If I received anymore call from this number the police will be notified ASAP

I get 1 or 2 daily. My phone says I have voice mail messages  but when I check it it says there is none.

This number called my mom, my brother, and me (all different numbers & cities) within the course of half an hour between 5:30 and 6:10 this morning. We all thought something was wrong as we have extremely ill family members. NOT IMPRESSED TO FIND OUT THAT IT'S SOME PRANK CALL KIND OF DEAL.

My cell phone just rang and that 226-580-4001 showed up.  I'm with Telus monthly billing.  It is just a number where your voice mail messages are stored, you call it, punch in your pin # and you will hear any voice messages left for you.  If you have a prepaid card, you will probably pay for getting your voice mails.  I believe that's just the way it is with most prepaid phones. Anyway it is completely above board.  Just remember, that is not the actual number that called you, it's where you collect your voice mails from.  Hope this helps.

God. this is really annoying. its not my voice mail calling. i never have voice mails.

Got a call at 2:52 am, scared the heck out of me. Goin to turn my cell off at night now which is totally wrong when a family member might need me.

Its your voicemail number calling you to let you know you have voicemail .....

Its your voicemail calling you to let you know you have received a call and that you have to call them (voicemail) to retrieve the message.  I believe you will see charges both ways on this one ...... nice

Check your billing and you will find, as I did, that there will be numerous charges on your account listed as outgoing calls ......calls that you didn't make.  Whoever this is they have discovered a way to bill your account unknowingly until you block this number.  Contact your service provider and get refund for calls charged.

Its just ur voicemail no. Im with koodo and if someone calls me and it gets to the voicemail, this no. Shows up.

its also the number in my area that dials out when i am retrieving my voice mail messages.
So...for those with telus...you are calling out and costing you money when you are using your voice mail, at least for those with pay as you go.

this number is a general storage number were the network stores your voicemail, you still access your personel voicemail with your own voicemail password. the password is also linked to your sim card, so if multiple ppl have the same pasword there is no risk of getting anyones elses voicemail.

My phone says outbound calls to this number?

This number has called me for the last month. I don't answer it, but my voice mail is full now because of who ever it is calls 24/7, all hours of the day. Has anyone figured out who or what it is?

Hopefully it stops soon. Reading all of these posts makes me wonder if my cell is being hacked...ugh

i have the same issue, buy a new phone and in about two weeks that number will re-appear again.Now thats wierd!When I searched that 2265804001 not quite a year ago it was traced to an escort service in London,Ontario....Scary!

My cell  phone has this number as a call forward in my options list and I can't delete it im a telus prepaidf customer and my number is 5194963710 so theree for when busy no answer,unreachable this is where my calls re being forwrded to and it will not allow me to deactivate trhis not my requested I believe illegal featur e shannon ohanley. Today, I was checking my voicemails on my cell, so I pushed the voicemail icon on my phone and checked them. When I looked at my call log afterwards, (226) 580-4001 was on it instead of saying voicemail - this is not anything close to my number. So I tried calling the number and it went straight to my voicemail inbox. Obviously I thought this was strange so I called Telus and they said it was a separate number for my voicemail (apparently all voicemail boxes have separate numbers). When I call the number from my house phone, it directs me to an automated voice system that asked me to enter my mailbox number. Apparently it is a mass number for all kinds of voicemail boxes. It must be some sort of glitch if it keeps making calls and leaving voicemails on people's phones.

Again this number phoning my cell phone, didnt answer, they must have left a message, but i just deleted it.  I wish these people would get a life and a real job.

No idea who this would be? I never give out my # except those I chose.

This number appeared on my wife's phone at 12:06 & 12:09 with a sent sign as well as when i checked my account.  Perhaps they called me and she was checking my call list???  This is bugging the crap out of me because we've had some relationship issues but now I don't feel so bad.  Obviously the call was made to me and she may of went to check it and dialed it because we are the most un-savvy couple left on the planet re: techknowigy-see, I can't even spell it...  Thank you to everyone who posted here. I'm betting the theary of Telus getting to bill extra is the right one.  We don't go over our $60.00 per month plan and perhaps this is their way to get more out of people like us.  Any comments would be welcome.  Thanks again everyone who took the time to post!
