Have also been receiving the hangup calls from "Avalon-239-500-3004" and finally found out today 10/1/2011 at 10am that they were from a male (southern accent) who obviously were using caller ID on their end to identify who we are and he stated "Good Morning (used my husbands name) first of all I want to thank you on behalf of the American Homeless Veterans).  Cross reference 1-866-219-6057 to find out more information on them. NOTE:  The above Avalon number comes out of FLA.  Primary Veterans association is out of VA.   Doesn't sound like a good thing.  I've done the things that were mentioned above and also filed a complaint with the FLA Dept. Agri. (See Karen reply to Tracy 5/26/11).

I receive phone calls nightly from the number Avalon 239-599-3004. There is never a person on it... just silence when I pick up....  Please check into this and end it if you are able to... Thank you

Why do we have to get these calls?

I am on DO NOT CALL LIST.  I guess I'll have to take to cape coral and look the people up.

ROGER said he was calling for disable am vets.  when I instructed him to remove my name and number from his call list, he argued!  Stop these people!!

Avalon keeps calling and no answer when i say Hello! The s..t heads called at * A.M. and woke us up and of course no one on the line. When I called back all I get is a fast beep beep. Filed complaints on donotcall.gov and blocked the number.

I recieve a daily call from "Avalom" 239-599-3004.  Since my number is on the Do Not Call listing and I do not owe them money and the Florida Attorney General appears not to respond I guess I will be stuck until someone decides to pull their plug.  P.S.  Get an answering machine and give an LONG official sounding message. slows down their autodailer and stops other bothersome cals as an extra.

Lately I've been answering these calls just before the answering maching picks up.  Then I press the mute button and just listen.  Hey, it's cheap entertainment!  Sometimes they say 'Hello' an few times, sometimes they hang up.  These clowns called my wifes name twice, her formal name so I know its a telemarketer.  Everyone we know calls her by her nickname.  Caller ID: NOFTMYERS, FL - 1-239-599-3084.

Get several calls daily, never leave message.  If I answer they hang up.  Shows up as Avalon on caller ID

STOP CALLING

THis number repeatedly calls and hangs up, so annoying. If people have reported it why hasn't it stopped?

Calls almost daily- all different times of day. Caller ID shows number as AVALON. Tried calling them several times- always a busy signal. When you answer their call, they do not say anthing, and just hang up. What can be done about such calls? I'm on DO NOT CALL LIST- doesn't seem to help. Someone, anyone, PLEASE HELP!.

Someone calls from this number several times a day.  When I answer, there is no one there.

This number calls my mother 2-3 times a day. Doesn't say anything. Very annoying. Stop calling her. And be very glad you're not close or I'd come over and make you stop personally.

At least 40 calls in 3 weeks. Have been on vacation for 7 days. Just got home and had 17 calls from them in 7 days some as early as 915am and as late as 830pm. I've answered before they just hang up. I've only ever talked with one person and they say Veteran fundraising. All others are hang ups. You call them back and you get disconnected. This is the worst I've ever dealt with.  Thanks. Let's get them stopped.

Been getting calls from these morons for about three weeks now.

I can receive up to three calls in a day. No one speaks on the other end and eventually hangs up. I have told the caller not to call my number but it has not made any difference. There should be something done to stop this kind of annoyance.

Same as other complaints had the number blocked for a short time, but now has came around the block

Who the heck are they?  No one ever answers when I say hello.

Getting messages from Avalon and this 239-599-3004.  I answered the later and someone disguising their voice asked for me.  When I asked who it was, wouldn't tell me, continued to ask 3 more times and the person said they would call back.  Called back Avalon # and # was disconnected.

I get as many as six calls a day from this number -- no messages, hangups when I answer.  AT&T says they can't help because they are not the carrier.  The landline number originates from North Fort Myers Florida.  I contacted Lee County Sheriff's Department, and they said they can't trace the number without a court order (!), and no one would feel it important enough to investigate.  I even invested in a "membership" in a service that traces numbers, and they had to refund my money because they couldn't identify who owns the number.

PLEASE CONTACT THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AT myfloridalegal.com, SELECT "CONSUMER PROTECTION", AND FILE A COMPLAINT.  IF I LIVED ALONE, AND DIDN'T KNOW THESE CALLS WERE ORIGINATING FROM FLORIDA, I WOULD BE FRIGHTENED THAT SOMEONE WAS CHECKING TO SEE IF I WERE HOME TO ORGANIZE A BURGLARY.  

As it is, there must be hundreds -- possibly thousands -- of us who are receiving these calls, and we are only going to get help if all of us demand assistance with this. Please file a complaint.

Called us ~09:30 EDT 16Aug2011 but left no message.

I finally answered the phone and no one was there.
Tried to call them back and got nothing.
Wish they would remove my number from their list.

How do I get  off this calling list?   They just hang up.........
