I also have been recieving threatening phone calls from these people. They will not leave me alone and I know it is a scam!! I am not sure how to get these crooks to quit calling me but if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it! They call my work and I have threatened to call the police!

Block the number from calling your cell phone (if that is the number they are calling)

These people keep calling and asking for "Kumar."   The first person calls and says he is going to transfer the call to a supervisor, and then, another person comes on the line.  They barely speak English, and yet, the person who calls claims to be William O'Malley.  I asked him to spell the name and he spelled it wrong.  They are using software on their computers (and an Internet-phone service) to give the impression they are calling from the United States. This is a con, and is one of many coming from India.  Don't give them any information, and when they call, just hang up.   Eventually, they'll stop calling.

I get the same calls from 2 different places... call the FCC and the FTC the FBI can give you all the information you need to report these people.

They also call my work. They are very adamant about them taking a message. I just have them tell these guys they have been reported to the FBI and hang up or just say you don't work there anymore.

I can't understand what they are saying half the time, the first time I got one of these calls I actually believed it and broke down crying, but I told them that it was harassment and that there are laws against that and that maybe he needs to do some research before calling me again. I also told him he'd be hearing from my lawyer.

I am receiving calls from this number threatening to issue a warrant and have me arrested if I did not pay back a payday loan which I have never taken out. The calls are from two gentlemen with a strong Indian accent that call themselves John Smith and Roger Smith form Morgan and Associates Law firm. Ther scarey part is, they have the last 4 digits of my social security number. They have also used my old checking account and forced me to be in the red. How do I stop these guys from doing any more damage?

Its a SCAM It was a women this time telling me she was from New York Little do they know you can look up phone numbers and this one orginates in Levittown, PA.

Complete scam. What a bunch of idiots. I blocked my # and called them back just for kicks and grins. I actually had fun giving the guy crap, then he just started rambling a bunch of weird stuff until he hung up. I think I might just keep calling them and harassing them when I'm bored.

I say we ALL call them back from a blocked and/or restricted number letting them know we are filing suit against them and that they are under investigation. If nothing else it will tie up their phone lines keeping them from calling others ... well until they get a new number.

you and i must be on the same page. these people get information off the internet and try to scam people out of money.  unfortunately, i actually fell for this in 2009, and since i became aware i started on a mission to bring them down. i immediately report them to the secret service. but the part where we think alike is that sometimes i call and harrass THEM and they certainly do hang up.  maybe that's what it takes for them to stop.

Yes same here but this guy called with a heavy accent saying he was from Morgan and Associates Law Firm my work phone line! He said a Notion has been filed against my name for criminal activity and my last 4 of my social is **** (which were incorrect might I say) is going to be brought to the government, work place residency address and e-mail address's are under investigation, and he needs to speak to me right away. If not he would forward my information to the government agency and I will be in a legal matter then said have a blessed day.It's a little funny but not really... I guess some people don't have much to do...TOTAL SCAM DON"T SEND THEM ANYTHING!

THE SAME NUMBER CALLED ME AND SAID I OWE MONEY AND IF I DIDNT PAY I WOULD BE ARRESTED AND MUCH MORE HE CALLED ON MARCH 29 2011 AT 4:12 AND AT 11:00 IN THE MORNING SOUNDED INDIAN AND I COUNLDNT UNDERSTAND HIM HE WAS VERY RUDE AND KEPT ASKING ME WHAT I WAS GOING TO THEN STARTED HELLING AT ME TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING WITH MY SS NUMBER AND MY BACK ACCOUNT AND A LAW SUIT WOULD TAKE ACTION AND HUNG UP ON ME

I received the same phone call from 215-693-4153 on my personal cell it was a guy by the name of John Smith he stated  that he was trying to collect a debt for an online loan application that I had submitted online and saying that I was in big legal trouble and if I didn't pay them they would send the file on through and I would be in big trouble. His voice sounded like a guy from pakistan and was very rude when I was talking to him. I told him that I had already contacted the Disctric Attorneys to report them and that I knew that this was all a SCAM..........I am very worried becuase this is the 1st time that I reaceived a phone call like this, I hope these idiots get caught!!!!

I received the same phone call at my job saying that I was in big legal trouble and if I didn't pay then they would send the federal marshall to my job to arrest me.  What these idiots didn't realize is that they called a federal building.  I called them back with one of the officers standing next to me and informed them that they had called a federal number and that I had reported the number to my officers along with the Attorney Generals office.  The guy saying he was officer John Smith then told me to suck his d*** and hung up on me.  I called back today to mess with them and as soon as I said my name they said they cannot talk to me and hung up.  People this is a total SCAM...I heard them getting debit information from other people while I was on the phone.  No attorney's office will ask for your payment information on the phone.  They will summons you to court and then you have to go through the court system.

I have been getting the same calls a couple times a week.  He says he is John Smith and I am in legal trouble and if I do not call him back I could go to jail.  He is very hard to understand with very broken english!  I agree it is a scam because I am not in legal trouble!!

I couldnt help myself and called them back. I used broken english like some of my old relatives used.  I said my name was henery stavin, insisting that I wasnt in any trouble and came to this country when I was a little boy 42 year ago.  Well Smith found my information, and said I had to pay 153.56 in fees. (interest and late fees). Again heavy indian (east) accent. After playing it up for a bit, saying "I go to bank my son take me, I go early and see monica girl" I ended up terminating the call saying I go bathroom.  Well this only confirms that this is a scam, since he found my fictitious name and wanted payment now.  They are getting smarter, asking for smaller amounts, and I think using a worse accent when it suits them. (he spoke real well when confronted with broken english and wanted my money)  This needs the attention of our government and legal system. Go in and round them all up!

He called me from this number 1-503-339-1253 on 10/8/10 telling me his name was MARK HUDSON ITS A SCAM!!! search that number and youll see they sound indian and they have american names?? what they did to me is there same name(PISSED OFF)
