Woman called -said she was calling about my Mastercard account, she had the last
four digits of my wife's account number. She said the account was in such good
standing that she was calling to say we would get a $25 gift card to Walmart and a free discount card that could be used for anything we wanted to purchase;
I told her I thought it sounded to good to true, so I was not interested as I
felt it was a scam and she hung up.

A woman called to ask about my visa account.  When I asked what it was in reference to, she said she'll call back later.  The woman quickly hung up after that.  I have seen this number on my caller ID before...don't give any info to them!

This is a scam just like the ones you hear about on tv. They are using your last 4 #'s gain your trust to get the rest of your card # to charge your card $1 for shipping to receive a $50 gas card.Date line NBC did a Special on these over sea scams.

I recieved numerous calls from this number and answered the last attempt today.  Very fishey!  I filed a compliant with the FCC donotcall.com registry.I called and cancelled my cards to be safe.

I have been getting these calls since last Sunday, twice a day.  The caller ID says AVA MI?  Last night I got a call that said POTS PHONE MI.  I happen to answer this one as I have a new number and nobody has it except family.  When I said hello some male said something that I didn't understand because of his accent.  I asked him what he wanted again and still couldn't understand what he said.  I just told him that he had the wrong number and he hung up.  After doing a search on the Internet, I saw this post so decided to add to it.

I have received many calls from this number, asking for me.  I tell them I am not here, I am in the hospital close to death.  They want to thank me for having a VISA card in good standing They want to send me something for a buck.
Told them AGAIN  I am not me.  They thanked me again for a good credit standing.  I have a very good one, but they don't have that information.
They are a foreign voice, maybe where Obama came from or something.
I always hang up before they do.  THEY ARE IDIOTS.

Called about my good standing with visa. Offered to send a $300 gas card. Hard to understand what she was saying. Background noise was heavy. I said no thanks.

The scumbags from Avalon Marketing keep calling and not talking. They are the same people as Gold Coast. Gold Coast was an Oopaloompa asking me about credit card so and so in end ****.

got 2 calls today from this #. Tried to call back,got answering machine. The # is out of Muskegon, Michigan. Can anyone suggest a way to find a mailing address? Ohio permits charging a consulting fee if you have told a solicitor to stop calling. If I can get an address,I am sending these crooks a bill for my " consulting".

Just got a call at work - the foreigner claimed to be named Sam McDonald. With a company called "Avalon" hhmmm??  WHile on the call, I looked up his number and found this.  I asked for their company information, address, phone number.  "Sam" claimed he couldn't give it to me and needed to get his supervisor, I was on hold, hold, hold.  This is a scam - don't fall for it.  Mine was my Bank card - scary!  DOn't answer!

I've received four calls from 231-224-2074 wanting to thank me for being a good Visa customer.  I don't have a visa card.  She said she was calling from California, but the area code is in Michigan.  She said my account(which I told her I did not have) ended in 3092.  She said she was with Today's Escape Plus.  She wanted to send me a FREE $50 gas card for only $1 shipping charge on my part.  Gotta be a scam.

I ordered a snuggie online & the calls started, ive been gettin calls pretty much every day, mult. times a day from 2317322641, 2312272074, & 2312242009 & called the 2009# & typed my number to be removed from the list & the other 2 request a msg to be left w/ ur name & address... YEAH RIGHT... i just hung up. I got my snuggie & was charged the correct amount, but these calls are annoying! When i answer its a lady w/ a strong accent askin for me, so then i just hit a bunch of #s in her ear, she says "hello?" a few times & i'll hang up on her... ive answered a few times for all 3 #s and its the same thing, hopefully they'll stop...

This woman new the last 4 no.'s of my visa car & address.She said was sending me a $50 Walmart gift card,she wanted me hang on the line but i hung up.

I have had multiple calls from this number - but they are listed as "Avalon Marketing" on the caller id.  I got the same spill from them - wanting to send me a free $50 gas cards, etc...  I asked them to quit calling me.  As I am typing this they are calling again.  This time they just hung up.  I am SO tired of these calls!

I received a call from Avalon MKTG with the  last 4 didgets of my card.  I called my back right away.  I also googled the number and found out that this is a scam.    BEWARE OF THE NUMBER 231-224-2074

this number have been calling for weeks she asks me about a card i dont have any more then when i ask who and what she wanted she hung up! what can i do About this

this number called me twice last night and today when they called it said "Unknown". I work at a hospital so when my work calls me, it shows up as Unknown, so I answered it thinking it was my work. I was half asleep and it was these people offering me all of these gift cards associated with a cash/auto program for Visa members and they were going to send me something in the mail and i was under no obligation and something about $1.50 shipping, blah blah blah. They transferred me to another guy who was reading off all these terms and conditions. I was half asleep and they sounded legit, so i just kept saying uh huh, yeah, uh huh. He had the last 4 digits of my card and knew my name and address. All i remember is him saying todaysescapesplus.com and that was it. I am an idiot today I know, but I was half asleep when they called me. So after realizing what went on I called my bank and cancelled my debit card and they are sending me a new one. Hope I dont get charged for a bunch of crap.

I have been this call for weeks they hang up! Then today I had a lady call me telling me that I had a Visa bill! Gave me a code of 739. In the back of the room you could hear a child cry in the back room. DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!

I do had this bad experience, they some how get to know the account details like debit , credit card details. Unfortunate that no action is taken against these fraudulent elements.

Someone from this telephone number has been calling me repeatedly for weeks.  Fortunate for me, I don't normally answer this call as I didn't recognize the telephone number.

I've received multiple calls from this number over the past month. They say that they wish to thank me for being such a good customer and keeping my account ending in the last 4 digits of ....in good standing. They also explain that they are not selling me anything. They want me to receive some materials from several different business names. (Each call is a different company coming from the same phone number. Business names have been LCD.com, Eliteld.com, long distance service, and Travel Escape. In addition to the materials from Travel Escape I would be sent a $50 gas card for only $1 shipping and handling. Also the caller always has a very strong east indian accent.

i never answer this #, this should  be investigated by authorities. Wish I could block this number

I have been getting calls from this number daily.

The caller always asks for my wife and says they are calling about her Amex account....and immediately hangs-up when I ask who is calling.  I called back their number and left a message to include me on their no call list...fat chance that will happen.
This could be a scam or it could be a marketing company.  I was called by two other companies who referenced a recent purchase on one of my credit cards.  When I probed about who they were, they said they were affiliated with the company the product was purchased from....essentially they bought a marketing list that included my phone number and the last four digits of my credit card from the company I bought goods from over the phone. During a phone order (unlike an internet purchase) there is no way for you to specify that you don't want your purchase info to be shared with "marketing affiliates".
 The entity calling from (231)224-2074 is either scamming to take over your identity...or it is executing a sleazy version of the marketing tactic described above.  Either way..DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!

Got a call (AT WORK) from this number...asking for my husband WHO DOES NOT WORK HERE and stated it was regarding his mastercard account.  When I told her that he doesn't work here and asked HOW she obtained my office number as I am his wife...SHE HUNG UP!!!

I received a call telling me about the impressive standing of my VISA card. This card is a bank debit card that was re-instated the day before after an online company (Bid Fuel) made an unauthorized debit and created an avalanche of overdraft and negative balance fees. Furthermore, I have a very poor credit rating. I was told I  had won a $25 gas card and something else I cannot recall. Then I was told it would cost me $1 to 'pay' for these winnings. At that point I said "No thank you" and the caller said goodbye and the call was disconnected. After my experience with Bid Fuel, I am on guard for these types of calls. The phone number that showed up on my caller ID is 12312242074. I hope your office is able to use this information to reduce the number of debit card and credit card schemes. The caller accurately describe the last 3 or 4 numbers on my bank card. I googled the phone number and found a significant number of people have had this type of surprise call from this same caller or company.

I have also been contacted with the exact scheme described.

This # has been calling twice a day for the past month.
Thankfully I have caller id and don't answer any unfamiliar calls.  I am getting rather tired of deleting thier calls every day.

I have received more than one call from this number today.  My caller ID also displays "POTS Phone  MI" in the name field.  I have also received calls from the same company only with New Jersey after the name and the phone number  201-257-4421.  They are both always silent when I pick up the phone.  I called back once, and it sounded like the call center, because the recording asked me stay on hold and wait for the next available operator or have me leave a message for someone.  They are definitely selling something. They didn't even answer with the name of the company on their recording, just asked me to hold.  Please be aware of this number.
