Copied from Rascel (thanks)  My customer received the same call.
****This guys just called me up today. I am in Canada and they said they were calling from Florida (??). They identified themselves as being from the Windows Technical Department, then he said they were a Microsoft authorized company named Global IT Support. Supposedly they had been asked by Microsoft to contact me as they had gotten a report of hacking activity from my computer.
The guy who called me, named Charles, had a very strong accent and he barely understood what I was saying though, as if I did not speak English... hellooooo!!??  He pretended to be able to help me fix this problem and tried to scare me saying that I could lose my computer at any point in time now if I didn't fix the problem immediately. He got very nervous when I started asking him lots of questions and when I told him that I would ask my husband to call him back later.
Beware of these scamers, they are thiefs and hackers themselves, who try to fool you into letting them access to your computer!!

3 positive posts in half an hour. And all written like a 5 year old at an English lesson. An obvious scam - and fortunately the scammers are so stupid, they think people won't see thru their postings. This particular con trick has been around for ages. So keep posting your 'positive posts' you lowlife parasites, because it makes it all the more obvious to everyone that you are scum to be avoided.

I got a call as well, but it was Edward. could hardly understand him. He tried to explain my computer was in danger and that he could help. he finally gave me his number  it's the 239-676-6474 but the call display showed - 206-397-1127. Don't trust this scam. always get information from them, then you check it out! More then likely it's a scam...

Got a call from 239-676-6474 telling me my windows IP number had been missused and a hacker was using my info. I asked the company's  name and he was hesitant and wanted me to sit at my computer so he could help me fix the problem. He said his name was Edward from Orlando and he worked as a sub-contractor for windows. He also told me that he would tell me the company name when I would call back.. Very strong indian accent and worse is I could here me on the speaker phone from where he was. Be aware of this SCAM....

Got a call from Martin and requested the phone number, was given 239-676-6474.  He claimed to be from Microsoft and was going to help with a problem reporting from Windows.  Problem... I use a Mac.  Bogus call trying to access my personal information on my computer.  SCAM SCAM SCAM... Watch out.  No software manufacturer is ever going to call the end user to fix a problem.  They all do it online with product updates.

The guy that called me said his name was Abby.  A thick east indian acsent.  He got really upset with me when I told him that I was no where near my computer.  When I pressured him to give me a number to call him back he said they only had out going line not incoming lines.  After a few more words were exchanged he finally gave me this number
