Received a call from "Eric" today, claims he was calling about a reposed vehicle... Confused I continued the conversation, he said he had a debt on his desk, but thought I might have included in my Chapter 7 in 2010.. which I had, but I just let him ramble on and on.  To make a long story short he had my attorneys information and my Chapter 7 information... and I gave him nothing personal about me, just told him to contact my attorney.  Waiting to see if they call back, I have notified my attorney

These a holes called me about a debt that. over 5 years old. I was told they was a law office. And if I did not send then $2200.00 in the next 72 hours. They would have a warrant issued for my arrest, and have my a** put in jail. I told then to f*** off. And hung up on then.

This place IS NOT A LAW FIRM. THEY ALL ARE COLLECTORS. Robert Klein is an attorney. Larry and Mary Weil are the owners. I believe she is on the paperwork, he works there because he has screwd so many people and businesses over in the past that he can't have his name on anything. File complaints like so many others had

They buy old 'bad' debt that has indeed passed the statute of limitations for that state. There is a loophole in the law that says "Once you acknowledge the debt, verbally or in writing, the clock starts over at zero on the legal collection period, or in other words the S.O.L.", so its vitally important that you NEVER answer their calls or acknowledge anything. This is why they want to pin you down on the phone, so they can record the call & have legal proof allowing them to collect again. They do buy these old files for pennies so if they collect $ 500 or $1000 years later it is immensely profitable for them. If your debt is old, especially past the SOL in your state ( avg range 3 - 7 yrs ) NEVER, NEVER ANSWER THESE CALLS. You know who you owe money to.

This guy who said his name was Brian Knight called my home looking for my sister-in-law who has the same name as me and claimed he had "good news for her". I am sure it was a collection call. I thought it was illegal to lie, but he said he was an attorney so that probably explains it.

I got a call about a US Bank credit card 1200.00 debt. I never had this credit card. These guys are almost convincing except that they wont give me their professional license number. Robert Kline is the supposed boss and he just happens to be out to lunch. Ive dealt with them for about two weeks now and they even sent a fake letter with some meaningless numbers on it, as if I am going to read it and then say oh yeah, here ya go. Not! They are the most unprofessional office I can think of. Rude, dumb, and rube and dumb. "Robert Kline" the "boss" personal number is 215-526-2712. Watch out for these people, they can almost pull it off if they weren't so stupid. The letter head has this address on it. Oxford Law, LLC 311 Veterans Highway Levittown, Pa 19056 215-526-2600.

Called myself and my mother to try to get hold of my ex husband who I have been divorced from for many years. This uncalled for how do they get these phone numbers because I have changed my last name and phone number since divorce. They were rude and asked to many questions and I finally just hung up.

very angry at me for this call, and asked why did I give his number to these people, and I told him that I did
not give his number to these people, and I have to look his number up when I call it.

I DO NOT owe anyone anything.....Have been receiving automated calls on my answering machine for months. Today,3-3-14 to my knowledge, was the first time from Oxford Law LLC (215) 526-2600. Someone named David Hunter saying I need to return the call (215)526-2720 along with a reference #!?!? The automated calls are referencing a debt (which I do not have) so I am assuming after looking up this company that they are probably affiliated in some way. I want the calls to STOP!!

These calls are placed by everyday people, they are hired to call from home jobs to do collection. They are set up with a computer program owned by the law office. These are old debts most from more then 10 or more years old. And some that were paid off but never reported. As being such. The person making the calls makes a % of what ever the person agrees to pay.  What is owed or not owed is not verified. So they may call on a loan or card someone had 10 or more years ago and paid off.
The person doesn't care if you owe it or not. All they see on their screen is the last known phone number of the account and that's what they call. A lot of the accounts they are calling on were closed out by whatever company. They should not be calling on them, if you answer that it's your account it reopens the account if you had owed on it and was written up as a write off and removed off your credit history.

A guy left a message and said he had some very good news for me. Do they think people are stupid enough to fall for this trick. It sounds like they do not have legitimate debts and just try anything to get to people and scare them into paying them.

I received calls from Oxford Law, LLC over the past week. Matthew Bullock or Don Wood. I'm guessing that they make up names so nobody can find them. They were looking for an acquaintance. They called all of my phones twice and then called one of my cell phones and the work phone of the acquaintance. By law, they can only call a person once but get away with calling more than once by asking for different people at your home address. By law you can do a couple of things. Immediately tell them to stop calling you or send them a letter. I would send it with delivery confirmation or request a signature. They use intimidation to get you to pay on old debts or try to get you to pay the debts of others. They may not give you particulars of the debt collection (remember they can only ask you: If you know the person, what their address is, what their work address is and a phone number to get a hold of them). If you owe the debt, check the Statue of Limitation from the state in which your reside. (each state varies but most of them are 5 or 6 years) after that you cannot be sued i.e. taken to court over the debt. This doesn't mean that you don't owe the debt, it is uncollectible! Do no admit to owing the debt and do not make a payment because that can reset the date and you will once again be legally obligated to pay it. Know that businesses have already written this off on their taxes as bad debt. We all go through hard times, that does not make you a bad person! Also, check with your state to see if Oxford Law, LLC is licensed in your state as a collection agency. I've checked in CT and do not find them as being licensed. I have put in a complaint with the Connecticut Department of Banking and with the Better Business Bureau out of Washington DC (handles that part of Pennslyvania). Know you rights and take the time to submit a complaint when your rights are violated. There are also 2 court cases against Oxford Law, LLC. Search the web for them. I think it's a shame that this business is allowed to intimidate people by embarrassment and harassment, while representing them selves to be the "Law".

Tina Woods also called under the Oxford Law LLC name and informed me that they were performing an investigation into the whereabouts of "insert name here" and their search determined that I was related to so and so.  When I identified that I was a 3rd party she got more aggressive and said that she was going to call more relatives, neighbors and anyone else that comes up in their search to locate the person.  Typically tactics from unethical debt collectors that Attorney John Fugate has helped us with in the past.  They intimidate the folks that are not aware of the the law and cause disruption to any extent in order to most likely track down a debt that most likely isn't valid to begin with.  I doubt they have a license to collect in my state to begin with.

They called me today and I answered they read my current and previous address off to me and then the last 4 of my social asking if it was correct after I told them the debt was not mine. Then he read off my entire social security number. Then when I told him I was working and didn't have time for him he hung up. So in under three minutes he read off my full name, current and previous address and my full social. I'm a little concerned with what they are doing with my info.

I wouldnt answer the phone, as I didnt recognize the number, only the area code.  they left no message, so I didnt  calling back. but if what I'm reading is true, that its a collection agency, then the only possible way they could have my number is because of the ex husband....who's been a ex for 6 yrs. and I've been out of PA for 12 yrs. so now I'm wondering if I should call back, just to find out what he used my name for.
