As a ROT, Political, Some Survey's and Charities are exempt. However, if they keep calling to the point of harassment after being told DNC, they too can get into trouble. You can report them to the FTC.

Sick and tired of unwanted calls - especially from scammers. Why doesn't the Government or phone companies STOP these people?

This number calls everyday and sometimes twice a day. The caller I'D shows "I" . They never leave a message.

State Police PBA calls EVERY DAY and won't leave message. We have already told them no to donations, hung up and no longer answer. They WILL NOT stop calling. I stopped donating to this charity when they harassed me into giving a donation, calling repeatedly to ask where it was. Then I lost my job, told the guys I cannot afford it and they call every year looking for money. I will never again donate to them, only locally. The phone calls are inconvenient - calling early morning, late night and weekends - very frustrating when you have young kids to get to sleep. I explained I wanted off their list but they continue to call.
The caller ID reads "0" followed by the 215 numbers.

One of the um-teen charities that calls here daily. Either the police chief's, fireman's, homeless veterans. One of them. Same guy calls every time. He asks for the man or lady of the house. Unfortunately, they call from many different numbers so if you block them from one, they will call from another. The caller ID read "0", followed by the 215 number.
