Received text at 9:33 pm on 9/10/11 saying " You have a new Credit Union message alert. Call now (toll free) 1-215-558-5915 to hear it" When I called, it said my account was temporarily suspended. And it asks for 16 digit card number.  I almost though it was legitimate because I do have a credit union account, from 3836.

Did they get into the cell phone numbers or crack into the SEPTA/PA alert system

I have tmobile--got the same msg; I gave them a fake credit card number and it said my card was activated. The card doesn't exist. I also don't have a credit union account. It is a scam. Ignore future transmissions from this number or any msg that sounds remotely like that original one.

I received a text message from this number as well as my husband.  We both have t-mobile. I did call the number but as soon as it asked for my credit card number, I did a google search for the number.  Sometimes the internet is a very nice thing to have, as I found this result.

I received this message before 7 am on sunday (my only day to sleep in)  my phone # is from southeast pa.  I called t-mobile who could only tell me to block the # (duh).  I requested a call back from their management, as the problem seems to be theirs.  Hopefully will hear back...if they value my $.

T-mobile here too, and I got the same message as everyone else.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the recent SMS internet exploit found for t-mobile.  Sender is labeled @domain which is odd.  Obviously a scam of some sort.  Don't call back.  Report to T-mobile.

So are these scamsters targeting t-mobile customers?  I got the message to day, Sat. Sept 10 at 840pm.  I'm in the Pittsburgh area, but that 215 is a Philadelphia area code.

I received a text message from 12155585915@webservice.com and it read the following message -
"You have a new Credit Union Message alert Call now (toll free) 1-215-558-5915 to hear it."  To just check the number, I called it and the automated voice message says that the whole service is automated with no customer service agent would be available.  It tells you to enter your card number to activate it.  Certainly this is a Scamster trying to get hold of credit card numbers.

As far as I know the Banking System around the globe, I know that you have an option to get the Customer Service Executive online and on the call they certainly help you with the steps including prompting you when to do what.  they never tell you to activate the card thru the system.
