I looked this app on an Google play app called reverse lookup but as far as blocking it I have a galaxy note 3 and can block them. Very interesting what Rick posted above, I didn't know there were only certain amount of numbers that could be blocked but when I run out of numbers to block I will definitely look into digitone. Thanks.

Just don't pick up the receiver, let it ring out. By answering and then hanging up all your doing is verifying that a warm blooded person is there and they will continue to call. Eventually when no one answers the calls will subside.

Not a telemarketer..a SCAM for your personal information..please..don't even answer the call. The then know they are calling a working number.Good luck.
Roberta 2013-08-08 19:28:25 Unknown
Yes. There was an article in AARP monthly lews letter about this SCAM, also!
Beware.

I got the call a few times for this alarm system. I told them I was not interested, but I know of people who are and gave them the phone number of my local police department.
Yournot1of10 2013-08-08 03:33:21 Unknown
Hi everone I get all kinds of calls not only from this number listed but other numbers all day long. I did some investagating and all you have to do is go to the local walmart or other retail store and pick your self up a panasonic corless phone. It will say right on the box it will BLOCK CALLS and it does. Also when the caller ID comes up unavailble out of area it will block them also it is the only phone that I know of that will do all this. It all works for me good luck
John 2013-08-07 18:44:20 Unknown
They change number every few days, how will that help?
Larry 2013-08-07 18:42:52 Unknown
I just called the real company who's name they used---they said others have been telling them same complaint, and they are NOT asscoiated with these people calling. So it is a scam.
They call from a different nuber every time, so blocking them won't help. I suggest saying you will talk to them, tell them you are interested, and tape phome call, then send it to attorney general, or whowever you want. If nott, they will keep callong, I am on third month of a call a week from them.
Joe 2013-08-07 18:32:52 Unknown
5th time they have called in past month. I constantly asked to be put on do not call--they keep calling.
I finally talked to them, made belive I wanted their alarm system, but was cut off when I asked them a few basic questions (location of company was one that got him to hang up. )
tone26 2013-08-07 18:17:16 Unknown
i let it ring once, pick it up and slam the phone down.at least they'll be charged for the call;because this is a useless battle with this scum.
MidNyteStorm1 2013-08-07 18:07:55 Unknown
You should never press a button. It will only increase the number of calls received.
MidNyteStorm1 2013-08-07 18:06:07 Unknown
This number called around 8:02 PM eastern. Thankfully they did not leave a message. But based on the other comments it would sound like this is another one of those bogus alarm systems.
Needless to say calls like this will continue to exist as long there are people gullible enough to fall for these scams. The worst thing is that they seem to go after senior citizens and the disabled.
A bit of advice. NEVER press any numbers! Doing so will increase calls!

Incomplete message about "....home-alarm system if I allowed them to put an advertising sign in my yard...".
Criminals 2013-08-06 22:01:59 Unknown
They are criminals lookin to steal. They don't care about the do not call list and they don't care about you. This is a complete scam and the callers know it and it is completely illegal.
Barb from GA 2013-08-06 20:59:55 Unknown
I looked at my Caller I.D. and didn't pick up. No message. Another scam.

About 15 min. before I got this call, I got a robocall from 586-231-3710, R2J2 COMPANY, about the free alarm system. I pressed "9" to be put on the do not call list. Then came this call, not a robocall -- whoever was on the line said nothing, even after I said 'hello' -- so I said (LOL) "you f****r, what's wrong with you? don't you have anything better to do? or do you get paid by the number of calls you make?" then s/he/it hung up. They're probably still laughing about it back at their boiler room. I'm tired of these dirty dogs and I'm going to report them. I'm on the government Do Not Call List. I feel like I'm being harassed.
Candace 2013-08-06 14:36:58 Unknown
They called -- Unknown Name identified as just that -- and a recorded voice said please choose a number to be added to Do Not Call List.
Hunter 2013-08-06 10:59:02 Telemarketer
Msg wanting to sell me security system. Now why would anyone respond to a call like this when it's unsolicited and from a state they don't even live in? Not only do these "fly by night" companies not obey the law by ignoring the DNC registry, they assume everyone they call is an idiot and will jump at the chance to do business with them. I think I resent this more than the unsolicited call itself.

Did you read the above poster? They are scammers, criminals, thieves, etc. They dont care.
Sophia 2013-08-05 23:24:49 Telemarketer
Why does the above number call me every day wanting to place a sign in my yard and receive a free alarm system. No matter what button I push, I can never talk to anyone. It says to push any number to be put on the Do Not Call List which I have done many, many times, but they keep calling. I am sick and tired of this. It continues to show a call on our phone, and we cannot get it removed. Is there some way to get across to this stupid company that we DO NOT WANT their offer and DEMAND that they stop calling here several times daily.
It IS ALL A SCAM FOLKS! 2013-08-05 22:07:00 Unknown
WARNING PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS WARNING!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE READ.
IT IS A SCAM!!!! Just a different day, a different number. Same criminals.
The free home security scam has been going on for years. It is never ending. First of all, ROBO TELEMARKETING CALLS ARE ILLEGAL. If any random caller calls you and it is automated, IT IS ILLEGAL. These criminals use the same automated message. The only difference is the number, they use a host of numbers. A clear caller sign that this is a scam is simply looking at the caller ID. If the number is outside your calling area or unfamiliar number accompanied with a telemarketing automated message then you should know it is a SCAM. This isnt a real company, there arent any services provided, just theft. They will call again later with another number. "Free Alarm" should be your first warning, nothing in life is free and always be suspicious of "free" things. If you need an alarm, GO TO A REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT HAS A PHYSICAL ADDRESS AND CALL CENTER.
Telemarketing scams are on the rise.
NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Dont bother calling the number back, dont bother requesting to be taken off the list. Dont bother messing with them by playing with them on the phone. Criminals do not care about you nor the law.
Report every single call. warn others, never ever give out personal information over the phone, not name, address, especially not personal history, credit card/banking information or social security numbers. And definetly DO NOT ALLOW anyone in your home.
DONT FALL FOR IT, KNOW THE SIGNS. IGNORE IT, WARN OTHERS, REPORT TO AUTHORITIES.

Don?t bother to call the FTC or fill out the complaint forms. They?re a bunch of jackoffs and they won?t do one damned thing to help you. They don?t really have any power to do anything.
If you are willing to pay the price you can stop these calls. Call blocking as it is currently available from service providers is not useful since they only allow you to block about 5-10 numbers. Even the Panasonic phones with built in call blocking will only block 30 numbers. I decided this wasn't good enough and did some research. If you want to spend the money, you can buy a device that will block 80 numbers from calling you. It is called a DIGITONE call blocker and it runs about one hundred dollars, and can be purchased from DIGITONE COMMUNICATIONS at 6501 E. Greenway Parkway. Ste. 103-622, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 They can be reached by phone during business hours at: 1-877-610-5693 or visit their website at www.digitone.com. This device saved my peace and quiet and will do the same for you.

Scam recording offering a "free" alarm system. We know it's not legit because we're on the Do Not Call list.
jack44 2013-08-05 18:38:59 Prank Call
They called, no message left. said free alarm on my caller ID. Why would I get a call from Illinois, about a free alarm. Why not a local call? SCAM all the way.
