same d****head called me with message" hi -------- this is Sean Castle from FDA federal building 4 in Washington dc. call me i don't want to take legal action against you." i called him back i was freaked out, because I've been buying pills online for over 10 years i told him" O'k you got me, so what now?" he then gave me a number and a 1 hour security code using someone on a police scanner(sounds very real by the way)  that if i got pulled over they would arrest me if i didn't give them this number. so i wrote everything down. he then sent my call to a "lawyer" name Lester Ferderman, a black guy that is very good with legal words to freak people out, he wanted to charge me $8800 for him to take my case. i didn't have that so he asked i had and told him so he was "willing to work with me to keep me out of jail".so i was willing to send him the money and he wanted to keep me out of jail. wanted me to go to western union and wire the $ to a guy. he wanted me to wire it with using" wire in minutes" i didn't have the $60 to use that so i went with wire in 24 hours, he got all freaked out and said i may get arrested. so i sent the money he wanted the track number from the wire transfer. so i went home freaked the hell out, and sat down and thought for a minute. why did he refer me to a "lawyer" they don't give 2 s**** weather i get a lawyer or not. so i found this site... needless to say i called the western union number and gave them the track number and i canceled the wire transfer. he called me the next day cussing at me and called me a f*** a** and i was in deep s*** that police are on their way to arrest me... so i kept calling him, 37 times to be exact, all in a row within 2 minutes. he blocked my number but i still keep calling him everyday screwing with him.
thanks to this thread i was able to keep from getting scammed, but i do feel for the people that did get taken. I'm sure they get a lot of elderly people and stuff. i thank everyone here for the help.he isn't in jail and i still using the same name. and its 2014, so you see no one will get him. hes using a magic jack system. i'm so sorry for everyone that he took.

Sean (Shawn?) William Castle claimed to have records of online medication orders because of a big bust by FDA/DEA indicating I had committed a felony by purchasing medication online. His latest number is 240-330-6547. Bad, bad person. I'm ashamed I fell for his threats. Whatever name he's using now, this slippery guy belongs in jail, and I intend to use all my resources to ensure that happens.

Received the first call in April 2011.  Left a message on my phone that Scared me to death. The supposed DEA agent Paul Tran, with fake badge number, told me there were issuing a warrant for my arrest  because of my name turned up for purchasing illegal drugs . I HAVE NEVER used drugs...except for  my prescription blood pressure medicine and hormones...:-)   When I called the number back, I told him that.
That was my first clue something was weird.  He told me if I didn't begin cooperating that there were Local and  federal agents waiting on my street to arrest me.   I work for a large school district and I  was in the building alone.. I told him, bring it on... I work at the administration  offices and I was calling our school So I called our resource office, the FDA and the local police to come in and get me and walk me out. CLICK!

Then two days ago January 2012, I received another call, this time from a women who identified here self with the FDA and a badge number. Before she could proceEd... I said, "YOU ARE BUSTED! I'm recording this conversation and I know you are a FRAUD/ SCAMMER!" - Again - CLICK

Yup. I too have gotten their calls. They must get our names from the online 'pharmacies' which are mostly ripoffs selling counterfeit medication. When I realized this was a scam, I listened to his threats. I thanked him for the information and said I was impressed with his knowledge of federal laws. I followed by asking a question, "What is the jail time someone can expect for impersonating a law enforcement agent?" Click goes the phone (but the calls keep coming).

Received call Aug 25 2011. Man by name of DAVID MELEMKEVITZ left a message giving me 3days to contact him and if I did not I would be arrested. I contacted this man and got the story of buying illegal drugs and he was doing an investigation. He said not to mention this to people or I may have the press, neighbors, and other people all over my property. He said I did not need the embrassment of this as they were taking me away in hand cuffs. He said I would be arrested at any place I may be even at work after the investigation was complete. I was obviously upset so I contacted my attorney. He contacted the DA's office, filed a report with the county detective office and thyen called the DEA. Unfortunely there is actually a DEA AGENT with the same name but the numbers are different. So this man is also using an unauthorized name. This man contacted me 8-29 and 8-30-2011. He  said he was busy with another investigation and he was gonna call me back at 10pm that evening. His call in at 9:55 pm but the phone was answered by a male. This man said he was gonna come to the house in a few minutes and make his arrest.

Prank Call
Rec'd Call From  Agent Claiming to be "DAVID MELENKEVITZ" This morning at 10-47AM. Claiming to have evidence of an out of country pharmacy purchase delivered to my business address in 2007.
He only wanted $2000.00 to clear my record and prevent any Federal Actions taken against in court and this would "SEAL" my records,  He  would even allow me to pay "the FINE"  in installments,
I should keep this all confindential speak to no one or reveal to no one this SPECIAL deal he is cutting me because I am such a upstanding US CITIZEN with no previous criminal record or even a Parking-Ticket he said.  I could look him up on the DEA Website and his phone number would be listed there but he could not take my call on the "Office-Phone" as we were currently speaking on another line.
But I could go to MSN-- Hotmail----Something and chat with him and see his picture there.
He claimed his Badge # was 289 and his email address is DavidGI141@hotmail.com.  I Should send correspondence to 476 Avenue Suite 2 Haverhill, Mass. ( I guess he meant payment checks)
I notice the first complaint regarding this phone number in 4-2010 was asking for $1,200.00.
AHH--Inflation-- Cost of Living Increase Maybe.
He must have quite a successful track record with collections... if he is still at this  using same phone # since 4-2010 Anyway  Just a heads up for all you  other "CRIMINALS"  out there waiting to be solicited by the "FAUX" Mr David Melenkevitz

This guy has called several times.  He claims I should of gotten a warning letter from the DEA in regards to something I bought.  He sounds so nice, but he is a scam.  I run a DOT management and safety consulting firm and these type of people are always looking to make a quick buck.  Beware of them and just hang up.  No one is going to show up to arrest you.  They will try and steal ever dime you have though.

My mom in PA rec'd a phone call from this number today.   She thought he said FBI agent,  something about someone using the phone to buy illegal drugs or something to that effect.  My 30 year old nephew told her to get their info to call them back,  but they hung up.   If this has been going on since April,  can't something be done with this person?

The type of scam arises again from this phone number but now under the guise of US MEDS but using a name of Sean Castle (agent 114) tried this.

A few weeks ago, got an unexplainable package of what looked like meds from Mumbai India that we turned back into the post office.

DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS.  Desperate times, but these people are just plain evil.

Thank you for this webpage. This guy claims he's from the
FDA he gives a badge number and "case" number and threatens
That if I don't call him back he will turn my "case"
Over to the courts. Years ago I bought prescription drugs over the internet. Worked great until I started getting fake meds from China. Now I have insurance, am seeing a doctor and am paying a $10 co-pay for the same medication I was spending hundreds of dollars on. But I keep getting calls from "my pharmacy". Anyway, I looked up the FDA and they have a completely different area code. Then I googled the number and found this page. My cell phone company offers call blocking. So that's what I am going to do. Fortunately, because of my bad financial situation, I never answer calls from unknown numbers.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is ashame that these people will take from inocent people like us, who probably would help anyone in their dier straight. But why can't these people get caught? why can't you sue them for your money back? I just don't understand why this keeps going on. I just refuse to answer the phone anymore if it comes up Toll Free or uout of area if I do not recognize the number or area code. These people are so low why cant they get off there a***s and get a job like most of us do. They are basically lazy and depend on the rest of the world to support them. What about our own families. I am on disability and can't work even though I would just die to get a job. I want to work. We are in debt over our eyes and then to have these people try to scam us out of money? I tell them if I accidently answer the phone cause I maybe in bed still when they do call, That I am on the board for the poor people of this world and I need charity and unsually they hang up..

Had a voicemail from this number, same as others have reported ("Agent" "Badge number" "We have a federal warrant for your arrest"). Called back, left a message, then googled the number and found this page. Called back a second time, told the person who answered (the same voice as the "agent" and their voicemail) that I had discovered they were a scam and asked for permission to record the phone call. He hung up right away. I must have been the only person on the internet to order meds with a real prescription for a real condition, and they must somehow have gotten a record of the transaction. That would explain the regular phone calls from guys with the same New England accents offering to "reactivate" my prescription. "100% legal!" Hopefully, this arrest scam is a last attempt to squeeze something out of whatever data bank they cracked.

Ok, I know this idiot sounds a little scary to people who dont know whats going on....how do I know? This same guy, then named "William Rice" scammed over 4000.00 from me about 5 months ago before Christmas. Same type scam except that time he was 'DEA". If anyone sends money he will then say there is a problem after he said there wouldnt be..then another problem...and so on. I am not an idiot, BUT these people have a way of scaring the crap out of you and for every question I had, he had an answer. I am not very informed on how law enforcement works because Ive never had a reason to be. When I had sent him all the money I could possibly spare I finally broke down, and I mean BROKE DOWN, and told my husband about it. The FIRST thing he said was "oh PLEASE tell me you didnt send them money" and after he looked the name and number up and I read all the posts of scams I felt like the biggest loser in the world....I have 3 young children and I sent this a-hole basically the money we were going to use to go to Disney World. I was a mess for days...i could not forgive myself and still cant. The money issues come back up periodically and I relive it all over again. I did call the number back and give his voicemail an EARFULL and he didnt call back. One week later i noticed he had dialed my cell and started to speak and I think he must have realized he had already scammed me and gotten caught so he hung up. Apparantly these idiots call so many people that cant remember who they have scammed and who they havent because I got the new call today from this number with a different agency and a different agent name. I'm not calling them back but if he calls again and I happen to hear the call I WILL give him an earful. I hope my experience will help someone before they make the same mistake. Live and learn.....

Just got a phone call from Paul who said that I was under investigation due to ordering on controlled substance on the internet. Said he was DEA thru the FDA. Gave me a badge number of 2089 and told me he was from GA but that his "chief", who he kept offering to call for me and put in a good word, was in the "main station in Boston". He hung up when I told him I would talk to my attorney (my best friend). Spoke to my attorney who told me to google the number....
Because he continued to ask me if I wanted him to put in a good word with the chief I can only assume he would have then asked me for $$$, etc.
I called him back and told him to google his phone number and told him to get a real job and quit wasting good people's time.

Received 2 calls from Mathew at 229-380-8470 on Friday 4/8 said he represented the FDA. He got my last name wrong (DUH) first name right. Demanding a call back to avoid a warrant issue based on a investigation.

#1 - This was obviously a scam from a off shore location
#2 - The FDA enforces any major law/regulations through the FBI ( I worked for Johnson & Johnson which is regulated by the FDA, they literally had a raid due to non-compliance issues and temp closed the business, only the FBI was present)
#3 - Any Federal agent cannot demand $$, this is fraud and extortion. Just imagine if a cop could give you a call and directly ask for $ - this is a BRIBE.
#4 - Actually I hope he calls back so I can play with him and reverse the situation on his a**.

Got a message Tuesdat morning from a "Paul Tran" saying he was from the Food and Drug Administation. Told me he needed to speak with me ASAP and that if I did not return his call immediately, that there would be a WARRANT ISSUED FOR MY ARREST WITHIN 24 hours! He even gave me some docket # to refer to when callng back. I phoned him back several times, and the same man seems to also be the receptionist~same voice! Then, he never returned my repeated return calls...!!!Today, I called AGAIN, and his voice mail box was full!  I am reporting him to the FDA tomorrow, as they list these almost identical scams on their website! I was EXTREMELY nervous, when hearing "arrest warrant" I think anyone would become nervous! CREEPY SCAMMERS!  Its a federal offense to impersonate a FDA officer so, he is in for some good times, BEHIND BARS!
