All day long if I want to switch company's ill look up the info my self !! This is crazy don't except anything from a land line 1888 numbers are safer but can be scams as well . My number was sold to this company/ person calling watch out people lol

Got a call this morning from a man identifying himself as a representative for GE. He said that GE made my home alarm system and that he could offer me a discount on my monitoring maintenance charges. He mentioned the name of the current company I use and that he could offer me the service for less. After a couple minutes of my asking how he got my number and that my alarm company has NEVER called me in 18 years, I suspected a scammer at work. I asked him politely to put this number on the "DO NOT CALL" list. I called my alarm monitoring company to tell them of the call and they say they don't sell my information and that they would trace the call. I asked them to let me know what they find. During that call the account rep said she'd like to offer me a discount on their service since we've been "long time customers". I said SURE! So there's a silver lining to this cloud!

I got slammed by an alternative energy supplier, reported them to PUC, and got them in trouble.  Ever since then, I've been besieged by this number as well as many other alternative energy numbers.  And I already have an alternative supplier!  These scammers are in league, and actually use harrassment as a form of vengeance.  And PUC tells me what they are doing is legal!  Only slamming is illegal.  Well at least I got one of 'em in hot water...

215-554-6988 Telemarketing scam.  Caller ID comes up "Power Bill".

No one wants your service, Carl.  If we did, we could look it up ourselves.  What this company is doing is harassing people by phone.  The only poster on here lacking manners is you.

PECO SCAM CALL. They usually call you and sometimes their voice recognition recording will say that you can now qualify for a peco discount  which is a total scam. If you do not answer the call they will not leave a voice mail, but they will call you again from a different number which happens to be a WA phone number  (253) 753-9041  sometimes not even their stupid peco recording works at all.... their recording sounds a bit like the movie phone voice recording. If you do not pick up that call they will continue the same repetitive process of calling you everyday on these two different numbers atleast 4 times a day during work hours. They are really something.... DO NOT TRY TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THESE IDIOTS.

They call our home and cell phones several times every day. My husband just got a call from them on his cell. He pressed 5 to talk to a live person & requested that they remove our numbers from their list. 20 minutes later, they called again on our home phone. He again requested to be removed from the list & was hung up on! I hate this company & wish there was something we could do to stop them.

I couldn't help notice the comment from Clark and the reaction to it.  Here is the problem - maybe PECO is expensive and these other companies can save people a lot of money, but, you will never get any business by not stating your business when you have the opportunity to do so.  These numbers call constantly without any let-up; and, they almost always never leave a message.  Most people would conclude that it Has to be a scam because, afterall, what is there to hide?  People only avoid stating their business when they know it is something that is not attractive to the person on the other end, like a bill collector or a person that is serving papers.  If the deal is so great, you state the fact by announcing the company, your name and title and a number that the person can call back.  Then, it is their loss if they choose not to take advantage of a deal that, supposedly, will obviously save them money.  Also, when it comes to these numbers and the companies that employee these tactics, the person is paid incentives fro sign-ups - they only care about numbers; not Phone Numbers.  This is Not the way to conduct an industry.  And, for those of you that would trouble yourself to record a message that you do not welcome solicitors, you are wasting your time and energy.  The calls are initiated robotically - the telemarketer is in a queue.  When a connection is made they try to open a dialogue.  No one is listening to your message.  There is no way around this unless you get a call blocker with a few hundred entries or you petition Congress with a Million signatures to actually make the Do Not Call Registry work.

These Scumbags call constantly and DON "T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE CALLING.....I already SWITCHED to an Alternative Electric Company out of Lancaster in May of this year and yet the SCUMBAGS refuse to STOP CALLING ME USUALLY ATLEAST 3 Times a day!!!! I report EVERY CALL TO THE DO NOT CALL WEBSITE AND THE PA Attorney General....They need to put this bunch OUT of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This caller will not leave me alone. They call me several times a day! I do not want these calls. When I try to call back - the line is ALWAYS busy.

Have gotten 4 calls from these crazy people today!  Very annoying, they are scumbags as are all telemarketers.

This number constantly calls my number several times a day. I have asked them to stop only to get hung up on.

peter, have nothing to do with any electric co or marketers. I'm providing a public service to consumers who are too lazy to investigate and save a few bucks. You are just a typical wackoo poster and clean up your mouth while you're at it. Try Lifeboy. Believe what you want, peter. Of course, these are robo calls from off shore locations, who are difficult to impossible to track down. Your government will do nothing about it.

Did not answer call, turned off the answer machine, let phone ring 10x, sounded like a telemarketer that has been calling for weeks under different numbers. After looking up number on internet I found that indeed it was a spoofed caller talking about how to lower your electric bill.

FU Clark, as you are obviously one of the scanner telematketers.  I get 2-5 calls per .  day from these scumbags.  Not a legit company.  Legit businesses do not call from spoofed numbers.  Keep a police whistle by the phone just for them.

if you have peco, you better switch to a provider like champion out of texas, 7.5 cents (12 mos- fix plan)versus 10.1 peco begins 10/1. that's we these calls are about, getting you to switch to some other electric provider. Go look up on the PECO website and do a comparison under Electric Choice.

I consistently get calls from this number and when I answer, they hang up.  It is very distracting in this extremely busy center city medical office.  Needless to mention that this type of distraction is very taxing.
