This heavily accented and tenacious person kept insisting that I hold CTRL and ' r '.  He said he is with 'Global Technical Service' and investigating 'electro-magnetic threats' attacking in my area.

Nuisance call.  Tried to get me to go online to work with my computer.  Told him he was nuts and get the hell off the phone.  He has called three more times today I just don't answer and the call.  No voice mail left so I will press end to disconnect if he calls again.

Got three calls today ....didn't hear it ring...but saw the missed call...tried to call back but call could not be made through Verizon.
so here we are again!

don't sweat it... they are dialing numbers at random. all variations of local area codes. bound to hit some unlisted numbers.

just got off the phone with this number and some accented guy named "Kevin".  Said my computer was infected.
I asked if the NSA had told him this and he said, "YES. it is an national emergency."
I then went on a 20 minute "ticking him off" conversation.
when he finally started getting noticably upset, i asked him what my name was.

that was the beginning of the end. he said, "Mr. Jackson".
i said, "try again, kevin."
he said Mr. C***.
I said... ah. kevin, you are loads of fun! i love talking to stupid people. makes me glad i got out of bed this morning to work at my COMPUTER JOB.
he hung up.

Constant calls from this #!!!!!!!!!!

I have received 4 calls today from that number. I answered one & there was no one there. Kinda of freaking me out. My number is unlisted.

This number has called every hour today. No messages and if I answer it sounds like ringing, as if I'm calling a number.

222-555-7777 obviously not a legit number, but I run a business out of my home so I answered it professionally.  Hang up.  Called again a couple hours later, same thing.  After business hours I answered "Hello" no response.  But not a hang up, could hear them and people talking like they were in an office.  I again said "HELLO!?" No response.  Finally, I said "WHAT DO YOU WANT"  Still no response so I told them to stop calling and then they hung up.  They called me again fifteen minutes ago.  I let it go to voicemail.  MAKE IT STOP!!!

Have been recieving same for over a week now ,,,, denamnded to know who / what Co I was speaking w/  Caller Hung up
l Called  800-348-8727 4 ( AT&T Annoyance Call Bureau )  They referd me to the Federal Trade Commision
at  877-382-4357   & was advised to File a COmplaint directly w/ them ,  
We are also listed on the National DO Not Call Registery LIst  & these calls are clearly a violation of that Act.

Received 5 attempts from them yesterday with no answer when I picked up.  They called again this morning and I answered.  They said I was running Windows on the computer that I was logged on with.   I told them that I was interested in buying anything, and Carlo said, "You think I'm selling something?  Shut up"  I promptly hung up on them.

I got at least 3 calls from these people today. Twice they hung up when I answered and once they did not leave a message. The most annoying part is that I work nights and they woke me up. Needless to say the number is now blocked.

got called by this number 222 555 777.  turns out it is hackers calling to break into my computer.  they used microsoft as a name drop, to try to convince me that they were ligit.  I started reading up on this number, and it is one that should be blocked from every system.

i can block incoming call by calling *60 and it blocks last number that called from calling again (i have comspan ) i hope your phone company had same service . look em up online.... good luck!!

I just answered a call from 222-555-7777.  They did not speak..we have been bothered by this call
frequently lately.

Got a call from this number and he said ( Indian from India)that he wanted to do something with my microsoft  computer.....I hung up on him. Sorry I dont need any technical help jerk.

Got a phone call from this number asking about my PC.  I said no problems with it and hung up.  Caller would not give name or name of company or why they were calling

These guys are SCAMMERS.  This is a very advanced social engineering scam, with a very convincing scripted responses.

I am a professional computer systems administrator and I know about viruses.  I listened to this scammer for quite a while.  I did not give him any personal information.

He had me open my log files and go through the logs.  There are some red error messages and some yellow warnings messages.  The phone scammer claimed these are infected files that cannot be discovered by virus programs.

In fact these are error messages are very common and are not related to viruses.  Viruses will not leave a mark, will not appear in log files.  Viruses can be found with virus protection programs.  I use Microsoft Security Essentials.  I also use CCleaner, Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware.

The caller assured me that these log warnings and log errors are evidence of infections.

One error is from Bonjour service.  Bonjour is a common program that is part of iTunes.  It always generates errors.  To say this Bonjour error is evidence of a virus is a lie, deceptive and fraud.

At the end he asked to confirm my Windows registration number.  He asked me to open a command prompt. I was just about to end the call, because I do not want to give any personal information.  Then his end of the call was muted.  I hung up.  Then I get another incoming call from an unknown phone number.
I did not answer, then another unknown phone call, I did not answer.

That was the end of the interaction.

First they called and tried to help me correct my computer problems (that I didn't have), so I just set the phone on the counter and let them ramble on.  They must be pissed at me because now they keep calling and when I answer, they won't speak.  I'm reporting to BBB today.

Called on 2/18, 2/19, 3/5. Same crap-know that you have a computer and you have to check it for virus. Told him to go screw a goat, got a string of really nasty cuss words and that my computer would break. He was still screaming when I hung up. Sounded like fronm India or Pakistan.

Received three calls from this number on 2/19/2013.  Had received three calls on 9/21/2011 (reported below).  I did not answer any of these three -- or the previous times in September 2011.  Anybody know what's going on yet?

Continuous calls from this number...I finally picked up and he asked to speak to the 'owner of this phone" told me his name was Etan, very heavy accent.  I told him we do not to any business or give donations over the phone and he quickly hung up.  They never called back.  It was strange.

These clowns called me, said they're from Microsoft and ask if this my computer in the home.  Said "yeah" and they hung up.

got a call at 8am today ( 2-2-13 ) let it go to my recorder and played it back, sounds 500 telemarketers in a small shack and not one word of English heard . How stupid can you people be using a number like 222-555-7777. I guess they don't watch TV or movies they always use the 555 prefix or maybe your all blind. Wake up and smell the Colombian coffee Juan , my dog is smarter then that :) :)

Got call from 222-555-7777 today.  Didn't answer, as I never answer numbers I don't recognize.

Wish I had known what it was I would have anwered and told them to hang on while I'd run around the house and open and close all of my windows to check for him.
