"... saw your resume and would like to talk to you about "full-time, part-time and leadership positions @ PRI. Call me @ 248-417-4652. Be Well. GaryHarpe"
No thanks Gary.....

Called my work number. Said his name was Gary Harpe, Vice President of his company (never named the company) that was undergoing expansion efforts, and that he had full and part-time positions open at "substantial salary". Gave the number "(248) 306-5460. The number matches "Harpe & Associates" Insurance company in Farmington, Hills, MI. I suspect it is a ploy to either sell insurance or higher new part or full-time insurance sales-persons.

I too, just received a text from Gary Harpe - 248.417.4652. What a joke!
Hazel 2011-04-19 21:33:48 Unknown
Be aware this Gary Harpe guy is calling and texting from the #248-417-4652 as well. He is saying that he is representing Primerica! Callers protect yourself
Hazel 2011-04-19 21:26:16 Unknown
I just recieved a text message as well from him and from the (248)417-4652 number as well. I dont know where he is getting our info from but i don't appreciate it. It is very creepy and unprofessional for a person to call you about a supposed job on your cell phone and a text none the less! I will make sure to get his number blocked from my phone!
Lisa 2010-12-31 01:37:49 Unknown
I just got a text from this "Gary" guy...except the # is (248)417-4652. Don't plan on calling back.

I also work for Ford and he called my work number as well. I am also scratching my head.

Received same call from Gary Harp, VP of Citi that is the owner of CitiBank. Spoke to him for about 30 minutes. He was extremely vague about the position available. Said they have a Corporate Overview that they setup for potential employees that takes an hour and a half and they seat 5-8 people for this in Farmington Hills. He said he found my Resume on yahoo Hot Jobs. Explained that they setup financial services for people who have retired, 401k services etc. Very skeptical about the whole thing. I am curious to visit this meeting just to see exactly what it is about. Has anyone gone to the appointment?

I got a suspicious message on my work voicemail at 11PM. Gary Harp mentioned my name and the date, so not a recording. I was "recommended" but he did not mention who or why. He did not say what kind of work. The message turned to static and cut out early.

Same as everyone else including local expansion, both full and part time jobs available at very high pay rates, office in Farmington Hills, VP with Primerica which is affiliated with Citi. Glad I googled.
romeochick 2009-04-28 21:26:35 Unknown
I got the same phone call from Gary Harp. I'm glad I googled the phone number. THANKS for the heads-up about this scam. I, too, didn't know how he got my work number. I've only had this number for a couple months and have not given it out to many people.
kmw 2009-04-28 14:56:38 Unknown
Checked my voicemail at work today - got the message on the 26th - Same as everyone else - muffled when he got to VP. of something, googled the number and viola. Said he was in Farmington Hills with jobs available. Figured it was a scam as this number was turned on a few weeks ago.
JD 2009-04-21 12:58:21 Unknown
I got the same call last night. Guy named Gary Harp left a voicemail, said he's calling from his Farmington Hills office and is the VP of ... (couldn't make out what he said). Seemed a little weird.
The weirdest thing to me is he called my work number. I barely know my work number so I wonder how he got it (I work in one of the Ford buildings). Does anyone/everyone else here work for Ford?
PJ 2009-04-20 18:03:53 Unknown
I got the call over the weekend. Gary actually called me on 4-18-09 on 11:13 pm, so I knew it was a scam. Nobody calls anybody on a Saturday night at that time to recruit for a job!
MH 2009-04-17 12:17:19 Unknown
This guy called me too! Not interested Gary! If you can be honest about who you are and what you do, it's a red flag! Thanks for the posts out there that help recognize this type of caller.
bn16 2009-04-14 16:36:03 Unknown
Count me among the GROWING number receiving a "we want you" message from VP Gary. Same exact "MO." Really glad I decided to google before calling. Would really like to find out how he got my work number.
cb514 2009-03-26 12:49:03 Unknown
I just got one too. Glad I googled this. Crazy!
jamie 2009-02-16 20:31:18 Unknown
Got the call at work today. Send an email to my bf, and he found this page. No, don't feel like selling mutuals ....
sg 2009-02-16 18:55:53 Unknown
Also got same call on the weekend to both work numbers at 9:30 pm. Glad I did a search. Voicemail he left was super creepy!
Aggie80 2009-02-10 20:23:50 Unknown
Same all around. Decided to give it a Google before calling back, glad I did!
Todd D McCall 2009-01-07 02:24:06 Unknown
Got same call 12/16. Message was same as described above message trailed off after he said he was the VP. I returned his call today. He couldn't remember leaving me a message. Said he was heading into a meeting but that he would get back to me tomorrow. When I questioned him about his company he said that he worked for CitiCorp and had full time and part time postions available with good pay. When I asked what they were for he cut me off said he had to go but would get back to me.....

I received a message on my work voice mail late Tuesday evening. "Local expansion" and "your name was given to me" are so bogus because anyone who knows me knows that I reside out of state and telecommute to a company HQ'd in Michigan. So "local expansion" would be meaningless to me. He seemed to deliberately slur or muffle his words when he spoke his last name and company name. My research shows it's someone named Gary Harraf.

Last night around 8, I got the same call. I have no idea how he got my work number I never give that out. It's very weird, he also wished me a good weekend, haha.
bw 2008-11-17 13:48:06 Unknown
Same as above. Called work and left message on 11/14/08. No detail and VP of ?????. Claims my name was given to him - bla, bla, bla.
