Good thing it seems to just be spam, so didn't bother calling back.

226 IS NOT AN AREA CODE, it is a country code for Burkina Faso in Africa.

8:40pm Wednesday, just missed a call from this number to my pay-as-you-go cell phone in Vancouver, which is in the (new) 778 area code. No voicemail, fortunately -- that would cost me. A nuisance, nonetheless.

Just got a call from this number. I pick up the call but no one answer til 15 seconds later. Then it played a stupid recording message that I won a trip and asked me to press 1 for continue. Don't press or answer this call. It's one of those many stupid telemarketers.....

Got the call on my cell@7:11 this evening. Was outside so, when I came in, saw it was this number.It looks like they're calling Manitobans today as I'm in Winnipeg as well. Does't matter if you're on DNC list, overseas is not bound by that list.

NEVER PRESS "9" DURING A ROBOCALL!!! Just hang up! If you press "9", they might be able to hijack your long distance plan and run your bill through the roof.

BE CAREFUL!! Robocalls that ask you to press "9" can use that to hijack your long distance plan and run your bill through the roof. Call your provider and ask them to put a watch on your account for odd behavior.
