They've called my office six times in the past 24 hours.  The first time they got through and gave some spiel about updating an internet listing.  Now, they're marked as spam so they go straight to voicemail and leave no message.

same as above.  Some spiel about updating our info.  Seemed really perplexed that we would not say "yes" but just repeated their information, finally just laughed and told them no info has changed.   SCammers.

CID = PENNSYLVANIA. I refuse to answer calls from stealthed or blocked caller ID. But from reading other reports, I don't think this is a number that I need to answer.

How can we stop them?.....I won't them arrested....!

It's 11:30am and I've already two calls from this number today. They call almost daily and NEVER leave a message.

DO NOT ANSWER "YES" to any question.  They stated my phone number. When they asked if this was my phone number - I asked them "Did I answer it?' They stated my address like they never heard of such a place. Tell them the mailman knows where we're at. When asking for my zip code, I asked "What do you have?" They hung up.  They need to get you to say YES - Don't !   IF you can get them to hang up with dumb answers or comments, they generally take you off their list.

Received calls from this #,. Beware: this is one of those "we just want to verify your business information" scams. If you answer their questions they secretly tape your response and then you will be billed for an internet listing on a crappy web site. I suggest you do what I did and tell them in no uncertain terms you have no biz relationship with them and demand to be put on their do not call list. At the very least they have nothing on tape that can be used to swindle you.

Its a scam trying to get you to say yes so they can scam you.
There from pennsylvania and New Jersey etc.   Total scam

I'm am tired people calling and just leaving messages on my answering machine just saying hello and when you answer they don't say anything!

Solution: dial *57 (or the code you dial for call trace) do this twice in a month, or more and report as an harassment call. Authorities MUST look into this. This worked for me, and I am thinking of going to court so I can sue them for money.  THERE IS SOME MAKE MONEY WORK AT HOME FOR YEAH !   LOL

"Green Listing Services" "merely confirming information" they already have. We are convinced it is a scam.

Hi all--I got this call 2 times today from   215-475-5480/ No answer no caller ID info but I seem to remember this had something to do with phone listings in yellow pages.  I bet it is a way for the telephone company to try to catch people with business . So they can charge more. Just my opinion..

LONG PAUSE, THEN BACKGROUND NOISE LIKE IT'S A TELMARKETER, SO I JUST HANG UP.

I just fell for this and got most of the way through the recorded verification - this AFTER I confirmed that there were no charges for anything - and then the recorded voice said I would be charged $49 something starting today.  I said NO, I am not going along with this and then the foreign lady "helping" me said YES very clearly and hung up.   So I guess I'm going to have some charge on my phone bill that I'm going to have to spend time removing.  Soooo irritating!  They flat-out lied to me several times and said they are just confirming our 411 listing and just needed voice verification that the business was still in existence.

Went further and reported it to the national do not call gov agency. Anyone know of any other agencies or departments I may be able to contact?

OK  I just reported them to the FTC, THE BBB, AT&T AND I'm currently going to contact the State Attorney General

Called and girlfriend answered phone said yes she was an employee, yes on this business info and stated her name. They then switched her to a supervisor who asked her to verify information and that they were going to record conversation and she hung up. I searched the number on line and found this forum. I have called our telephone company and reported the incident and will also contact the FCC and anyone else I can think to report this scam to.

They called this morning but did not leave a message. I will block this number.

When I first answered they told me they wanted to update information and then stay on the line to speak with quality control (at which point I hung up).  I thought it was really strange that they would let a part-time worker update this information.  After I hung up they called back several times, one time right after the other.

the unknown caller from 215-475-5480 has called twice today 4-6-11.
First time asking if I was a business, asked them what number they called, but left out one of my numbers... asked again if I was a business.  the second time they called, I just told them to take me off there list... which she said"fine" and Hung Up... who are these people... How can I find them?  Who can arrest them?

This number has been calling the place where i work for days. I know it's a marketing call, but I really wanted them to stop calling so I proceeded with caution.

They ask me to verify the listing with an "agent" and then a "manager" and then they try to scam you with the recording.

I told them I was a receptionist, and then they said that is filed under their category "assistant to owner so just say that." I told them I was not comfortable saying that. They insured me it would be "fine". I tried saying "Receptionist, which is under category assistant to owner" and they had me re-do it.

I hung up, and they called back really mad. "Why did you hang up?" the man asked. They asked if they could continue, and I sighed and agreed.

After one more question, the manager got on the line and talked over the listing. He said that this is the second to last question and we were just verifying my phone number again. To say yes after the tone. However, it was clear that the recording was saying more than that. The last thing I heard was my phone number and "Please say yes or no". Now, this is the first time it ever gave me "Yes or No". It had just said "To verify, say yes". So, at the tone, instead I said clearly "I'd like to hear the question again".

And, to no surprise: The question was to confirm I was 18 or older, and could make financial decisions for the business/incur charges, AND to verify my phone number. The business hung up on me during the phone number part, because it was clear I was not going to answer yes.

Have rcvd this number several times since 3/30/2011.  I let it go to VM and they never leave a msg.  Got curious and googled the number for a reverse address.  Supposed to be somewhere in Philedelphia, PA, but I doubt it.  Am going to have ATT block it.

They call all hours of day (not after 9 p.m. yet!)  I do not answer as I don't have business or know anyone in Pennsylvania ( which is on the called ID)   Next time I am going to blow my silver whistle into the telephone--that  should stop them !!

This company keeps calling Me to "update" my infromation on the internet. After I up date the infromation they switch me to a "supervisor" to verify the updat infromation. When I listen to them, they want to record the changes, and I quary them on why the want me to "confirm with a yes' I get hung up on. When they call me back the next day and then the three days after, i request to speak with a supervisor. The after much talk, "transfer me" I am hung up on. When I try to cal back tyhe number I get a message unable to complete call. This apears to be a scam.

Got several calls from this number over the last several days. Finally answered it today - said 'hello' about 20 times and got no response. When I called the number back I got the message that the number is not in service. Won't answer it again. Will report the number to the FCC.

2nd time they called today.  Asked if it was the name of the company who had our current phone number about 2 1/2 years ago, I said no, they hung up.  Can barely understand them due to poor line quality.

They call and introduce themselves as a free search service for the Internet and want you to validate basic information about your business.  First one, then another "supervisor" asks basic questions about address, phone #, etc.  They keep saying to answer this once and prevent further calls until next year.  Keep emphasizing that there is no cost for their basic search listing but if I want "advance" listing it will cost $49.95. I grudgingly gave answers, probably stupid to do so, and then became suspicious and hung up.  Sounds as if they are recording your answers.  I'm sure its some kind of scam and could kick myself for being at all gullible.
