Focus Pointe Global - survey group

This was a call from a Focus Pointe Global, a marketing company I had recently completed a survey with. I met their criteria to participate in a focus group and earn $200. Although she mispronounced my name, this is a completely legitimate call and company. http://www.focuspointeglobal.com/

I received this call on my landline and cell. There was no voicemail left. I don't know anyone from that area code. I assumed it was scammers or telemarketers, and didn't answer it.

Its been 2 months, yet they never seem to pay for anything online.  Have you ever received anything?  I do not want to waste anymore time if they are fake.

No they are NOT a scam.  I have done focus groups before.  They never sell your info to anyone.  Let me tell you that it is legit just like the other people say.  I would not do anything like that if it wasn't.  All of you people complaining forgot that you gave them your information at some point.  So if they hang up, maybe it was an accident or you didn't get to the call in time.  I have been doing focus groups for years.  They don't give your info to anyone nor do they get it from somewhere else..  If you don't want to make easy money from these people, then politely tell them to remove your contact info from there database.  They are not selling anything to you.  Big companies, like Kraft, etc etc want consumers to test their products before they put them onto the market and they pay you cash or check.  It is fun.  Try it.  I live in Chicago area and there are tons of these places you can sign up for.  One time my husband made $250 cash for telling them about what kinds of soft drinks.  Only took less than 2 hours.  You either go to their office with other people in a small group or sometimes they come to your house to try a product out for a week or so and they ask you how you liked it.  That's it.  NO SCAM HERE PEOPLE!!

I would say this is a cold call because they called my unlisted FAX land line.
Called 09/19/13 at 11:21.  They are now Blacklisted.

This device BLOCKS 1500 numbers.   So much better than my Panasonic telephone which only blocked unsatisfactory 30 numbers.
If they try to call again, my phone will not even ring.  YIPPEE.

Yep, my husband has driven cars for consumer surveys. Usually get 100 to 150 for his time. Not a bad thing!

Pick up this call!!!  It's from Focus Point Global, they do research surveys, in person interviews and focus groups, and pay no less than $75 bucks.  I did one for $300 last year and have been doing these for years now.  Good stuff!!

I've got this call at 7pm at night asking can i come do a survey within the next hour at a location.. they were doing a survey about tv's and said she will pay me up to $100. I respectfully declined and hope they don't continue to call me

Nope, they are not "sketchy".  They got your number because at some point you have had to have given it to them.   They are legitimate. I have no affiliation with them, but I have made some good tax free money by participating in their surveys.

This telephone is for Focus Pointe market research in Philadelphia.  It is a legitimate firm and they pay for participation in online surveys and focus groups.

Focus Pointe Global. I use to work there. Great company. At the time they had a lot of attractive females working there.

This got a phone call from then!!! Totally scam!!!!

I dont know if they are legitimate or not. I am still waiting for payment for a study I did months ago. If they do not live up to their promises I will contact the BBB.

Focus Group Global is a legit company that hires people to help with advertising studies on all sorts of products and services.  They usually ask you a few questions over the phone to see if you fit the profile a specific company has asked to survey.  Once you have been chosen they will tell you where the focus group will meet and you will be paid immediately after session is complete. The usually pay about $100/per hour and most groups are 45 mins to 2 hrs.  I have dealt with this company at least 20 times and have always been paid with no problems before or after the appointment. You do have to sign up to get calls offering you work but you can usually complete the preliminary screening process in less than 5 minutes.  There are companys similar to this that give prizes/gifts and lottery type chances at a large cash prize. In my oppinion those are a waste of time as I have neve received any compensation from them.  Just do a little research and you can find the ones that actually pay around 100 per hr and stick to those instead of the chance at winning much more.

called me twice while i was sleeping.  didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up or call back.

I missed the call and didn't call back. I figured if it was important, they would have left me a voice mail.

I picked up the same time my answering machine did and a very slow speaking female asked for me by name; so they knew my name. It sounded like a typical sales/survey/etc call so I just hung up.

they actually left a message on my voice mail. it said they were from global focus groups and were inviting me to do a focusgroup in my local area that pays 100 dollars.

this is global focus group usually you have to join there website and do surveys to get a call from them. i am a member and i get these calls all the time

they are market rtesearchers & or focus groups
the women are ghetto that call & have no phone skills
but the company itself is fine & I have never had a problem
with the focus groups themselves
