this number keeps calling my fax line I am on a do not call list since I moved here three and a half years ago also and I have had the fax line for 3 1/2 years- I have no idea why they would be calling the number but its beyond annoying.....

i want these calls to stop, they call me all hours of the day. i think it is some kind of law firm.

Have called me twice this morning and it is only 8:45.  As others have said, they are a collection agency that I only managed to talk to once.  They are rude, insist that you give them personal information so they can "make sure you're not the person they are looking for".  When I told them there was no way I was giving them any information the guy got very aggitated and finally hung up.

Calls repeatedly, weekends, several times a day, asking for someone else.  No call back

SUNDAY NIGHT CALLS

Same story.  This number, and its associated number, 301-882-9975, have been calling me for several weeks, looking for someone I don't know.  At first I took them at their word that they were a law firm/collections agency, but as I have a policy of neither answering nor responding to unsolicited calls, I just delete their messages and hope they'll eventually go away.  Maybe they are legitimate; but their tactics and evasiveness lead to the suspicion that this is a scam or attempt at identify theft.

I've received calls from this number for weeks, sometimes starting very early in the morning.  I usually do not answer a call where there is no identifying information on my CallerID.  But, since I've received so many I decided to answer it tonight.  As many of you have reported, the automated voice asked for a person by name that I'd never heard of.  Then, it said, "If you're not so-and-so, etc., press 5."  Then another automated voice gave me a toll-free number (866-593-8775) to call to have the calls stopped.  I just called that number and asked them some questions such as:  1.  If you're on the level, why are you not listed in a phone book?  2.  Why are you calling people everywhere and asking for bogus people that you know do not live there?  3.  Are you a law firm?  After asking these questions, a female told me in a very loud and rude voice, "I cannot answer any of your questions!!" Friends, don't give them any personal information.  No telling what these people are up to.

We've been calls for months now, several times a day from this number and another number. Recorded message that I usually hang up on. They ask for a name that lives here, she called and they got extremely rude - it dealt with a past bill that was cleared up a year ago. They refused to check the status of the that collection and continue to call. I want them stopped - this is harassment

harrassing phone calls, and messages. old numbers out of service. we are on the dnc list so when they call it is illegal.

got a recorded message ...confidential phone call for....at this point a real person who you couldn't understand (purposely) said some name... and says if you are not this person press 5.... you wouldn't know if your not this person because you really don't understand who it's for in the first place.... I just hung up.....

the number keeps calling. i dont know what its for! everytime they call no one answers! it makes me so mad! i dont get it! then when i call back the phone rings and rings and rings!

Here is something i tried.  I waited and hit 0   then finally someone answered.  I told her to take my name and number out of there file.  
She said they would.  We'll see.

Calls my Verizon Wireless phone frequently. Called tonight again at 7:50 pm PT after calling at 7 pm from a different number listed below. Called me from the following three numbers so far:

301-882-9977

Same as many of the previous. Been getting calls to my wife's cell phone for years. Have spoken to rude people in the beginning. Told them that we don't know Felton. They call at very inappropriate times. We're sick of it and would like to press legal action if it doesn't stop. We were also getting calls for same Felton from Wolpoff & Abramsen. Just spoke to them (Kayla) and they assured me that we will no longer get their calls.

This company calls with a recorded message instead of a live person and now they are calling my office and hanging up. The caller name on the phone shows Chevy Chase MD

I've just recently started to receive these annoying phone calls.  I am a housewife so I mess with them back!! I have some good ones that get them really heated up!!! When I get tired of them I'll block their call.  By the way whoever they are trying to get a hold of:  "It's not me".

Let's see whoever these jerks are, they changed their number, but it's the same ones. I believe it's a collector, but they won't talk to me, just silence. So send me something in writing so I can take you guys to court.

One of the comments suggested the following:
"...Record the tone sound u get when u call a disconnected # on your answer machine and play it 4 them when they call.  This will automatically remove your number from there auto call machine. The trick is to know when they are calling so that u have your machine on at that time..."

I also suggest repeatedly calling their 800 number above. They'll have to pay for the calls.

I think the partial message said that they were calling from out of the country.

Multiple phone calls received over the last 2 months asking for a Debra J. same last name.  No one by that name at this number.  This is a recording from a company named Wolfram Law Firm a supposed collection law firm. Receiving these calls on weekends, evening and just received the same call back to back within 5 minutes.  Very annoying!!!

this number calls multiple times every day and the recording always asks for someone who doesn't even exist. When I call back, there is never an answer. I want them to stop calling me everyday!!!

I get frequent calls from this number, but since it is not a recognizable number I NEVER answer and I NEVER will. I might even change my number because of it.

dont call this guy. He is either involved and a total a--hole who needs an attitude adjustment or he is a victim like us. I have to debt to collect but the amount of phone calls is unreal. If this james brown is not associated leave him alone. If he is a part of this, lets call him every three minutes even on weekends until he feels totally harrassed.

Thanks so much for the information. My wife has been bombarded with calls from this number; the annoyances have been interrupting our 14 month old baby's nap time/s.
I too am on the "Do Not Call" registry. This service is helpful and means alot to live intruders who call.
