calls since yesterday and have since contacted my local sherriff's department and  gave them the number and the name of the caller. no sooner than i had hung up the phone i got a call from what was supposed to be my local police department saying that they were contacted by this company and that i needed to call the company and take care of this issue.. they theatened me with all kinds of stuff and all they wanted from me was 297.00. they also advised me to go to walmart and get a money card just in that amount and they would take it from the card, then they would send me a clear notice and would owe no more money. i hope this will help others from this happening to them. by the way when they called from the local police station, the sherriff deputy talked to him and he told them that the officer that called , doesn't exsist at the pd.

They have called my 4 times today.  I called them back and told them I knew they were not really a law firm and to stop calling me.  The man that answered was not American but he clearly stated that I should go F*** myself.  Nice!  I wonder what kind of law office would approve of that??

I just got a called and they asked for my husband and I told them that if they really had a legal complaint against him, then they needed to send him a letter because there are so many scams. He told me that I'd believe him when the police showed up and arrested him. Nice try!

i got the same calls , ignore them and tell your boss you are a victem of fraud and if you google this number , you will see alot of people got the same call , if you were getting arrested , your local court would deliver a summons , just relax and dont lose sleep over it

some from this number keeps calling me claiming to be an attorney. Claims I defaulted on a payday loan from American payday cash. I have never received a payday loan, I reversed Look up there phone number It is listed as a telemarketing co.. They claim to be from the firm of Law Firm Of Pennsylvania. I tried to look up a phone number for this firm no listing . I am not sure what type of scam they are trying to pull they have not yet  
asked for any money or personnel information. I just want the calls to stop

This is the 2nd call I have received,I don't like being threatened. The message said for me or my attorney to  call,all I get is a busy signal.These guys are a joke,it sounded like the same person but it was a different number than the first time.It would be nice to shut them down!!!!!!!

Hubby was called about 2 wks ago, and the caller said they were from our state's Attorney General's office and he was going to be arrested for fraud, etc. He called me, freaking out, so I called our ATG's office and the lady there assured me it was a fraud.

We've since filed a fraud alert with all 3 credit bureaus (you can do this quickly and easily online at www.alert.equifax.com and they submit it to the other 2 credit bureaus). We watch our banking acct online daily and have alerted our bank, too. We have plans to change our bank acct, however hubby's work hours don't mesh well with our bank's hours, so I'm just being diligent.

Thing is, they called the house today, using the number that this thread is about, this time saying they were from the State of PA Attorney's office and only told me that after I pressed the issue. He fumbled and tried to change it to our state and I called him on it, told him he was full of crap, lol! He told he he guessed I'd see when my husband gets arrested and hung up on me. Pffffft!

What I want to know is what is the purpose of this scam?? Are they just doing this for kicks or are they going to eventually get around to asking for money??  Has anyone ever let it go that far?

If people are correct and many of these so-called "collection" agents are really scammers from India, you might want to ask them if they are "cheating" you.  Be sure to use the buzzword "cheating," because that word means something special in India.  You might also indicate your familiarity with the following sections of the Indian Penal Code concerning cheating:

"415. Cheating Whoever, by deceiving any person, fraudulently or dishonestly induces the person so deceived to deliver any property to any person, or to consent that any person shall retain any property, or intentionally induces the person so deceived to do or omit to do anything which he would not do or omit if he were not so deceived, and which act or omission causes or is likely to cause damage or harm to that person in body, mind, reputation or property, is said to "cheat".  Explanation- A dishonest concealment of facts is a deception within the meaning of this section."

"416. Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property Whoever cheats and thereby dishonestly induces the person deceived to deliver any property to any person, or to make, alter or destroy the whole or any part of a valuable security, or anything which is signed or sealed, and which is capable of being converted into a valuable security, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine."

Try it the next time they call if you suspect the caller is from India.  Let us know what happens.

I had the same experience. Applied for a cash advance loan. Two numbers 215-297-3080 and 916-432-3761.  Yes, they have the last 4 of my social security. I do not know if they have the first three and middle two, I assume they do. Had to change my checking account and ad a monthly monitoring service. Also here  is what I did...called the FTC and made a complaint. The phone number is  877-438-4338.  The FTC will store the complaints and give you a reference number. The reason I called is not only could they not speak clear, were unprofessional and etc., they told me They would take my SSDI off of me...NICE! so make the complaint so in the event they are ever apprehended, although I also searched for other info which states they are hackers first from another country, they also are scammers in the end. Hope FBI or FTC or a really rich person with resources hunts them down, makes a martyr out of them for capitalism/...be-head the little Asian pieces of snot! Show on YOUTUBE. Thanks

so i keep getting this guy thats saying the same things to me as you guys..... hahaha i applied for a loan a few weeks ago and i hate to think thats how they got my number :( anyway i pulled up this website and started reading off all the things people posted about this number to him. that shut him up :)

I just received a call from them yesterday!  Had me freaked, cause I have a little screwed up credit.  Thankfully I googled this number and seen all the postings.  If any of you see this please post what the result of ignoring them was.

These rangatangs called my work and told me I had a law suit in PA and to be ready to go to jail. I told them not call me ever again. I had messed up and applied for a pay day loan about 2 weeks ago and believe that is where they got my info.

just got a call saying that they were an attorney in an electronic voice with a very harsh accent really I cant believe people now a days Im just gonna ignore and they can stand in line with the rest of the bill collectors

I have been getting call after call regarding a urgent matter.  I have asked that they stop calling me and my job leaving threathning messages.  I do not owe them and if I did I do not have money to pay them.  Right now I am stressed out because after leaving work yesterday, my boss called me at home to say i got this message where the man Mr. L. Smith stated this was a urgent matter and that I would be arrested.  Please if there is anything you can do please have them to stop calling me

This company keeps calling. One time they are the Federal Government the next time they are a Lawyer. They have even started calling my work. They will not give a real name of a company just that you are going to jail.

Ok so this place is a fraud..... they just threatened me with a lawsuit saying they were the lawfirm of Pennsylvania (wtf  I didn't know  that Pennsylvania had its own law firm lol) and that they were suing me for a cash advance from a place that ive never heard of... when I challenged the lady with the firms name she got any attitude and asked me if I understood English.... Really?! So don't believe them and ask them as many questions that you can think of....
