You at least got someone to talk, I keep on getting these calls and its annoying as hell.  At least 15 times a day!!

After several calls (including Sunday) I answered and the caller said she was calling from Yellow Pages Research. I asked her not to call again -- we'll see.

crazy....so many calls from this number..wondering where they came from...I am with comcast....it would b epossible that comcast is given phone  3S to third parties...but for what purpose...nobody answer the call when you lift the auricular...anyhow ...just reporting the hassle.

i have comcast and the same problem with this no. calling repeately. I am puzzled too....either comcast gives ohine #s to third parties.

YPR 248-630-2829 has called my house 25x in the last two weeks!  This is ridiculous - and I also have had nothing but problems with Comcast Digital phone since switching - it's a nightmare with the phone system.

I've also been getting these calls several times a day for a couple of weeks (Albany, CA).

A little googling suggests that "YPR" stands for "Yellow Pages Research", which seems to fit with some other people's experiences.

I just called the number myself (248-630-2829) and received a recording asking if I wanted to be removed from the call list. To do this I had to key in my number. I then got a message that said my number will be removed within two business days. We'll see.

Ordinarily I'd be wary of entering my number, but I figure they already have it anyway so....

The last time these people called me was February 2nd. It was the third time they had called in just over 4 hours so I picked up. They also wanted to know weather I got my yellow pages and gave me 2 free Sunday editions to the local paper. According to the lady I should have got the first one this last Sunday but didn't. I'm not worried though because I did not give her any information but my name and adress.

Well, I think I may have solved this little mystery.  I finally answered one of those "Michigan calls." Apparently, when people get new telephone numbers, they are given (sold) to whomever the entity is that distributes the Yellow Pages.  

All he wanted to know is if I received my copy of the Yellow Pages.  He seemed like a nice enough guy.  Since I answered his question, I guess I get a free two week delivery of a local newspaper.  This was a bit of a nuisance, but there turned out to be nothing sinister about it.  They didn't call tonight, so I guess that's that. I did tell him I belong to the Do Not Call Registry.

4 calls in the last two days, 2 today alone in the last 6 hours, more than 10 since getting this number in late January.  Listed as Michigan Call on my Time Warner Caller ID.  I have answered it twice, hoping to get a live person.  Just get a recording stating a number, haven't caught it it is the phone number or not, and yellow pages, then hangs up.  I have registered with the No Call Registry, but still getting the calls.  About ready to request a new number from TWC.

I have been getting calls from a "Michigan Caller."  This is a brand new telephone number for me so I imagine I inherited this from whoever had my new number previously.  

They call maybe three times a day, get my answering machine and hang up.Since I have caller ID, I made note of the number and called back.  Wne I did so, I got an automated message: "Hello, this is customer service. If you want to be removed from our list, please enter your ten digit phone number."  

Nothing doing!  I am an older woman living alone in a large city who values her privacy.  There's no way I'm leaving my number to an entity who refuses to properly identify themselves.

HOw do I get rid of this creep?  I've already registered this number with the Do Not Call Registry. What say you?

These folks every day...even on weekends.  If phone is picked up, they stop.  Otherwise, they call several times a day.  Calls started with new number.  Just registered with 'do not call'.....forgot when I switched number.  Before, I'd always registered with them; can report violation if number keeps calling.

Just got a call from this number. No one is there when you answer. See that this has happened with lots of other people. I did just switch to Comcast digital voice so I wonder if it has something to do with them??

I live in PA and they call me multiple times a day. they just called me before I found this sight. Of course they didn't leave a message but once I read everyones complaint I decided to call their number .. A soon as you do they tell you to enter your number if you would like it to be removed from their calling list. It takes two business days. I just did that so I will let you know if it works.

This YPR calls twice a day everday, including sunday. This is a new number for me, just moved and the calls are relentless!

Same deal...just got comcast and these calls come every night and there no one on the other end when we answer. Can't seem to find out how to get them. I'd ;like to call them every night at about 4am!!

I had Comcast and changed to ATT. These calls started coming after the switch.  I get three cals a day, at least.

Caller ID shows this number has been calling my fax line. I have Comcast. Nothing but problems with phone, internet and tv since having Digital Voice installed late last July. I'm going to have a little sit-down with a rep and show them tonights tape of Fox News and History Channel with signal breaking up every 1-2 minutes. I'll add this to my list of complaints. They should be prosecuted for false advertising.

called 17 times in the last 10 days. We have asked them to stop calling several times with no luck. We just got a new number and are not listed but she new our last name. Must have got the number from our provide comcast because we don't use the number for anything at all. Anyone else with comcast that has the same problem? I am going to call comcast tomorrow to complain.

Same.  Calls daily sometimes more than once.  We have answered before but now we just ignore it. Area code 248 is Oakland County, Michigan (near Detroit).

call comes through as a ypr number every day they will not stop calling us??????
