calle and when answered the phone there was just a weird beeping noise.

busted! its a police state trooper fund raiser for pennsylvania. asking for pledges. this one was easy . took me no time at all. just add the 1 before the number like your dialing out. 1 215 551 5461. STATE TROOPERS THATS WHO

A "call center" sound could be heard for about 1 second, and then the line disconnected.

I called back.. it was called "Statewide Appeal" I agree with the previous poster, it's the State Police fund raiser people.

Oh man, I just got a call, the machine picked up and there were lots of sounds in the background-like lots of poeple-maye they wer on speaker phone.
I donated a couple times to them and the same thing for Firefighters.

After awhile they would call at odd times and way too often. Thier rudeness led me to telling them to no longer call. Now I have told them on at least 17 previous occasions to remove me from any call lists they have and to never call me again. They are continuing to ignore my requests. I also ensured that all my #s are on the Nat Do Not Call Registry.

I am not playing games any more. they are getting reported to the authorities and Blocked.

I just got a call.  Didn't answer.
To people who read this:  remember State Police, Local police, Firefighters, etc...  DO NOT SOLICIT for ANY KIND OF FUNDS via phone calls.  If you have donated in the past to people like this you most likely were scammed.

Caller registry listed number at 12/31/08@2:17pm.  We were not at home at that time, no message left on recorder.

this irritates me getting this call.  please verify the number and have them either tell people who they are or not call anyone.

Received call on 2/3 @ 8:26pm - No answer
Called the # back: voicemail said this:

"Thank you for calling statewide appeal. we are unavailable to take your call at this time. the original call that was made to you was of no urgency and we will try you back at a better time. if you would like a return phone call please leave your name and phone # and a representative will get back with you as soon as possible."

Received a call 2/02/09 @ 1:58 from 1-215-541-5461. They hung up when I answered. I called back because I have an 86 yr. old parent that lives in the 215 area code and I thought there may be an emergency with them. It rang 12 times before a recording came on and said "If you recieved a call from us it isn't an emergancy, this is Statewide Appeals, leave your name and number and we will return your call". I left a message for them that I was on the National do not call list and to not call here anymore, I don't take telemarketers calls. I'm reporting them. I'm sick of this. That was the second call.

it is a scammer calling. If they solicit for the sate police it is a scam. Report them.

Phone # 215 541 5461 received on Sunday 1/04/09  at 5:10 pm  No one on the line....Not funny to race to phone and no one there and we are also on the Do Not Call list but we still we receive annoying phone calls.

Called while we were out at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2009.  Left no voice message.  Reverse search lists this as an unpublished land line with Verizon in Pennsburg, PA - north of Philadelphia in Montgomery County.

Number listed on our incoming call registry while we were away.  No message left on answering machine. We are on all do not call registries.
