I received a call from a 1.877.237.0512 that told me that it is 248.306.2000 that is seeking money from me on an account I paid years ago.

This number keeps calling me and hanging up also. Getting sick of it.

They keep calling my house phone and no one answers and it is a scam that I do not want to be a part of. I wish they would just stop calling me. They call my house every single day and what seems like every single hour. I answer to tell them to take my number off the call list but no one is there to answer.

Seems they were looking for the previous tenant--not me. AT&T needs to quit giving the same number out to the same space!

Unless of course it was that Chapter 7 bankruptcy filed in 2004 clearing debt. In that case they should have showed up at court then not 10 years later.

I don't know who this person is & never had dealings with Washington Mutual. She needs to quit calling my internet line--I do not answer it. It's also a Registered Do Not Call number since 2011.

If this Mary Jane character keeps calling you, call Rex Anderson in Davison:  the best attorney VS collection shysters in the mid-west.  He will put a stop to it and probably get you $1000 for each violation she perpetrates against you again.  I just got a call as well and will be on the phone with Rex in 5 minutes.

I just received a call from this number but when I answered no one replied so I hung up.  I am glad I looked the number up. Thanks to everyone who has posted here. If they call back I won't answer. Going to have to get a call blocker put on my phone eventually. My service only allows so many and doesn't screen out 800 numbers.

This woman (if you can call her that) is crook and she is scum.  Do not make any deals with her but protect your bank accounts because she will grab any money she can.  She will also take you state refund check by attaching it but it will be attached forever because she charges interest and fees that go far past the original debt.  Your debt to her will be going on forever, I know of one person that has been paying her for over ten years and she still owes twice what she did originally.  She finally filed for bankruptcy and the B***H is still trying to harass her.  She has had several commplaints filed against her but she must be a desperate person because she is like a pitbull (looks like one too) and she won't let loose.  She gives lawyers a worse name than they have already, she is scum, scum, scum, scum!

I have been getting calls from this number and would like to have them blocked.  I have read that this is a scam!!

Had this number call me once on my personal number that I never use (I use google voice so I use the voice number and have it forwarded). It was automatically put into Google Voice's spam folder, so I'm guessing at least Google considers them spam and put their call straight to voicemail, which they left an 18 seconds blank message before hanging up. Google Voice says it is from Farmington, MI.

I receive phone calls from this number regarding someone who does not live at my home. The latest approximately 3 weeks ago when  I spoke with a woman called and I her not to call anymore. I am a grandparent taking care of a wife recovering from cancer and do not appreciate the phone ringing when someone is trying to get much needed rest. Two days ago someone from the same number called and hung up while my wife was recovering from chemotherapy. I followed up on that call today, explained the phone calls I have received and asked to be removed from their list (again) and not to be called again. The kid who answered today asked if I was threatening him. I repeated that I said I am requesting that you don't call me anymore. His response was: goodbye...click. High class operation!

Just called them back.  They asked me my phone number - which I wouldn't give them.  (they already have it, right?)  Asked who they were/if it was a business etc.  She was very rude and hung up.  So then I googled it.

We own our home outright, have never had a mortgage.  We pay every one of our credit card balances in full every month, never late.  We have a perfect credit rating and have been scammed before by people trying to collect on made up or erroneous debts.  There are free lawyers out there if you do an internet search for people in financial distress.  This hack has been in business for a long time.  She has hurt many many people over the years and will continue to do so as our judicial system in Michigan seems to be ignoring this business.  I do not know where or how she got our number but our best guess is that it's one of those roboc alls.  Do not join a class action suit until you are absolutely sure you don't owe money to any business that she might be trying to collect on.  Their failure to leave messages or answer return calls is unacceptable and for that reason alone her business should be investigated and shut down.

I just wanted to provide an update on my particular situation. I mailed her a letter asking them to validate the debt they are claiming is mine is actually mine (I used the template I provided on 2/22). While I did get a response back in a timely manner from her all she provided to me was my name, address, the supposed name of the original creditor I owed and that they had purchased the debt from a collector.

She failed to provide any real proof to show the debt was mine. I have followed up with another letter stating they must provide me with a copy of the signed credit application within 15 days and if they fail to then they are acknowledging their mistake and all references to this account must be deleted and completely removed from my credit file and a copy of such deletion request shall be sent to me immediately.

Here is the kicker. I found out there is a database that the State of Michigan offers that allows you to search for companies to see if they are licensed and regulated to collect in the State. Searching for her firms name turns up no results. Searching for licensed collectors in the city of Novi which is where she is located yields two results of which neither are apart of her firm and have either closed or let their license lapse. If she doesn't have a license to collect in the State then she is in big BIG trouble with the Attorney Generals office for and could be charged with crimes against the State.

Just received a call from this number, I answered it and no response. Google to see who would be calling my place of employment and this what I found "Mary Elliot". Please find something to do. I don't owe anyone, that's why I answers my phone.

She buys unpaid debt from collection agencies and then TRIES to pin it on unsuspecting innocent people.

It you receive a phone call or letter from her.  DON'T WORRY!  Her cases are thrown out of court!  Just demand that she provide the credit card application that you signed.  

It's non-existent because she finds someone with a similar name, or worse you are now living at an address where the credit card holder once lived, and she goes after you!

Trust me!!!  DEMAND the original signed document.
