Don't answer anything like this and don't call back thinking it is important or just being curious as you can incur charges to your phone account.

Call from 241-000-0000. No one there. Allegedly coming from Gabon?

Called me this afternoon - no message. How the heck did a scammer in Africa get my phone numer?  Ugh.

I get calls from unknown area codes all the time.  If I don't recognize it, I simply don't answer - They also never leave a message.  Probably drives these scumbags nuts when they can't reach you!! I also do the same thing when someone unknown, unannounced or unwelcome knocks on the door! :-)  I suggest everyone do the same.  Don't give these people the time of day and they'll go away eventually when their efforts are 100% failures!!

Got a call from this number. Didn't even get a chance to answer. No message left. Wasn't about to call them back.

I got about the same response - just block the number. Good Luck.

This number called my cell on january 29, 2014 and left no message

Apparently, part of a "one ring" scam. They call cell phones, let the phones ring once and then hang up. When you call back to find out who is calling you, you are charged $30.  Check the BBB website for other area codes.

spammer to lower credit card rates- pushed 1 and some guy from India answered and I could barely understand- told him it was a private, unlisted numaber and on the "Do not call list"  and he stated it didn't matter the number was sold via some credit business- told him I didn't care and that the number was to be removed and never call back- he hung up on me  :-)

RECIEVED CALL BUT DID NOT ANSWER BECAUSE THE NUMBER WAS UNUSUAL

Got a call from this number. I didn't answer knowing the number is spoofed. No message left

I got the call on my cell from "Cardmember Services" I asked the guy what company he works for the reply was "Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Sears, etc...
I informed him I'm on DNC list and this that the # 241-000-0000 is a bogus number.
I also told him that they have called my landline # 3 times in 2 days and I'm reporting them. The guy got real nervous and was stuttering and finally I was disconnected

Annoying, once I answered no one said anything however, I've had several missed calls from this number in the pass

Here's the deal with these calls.  They are robo calls.  Their main objective is to learn whether or not the number their computer called is an active number.  When you, or your voice mail answers the call they then know its a live number and it is entered into their computer..  If you follow the "press#1" instruction you go into a toll call situation where they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible and the minutes are piling up. If you fall for their other scheme and give them your card info, you're hooked.  This is a phishing and toll number calling scam.  Be sure to note the date and time of these calls and check your phone bills for charges related to those calls.  Dispute those charges with your carrier.  

Sure its harassment, but how do get it to stop unless the authority's know about it? Did you expect it to stop the minute its reported? Its not CSI on TV.. things do not get solved in a hour, let alone overnight.   And I disagree with you on the fact no one does nothing.. they do! You need to read the news, the FTC & FCC website's.

You also need to realize that some of these callers are not in the US either..

Why report them...no one does anything about it. Its harrassment....they are making money..

I got one of these calls today...and boy I got the full blown vulgar call for saying their company was a fraud....SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS>>>>>>

Got a call this afternoon from 241-000-0000. Saw it coming in on my cell phone & ignored it because (1) didn't recognize the area code and (2) NEVER respond to any "blocked" number. I too, and on the Federal DO NOT CALL Registry. A lot good it does. I'm gong to add this # to my blocked call list with Verizon.

He called me a white mother f#cker so told him to get the f#ck back to Africa where he came from

I received this call today. Today I pushed 1 to get someone. Women came on and said how are you and I said fine. I then beat them to the punch and said how are you, you f--- w***e and your moms a w***e and doesn't even love you because you were a mistake from prison gang bang . She then started to scream and cuss and I hung up.

I got a call from this number but I DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALL THAT I  DO NOT RECOGNIZE AS ONE OF MY FRIENDS TO WHOM I GAVE MY NUMBER TO.  It is a good policy to follow as I read all these responses.

Same...got a call from this number during the work day, didn't answer, and they left no voicemail.

Called me today at 11:25am i didn't answer because who has a phone number with all zero's except the area code????

This number has contacted me and it states it is a non-working number when I call it back.

Credit card services.  Pressed one and asked to be removed from list.  Argued with me as to why.  Persistently asked to be removed.  Finally told me to wait 30 seconds so I could by removed.    Came back on and argued again about removing.    Told me they would call ten times a day and hung up on me.

These guys are out of their minds. Caller was threatening and cursed at me numerous times. He claimed to be offering me a lower interest rate on a credit card but he could not even tell me which credit card he was calling in reference to. I told him I did not have the card to give him the expiration date and he said "You are too slow, I've told you 10 times already mutherfu**er!! Fu** Off!!!" and finally hung up.
