I just received a call from 216.362.5000. It is NOT Firestone Credit. Firestone uses an alternative financial source for their financing. I just spoke with them today.

received a call from this number. They wanted to verify something but could not answer my question on what they wanted to verify. Then they said I neede to listen to a recorded message. i said we do not listen to recorded messages. Then I asked to talk with a supervisor. They said I had to wait. Then they said I had to call an 800 number. Then they said for me to call back. I do not know what is going on. I told them I do not have a credit card with them. Then they wanted to know if our address was a certain address and if my husband lived there. I tried not to give them any messages. But they only said they were the operator. This sounded like a scam or ? like a stolen ID.

I got the same call several times from 216-362-5000 and when I talked to them last night I had my statement information up on the screen and they still told me I owed money and my payment was late.  Not true....I'm totally up to date and my balance is not what they said it was......She told me I needed to make a payment.  I told her I would not be doing that as my payment was due until July.  She hung up on me.
I'm now holding to talk with CNFA direct to see if they know anything about this fraudulent tactic.....get this - she just caem back on line and told me that someone else in Arizona has my exact name (which is spelled differently) however with a different middle initial.  She apologized and said they would correct their records and I would no longer get calls from them.  We shall see....guess I need to check my credit report now.

Texas here, missed call from this number and returned voice mail looking for a Pamela Johnson. I spoke to the woman for "Credit First National", the Investigation Department...allegedly. She confirmed I didn't know a Pam Johnson who lived in the city I moved from about a year ago. I thought that ironic, so I said that I did actually live there formerly, and remarked how I thought that was strange.

Will definitely be checking my credit report soon, though I wish them luck. My credit's shot already, I probably couldn't open a credit card myself!

They call me almost everyday at any time from 9am to 9pm. I never answered and they never leave a voicemail except once but it was just a silent 3 second voicemail. I see now through other posts that it's firestone but I had work done earlier this year but my payments are up to date. I recommend people to NOT get a card through them to avoid this annoying situation.

Just received call # 3 from "Credit First." The first two calls, I didn't answer. The third, I did answer. Because I had googled the number and read all of your posts, I was ready to talk to her. She asked for (insert butchered name here.) I said, "This is (corrected name.) Who are you?" She said she was calling from Credit First and that she needed me to listen to a recorded message. I said, "No, you're not. And no, I won't. This is a scam." She chuckled and said, no, we're not, Ma'am. I said, yes, you are, b****." Then I hung up.

Incidentally, I have a WheelWorks Card through CFNA. I see Firestone mentioned here a lot, but not WheelWorks. I'm wondering if they're owned by Firestone.

I live in MST zone and received a call from this number.  It came up on the caller ID as Firestone Tire.  We do have credit with them, but everything is up to date and so I did not answer.  They did leave a message.  It sounded like a kid on the phone.  They said, "I coming for you, yeah yeah yeah, I am going to kill you."  I don't know who this is nor do I appreciate this type of behavior.  Just thought I would post and let you all know what happend in my situation.  I might just call the police and see what can be done.

Received a call from this number on 12/29/09 at 8:30pm.  Didnt answer because I was at work.  No message was left, but when I googled this number and saw this site I thought I'd report the call.  I also have a Firestone card through CFNA.  Guess I need to check my statement!

just to add to this, I used to be a manager for Firestone.  They offer the Firestone Credit Card and it goes through Credit First National Association or CFNA.  This company is owned by Firestone.  I dont recommend doing business with them, but if you do have an account watch it closely and make sure that all charges on your statement you have approved and signed for.

They called my husband's cell phone tonight, about 7:30. They knew his name and asked for his social security number! He refused, and started questioning them, and they said they had the wrong number. They ask for him by name and claim it's a wrong number??? Give me a break! They knew he wasn't going to play into whatever game they had going and made up an excuse to get off the phone. Still don't know what scam they are running.

Hey I got 2 calls from them this morning and they asked for the girl who has stolen my identity. I told them "that's the girl who stole my identity" and they said "ok so you didn't try to open an account with firestone." I said no and they said they'd take care of it. I think they're legit seeing as she had some other information that some scammer wouldn't know! If you have nothing to do with firestone I recommend stop smelling scam and start thinking ID Theft!

I just got a voicemail today from this number from a woman looking for a man and saying that it was important for me to call back.  I agree that it is likely a scam of some kind.  Googled the number to see if I could figure out who it was and found this site.

They called again today (which makes 8 times now since 9-16, according to my cell phone call log)... I picked it up this time and there was a live person on the other end. They asked for some guy I've never heard of and when I told them that there was no one here by that name and to quit calling me, they tried to tell me that someone took a message for him at this number recently.

I have had the same phone number for over 3 years now and it's a cellphone. No one else but me uses it. The last 2 times they called is the only time I've answered it -- the previous times they hung up on my voicemail. They've never once left a message on it.

I smell a scam.

They just called me at 7:30 PM. After seeing their number on my call log every other day, I answered it. It told me "Please return our phone call at 1-800--" and some other numbers but before I could get a pen, the auto-dialer had hung up on me. I called the 216 number back and got a message from Firestone Credit saying their office was closed and to call back during their normal business hours.

WTF??? Having a machine dial out when your business isn't even open? How stupid!
