Received a call from this number and it said on CID "Name not found." I called it back and a recording said it was not a working number or no longer in service.

Got a call from this number and when I called it back got a recording that said the number is not a working number , however that is the number that shows up on my caller ID.

Get calls from this number a lot.  Just got one (Name not found) @ 1;27PM 11JANJ2013and no on the line when you answer.  Never leaves a message.  Agree this is probably a drive by checking to see if anyone is home.  Wish I knew a way of catching them.  Have installed and am using video surv equipment.  Maybe we can start comparing the video's with the timeframes of these calls.

Caller ID said "NAME NOT FOUND." My husband answered it and it was dead air so he hung it up. I am wondering if it is someone trying to find out if someone is home or not so they can perhaps try to break in when we aren't at home.

I just got a call from this number. I never answer numbers I don't recognize. No message.

I received a call from 866.466.1665. I answered with the intention of giving the caller a few choice words, but as soon as I answered they hung up. I immediately received a call from 225.861.5518 which I did not answer. It appears that these two fake numbers (using magic jack or other interet calling products that allow you to put any number in as the number that will be displayed to the person you are calling) are being used in conjunction with each other but I have no idea as to why. Maybe they have lower paid "staff" make calls to see if they are answered and then the "smooth" talking scammer (who make more $) are ready to call back asap! This s*** has got to stop! Maybe using change.org would work??? After a certain amount of electronic signatures is reached, the president is supposed to address it. All I know is these creaters call my home, my cell, my family and friends cells....literally touches almost everybody I know!

Had them call again claiming to be a home security company.  Hung up.  They need to put a stop to these calls.  My number is unlisted for a reason.

Got a call from this number today.  I actually answered it.  Was a man claiming to be from some kind of  home remodeling company wanting to know if I owned my home.  I hung up.  Very hard to here him, a lot of noise in the back ground.  Sounds like a HUGE scam.

I live in Louisiana; I get calls from all over the state due to my line of work, I never thought twice about some of these posts until now. There has been unusually heavier than normal traffic in my neighborhood, our phone number is UNLISTED (clients receive my home # only after receiving my cell) & my hubby is a police officer (has been for over 35 years). My neighbor, a new one to the neighborhood, recently installed an alarm system that goes off at 4 am & 6 pm either every or every other day. We did not have this problem until they moved in & used that company (others have alarms systems) don't know if its the company or the neighbors. Hubby has asked that the Sheriff's Dept & local P.D. "Step up" patrol in the neighborhood just in case is it an attempted burglary in the process...(the new neighbors took it personal)...

please try to block calls from 225-861-5518.  I am tired of these insentive b*****ds who call and hang up.

What I do---and it works well for me---is I NEVER answer long distant or out of state numbers. If they don't leave messages on my answering machine, then they're scam crooks I'd rather not speak to.

But THIS number, after reading recent posts here, concerns me: I suspect these guys are travelling crooks and likely are well funded---and they may know where I live.  Me and my neighbors have reported to police, seeing recent unfamiliar and very suspicious late night drive-by traffic; they too also are getting calls from this number.

IF you get calls from THIS number----DO NOT ANSWER THEM: Contact local police and/or sheriff's office about these calls....and keep an eye out around your neighborhood.  Let police know IF you see any suspicious drive by traffic.

The recently made posts, I assume, come from Louisiana---likely a specific region / location of the state.

This clearly means one thing: A well funded travelling team of scam specialists and / or burglars are "casing" neighborhood areas via phone. If this number calls you, it's safely logical to assume these crooks KNOW where you live---and likely have driven by your home, likely late at night.

DO NOT answer calls made from ANY out of distantly local and/or out of state number you don't recognize; if they don't leave live or recorded messages on answering machines, then it's safe to assume they're phone crooks....or crooks like those calling THIS number.

If you see drive by traffic of a suspicious nature around your neighborhood, note the vehicle and/or license plate number: This info can help police greatly.

IF THIS number contacts your phone---notify local law enforcement and sheriffs office.  Maybe enough people getting these calls will prompt law enforcement to seek Homeland Security and/or FBI help---people who DO have some clever crook location high-tech toys.

Called Police and FCC - this is why you should be a where of ID Theft - this is a way hackers get into your network if your home phone and modem are someway connected!

received a call from this number a mean on the other line asked if we wanted a security system put in and that they could access from their phone and servalance. We looked it up and many sites said it was not recognized. but another said it was a caller in Louisiana.

same thing here. silence then a beap and recorded "goodbye". almost sounded like they were recording me. tried to call back and says my call cannot be completed as dialed

Received a call from this number twice.  The first time it was the same as everyone else is reporting.  The second time there was a pause and it was someone supposedly from a home security company soliciting sales.  Something didn't seem right about the call. I called the number back and it was a disconnected number.
