This number keeps calling me! Every day. I don't owe anyone money and Im not a scumbag. AHHH

Someone once told me the best way to stop that, is set up numbers you don't want in your contact list as Spam Caller, then have any calls coming from "Spam Caller" directed right to voicemail, they don't leave messages so you will infact never know that they called. It is am amazing idea!

I get a phone call almost everyday and they hang up if I answer. I call back and receive a message that it is disconnected number. I want them to stop calling me.

Same stuff as everyone else is getting. Some damn power company BS! I?m tired of it thoroughly!    I also use ?Strait Talk?...

THIS CALLER KEEPS CALLING AND I RECIEVE NO ANSWER, WHO IS IT AND HOW CAN I GET THEM TO STOP?

I just got a call from this number. They didn't say anything and I eventually heard a couple of beeps and then they hung up.

I've been getting these calls for the past few weeks, at least once a day. I always miss the call, but when I call back, it says the number is disconnected. At first I thought it was something serious, but it can't be if there's no way to reach them, right? Can't even figure out who it is. I live hours from Philly, so it can't be a bill collector.

Please stop calling my number.  Next time you call and I answer, I will not be pleasant so be prepared

I've been getting these calls for weeks now.
Not everyday, and not necessarily the same number, but most frequently from this number.
I'm fed up. I just cussed some women out.
So, in my investigative inquiry, i googled the number and found this site.
Here's what I know:
Whoever they are want to pawn some form of energy services to us.
Calling them back re-directs your number to an out of service message.
Obviously since the number just called, it clearly isn't out of service, but rather redirected.  
So far being polite and patient and disinterested hasn't worked.
Neither has being angry and cussing them out as I'm sure others have tried.
Here's what I don't know:
What do we all have in common for such people to want to contact?
I have a straight talk cell phone.
I live in maryland in the united states.
How does that relate to them calling you?
I won't be cussing anyone out that calls me from that number anymore, I'll be interrogating them.
Any answers I get, this website will hear about.
I don't appreciate being disturbed in my workplace.
It's disrespectful, and I'm going to get to the bottom of it, and have it stopped.
I can't do it without more information, and I need your help to get it. Please help me.

Same deal.  They've been calling me for a couple of weeks.  I receive about 2 calls a day.  When I answer they hang up, and when I call the number it's out of service.

i have been getting the same calls they wont stop. i even answered it one day and there was no one on the other end of the phone.

Happening to me as well, they call me 2 times a day. Called back and said number is out of service. Just picked up today..and nothing, they hang up. What the hey?

How does someone (Other than our government) get away with having a number that when called tells you it's not in service....A......Holes......

same things happening to me for like 2 weeks! but uh can someone fix this? i dont want suggestions i want answers.

I tried calling back and it says that the number is no longer in service.  i get a call at least once a day from this number.  i answer, but get nothing and then it beeps and ends the call.

They called me several times last week and the one time I called them back it was out of service or something. Just a little bit ago they called and I picked up. They are an energy supplier BPT or something like that, I couldn't make out what she was saying. But she had my account info from met-ed and everything. She was rude and kept pushing me to switch my supplier. When she transferred me over to another woman she listened to me when I said I needed to research more so she is supposed to call me back in a week, but I can't seem to find any information on BPT... I must have really misunderstood.

I recieved 3 calls from this number one I missed and they left no message and two I actually picked up and nobody answers. I wish I could block this number it is not only a nuisance but, I have to wonder what is behind this.

Got the call on my Cell Phone yesterday (23 Mar 2012) 5 times when I called the number back it said that the number was not in service. Got the call twice the next day and I Immediately called it back and got the automated message "You have reached TMZ we sell various energy and telecommunications products. To be added to our do not call list press 1 or to hear more about our procucts press 2". I pressed 1, hopefully I wont get any more calls. Does anyone know who this company is or if this is a scam?

Called it back one second after they called and it says the number is not in service?!?!

I still have not figured out if these people are scammers or telemarketers?

Here are some options that I (have done/will do/may not do) that will (help/won?t help)

1) Call Met-Ed if you?re a customer to have them stop giving out your personal info.
2) ATT has an option to block numbers for $4.99 (will help but I will not do this for that amount)
   b. They also said I could have my number changed for free, but not going to do that either.
3) Register on government do not call list donotcall.gov (I read this does not help but try it)
4) After 31 days, file complaint on that web site.
5) Call the Philadelphia police department to file a complaint (I will not consider this option, yet)
6) Find a legitimate address for these people and post it here. I would if I could find one.

If anyone else has other reasonable suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I only called because if it was from Met-Ed and I am one of their customers... Well I guess I am not that uncomfortable calling them back.

Now after saying that? They did call me again. I did not answer. I called the number back. Got a message saying that the number is out of service? Interesting?

So I have to agree with PT. It is pointless in trying to call them. I would be very interested in seeing an intelligent response to Maryann?s question. What actions should we take?

What can be done to have this company stop calling my cell phone every day.  They call and hang up.

Continous repeat phone calls from 215-554-6234...can not seem to stop them.

Keep getting these calls to and I am registered on the FTC do not call list.

When you call scammers and/or spammers back to "remove your number", you are in fact CONFIRMING your number. Now you can expect even more junk phone calls.

DO NOT CALL SCAMMERS BACK. They probably called you illegally in the first place, why do you think they would stop just because you asked them to?
