The first time they called I chose #2 to have my phone number taken off the list. The second time they called I decided to play along. What they are doing runs afoul of banking laws.

This is not an issue for the do not call list, after all if I loved getting sales calls on my phone, does that mean I should be happy about deceptive practices. This is a banking/financial services issue, not a do not call issue.  If you want to complain to the FTC or your Congressperson, etc. make sure they know that. They will just try to make it about the Do Not Call list. It is bigger than that. It is about financial instituations being allowed to get away with ripping people off.

Like others said "Phone call from this number stated: "This is your last chance ... press one to take advantage of lower rates on your credit card" ... without identifying the company, or anything. I chose 1, and I asked what company she represented.  She said Mastercard/Visa.  I said what bank, she said over 500.  She kept saying 'we'.  I asked who is 'we'.  She said account services.  Told her that I never heard of them and please take my name off the her list.  She got snippy and her response was,"I never heard of you, do YOU exist."  I hung up!

Dont waste your time contacting National Do NO CALL.  They are a bunch of useless goverment idiots. They dont prosecute anyone. Ever heard of them taking someone to court? Wake up folks. Your politicians have created ANOTHER USELESS GOVERMENT PROGRAM.

I also got a call from this number 239-437-4835 - when asked to be removed she hung up immediately.
The more people complain I beleive the less we will get calls like this.

We also just got a call from this number. My husband answered and hung up immediately. I just filed a complaint at the do-not-call site.

Called at 9:20 am. No message left.

This is the second time these jerks have called with their little credit card scam, so I just reported them to the "do not call" list and encourage everyone to do the same.

Received this call as stated above ("last chance for lower interest rates").  I pressed 1 and FIRST THING, asked her to remove me from their calling list.  She hung up immediately.

I will look into reporting this to the FCC as a violation of the Do Not Call list.  I believe most phone companies have a *## (like *68 or something) that can be used to report fraud.  I reported one a couple years ago, and although the phone company said, "This will incur a $2 charge on your phone bill to initiate an investigation..." but I never did get charged.

(when I asked what company this was), and I said "I'm responding to the phone calls that I keep getting and want to stop; please take my number off your list" ... and you know what she said -- this is a direct quote: "You have a big mouth!"  (click ... she hung up on me!).

This number shows up on my caller ID weekly.  It's obviously a solicitor and I'd like it to stop

Same with the about concerning lower interest rates and about car warrenties.  Anyone got the info for the FTC???

At my Mother-in-Law's when the call came to her house.  Up until today, she did not know that I had put hers and my numbers on the National Do-Not-Call list.  She also did not know that her previous time on it had expired (good for 5 years only).  Anyway, call got answered because a guest thought that they recognised the number.  Well, they probably did recognise the number since EVERYONE is getting these calls.  I copied the number down and FILED A COMPLAINT with the National Do-Not-Call agency.  I read somewhere that there have been 102 complaints so far since August 20, 2008.  That's all.
