I received a call from the following weird number:  564564321 telling me I was selected for a government grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, in the amount of $6,700.  I had to then call 239-719-1251 to talk to his "manager", PHILIP SMITH (must be using a new name now instead of John Williams) who asked me for a $200 deposit in order to get my money.  SMH....  

I received the same offer of a $6,700 grant from the "Department of Health and Human Services".  Never gave him my banking information though.  I told him I would call him back at a later time to see if they will call me again.

Just got scammed here was at work my wife called me didn't brother to care and lost me $199 really passed off tho so they had my wife transfer to another number and said to do another $400 added on to the grant money and they say they are the dept of financial institutions so I called them myself and talked to them and some Francis Floyd weird Indian name for the girl and she got all mad and hung up on me tried calling back now they have me on blocked number but I will keep calling on a separate number lol

I just got the same call. They said the same thing. But I didn't call, I looked it up to see what it would say. Did anyone ever get the money?

Same story just 5 minutes ago!

John Williams is a "peggy", on a hillside, with a goat out back for unspeakable purposes! When I called him on this being a scam he started spewing about my country, telling me he is going to blast me, then got very vulgar and said he is going to blast my mothers $%#@! Really? The fool stayed on the line with his spewing for about 10-12 minutes! I finally just told him that the call was being recorded and traced, he got more vulgar and kept talking. Please beware, "Peggy" is trying to scam you.

Got a call from Bratt Smith, said i had been awarded US gov grant,  then said this was not a grant just gov sending $6700. to various people and i had been selected. Told me to call John Williams at 239-719-1251 and give grant applicable code number DC200. I called number and Williams answered. When I told him I thought he had just called me he laughed and said why was I calling him. Told him I was going to report him to atty gen office he hung up on me. He had a very bad accent maybe asian.

GOT CAll from 2397191251 got call from ansi williams said was giving me free grant for being good citizen  bahahas told me to call john williams at that number so of course i called 42 times left messages to tell him what an a***ole he was  he finally called me back n said   i gonna blast you  bahahas so called him all day leaving messages was bored wth  bahaha

Not 10 mins ago got a call from a "No Caller ID" guy said i have received money from the government for paying my taxes on time, and not having any criminal record or files for bankruptcy in the last year. The accent is what threw me off at first but went along anyway. Verified some info and said if need to call the all so famous "John Williams" and give him confirmation # AT100 to receive my $6,700. Called him was going good till he told me because of my state I'd need to pay the taxes on the money and to go to walgreens and get a Green Dot Money Pak for $199 and to say it was for personal use or they could charge more then the added $4.99 charge for commercial use. Yea told him give me 20 mins I'd call him back. Blocked the number looked it up here and thought if share. Going back to sleep, hope this helps someone and not make a mistake!

I got this call Just know sounded super fake, so i checked online to find out about "John Williams" and confirmed the suspicions.  I think who ever this person is needs to be caught, impersonating the government is a crime.. so i thought...

I refused to give him my social security information, and I still got the John Williams line of BS.  Glad I went on here, I will not call them back.  

I got the same $6700 grant offer from the US government and to call John William to get my check sent to me.

John Williams told me i would get 6,700 in a government grant. I gave him four last phony numbers of my ssn. There needs to be something done about this.  He is impersonating persons from the government to steal from unsuspecting citizens.

Haha just got s call from "John Williams". Offering a grant for 6700. I called the number just to see and he said to call back tomorrow. He's leaving for the day.  Haha. Not to mention dude had an accent. Hope no one falls for this.

Recieved a call from a blocked number saying I had been awarded a $6500 government grant.  They verified my name, address, email address, and last 4 of my social (I so regret responding) then told me to call back this number to speak to John Williams to process my grant.  

Got a call from this number. A. "John. Williams" offering a $6700.00 "Government Grant" stated that all I had to do was put 250.00 on a prepaid card and give him the number and the money would be put on in a minimum 45 mins.

Tried to scam us for $ 249 we were lucky they are lucky I was able to stop my wife before anything went wrong big mistake on there part !

john williams from this number called me offering me a government grant if I pay him $250. then he got rude with me and told me to F off.

They are harrassing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
