Called me when I answered a machine says "sorry my mistake" and then hangs up. What the heck is this about. I have gotten a 2 or 3 calles like this and can not figure out what they are trying to acomplish.

Same thing...sorry my mistake. When you say hello the computer recognizes it as a real number to be called back at a later time with solicitations. THey are selling a phone list of "good" numbers to some third party. Make sure you are on the Do not call list. So annoying!

They left a message this time: Nicole from UBC - call back # is 866-858-4540 -they are selling credit card services so I can process credit cards at special rates. I think they just want people to call the call back # - I am not calling them. No info available on UBC except same kind of crap as is on this # - has to be a scam of some sort - I have no interest in going any further.

Same call, "Sorry, my mistake". Bullsh*t! The Do Not Call List is a joke! These bast*rds get away with calling at all hours of the day and night, and nothing gets done about it. We should be able to take them to court and be awarded punitive damages for harassment.
