Received this same call on Sept. 25 at 2:56 pm. Caller I.D. said it was from Voice Network I and listed 248-742-3843 as the number. It was a female with a very heavy accent that I thought may have been Asian but since reading the complaints.....it may have been Indian. My first impression though was Asian. She told me that everyone would be getting new Medicare cards from the government and she needed to verify information to make sure the cards went to the right party. She then repeated my name to me and asked if it was correct. She did the same with my address and then my phone number. She had all correct, which is a bit unsettling. She then said that she needed my banking information to verify I was the right person. I stated I was not going to give her that. She argued that it was needed to confirm my identity and asked for it again and I refused again, this time loudly. She hung up on me. This made me especially nervous since it was coming from my own area code. I will be reporting this to the proper Federal agencies. Hoping these lowlifes get caught.

My mom got this too (she is elderly). I'm glad she had the sense to stop giving them info. She called Medicare afterwards, and they took it seriously and asked for the number.

I just got the same call. They verified last name and mailing address.  When they ask the name of my bank, I refused to give it, as they should not need the name of my bank to mail a new Medicare card. They had a very strong accent.  He hung up when I wouldn't give the information!

The government needs to get these phones disconnected, especially if they are listening to all ou calls anyway!!!!

My grandmother received a phone call from this same number with the Michigan area code. The line was not coming in clear so they said they'd call back to verify bank account information unfortunately she had already given them her bank info. Thank goodness I was here to call and put a freeze on her account. They called back several times trying to get more information and hung up when I asked for their information. Total scam warn your older loved ones.

This call actually originates from Michigan, and the caller in broken English, declared he was going to be sending a new medical ID card. On questioning he said I would be required to carry two cards and wanted to verify my address, which he read to me. When I said I was not interested, I heard him grumbling something as he hung up.  He had addressed me as "Mrs. (first name)", and there was a lot of activity in the background.

I just got another call from this number.  This time he said he was calling to tell me he was sending out my new social security card. This man with an Indian accent has called me before and I recognized the voice from previous calls, with different scams. I told him to hurry up because I was busy, and he hung up.

I applied for Social Security about a month ago and that is when I started getting these calls.
This is a coincidence too big to overlook.  Does anyone know if these scam companies can get access to our records thru government agencies?

I just answered my grandparents phone. The caller id said private and the number was 248-742-3843. I said sure I was the person and they knew their address and number. Said she was sending a new American Card in the mail. I assumed she meant american express. Then she proceeded to ask what was my social securityand what bank do I bank at. I said I do not give that info over the phone and she said she had it. I said sorry I would not give it. She then just let the call go. I tried calling the number back and it said it was disconnected. I HATE that people are trying to get older people to give out their info. I know my grandma believes people and I have warned her not to say anything to anyone over the phone. Wish these people would get caught. She had a thick middle eastern accent.

They, (248) 742-3843,  called morning, noon and night and seeing the caller ID as being "Voice Network I" I ignored it until I saw that they would never stop calling.
I finally answered and an Indian fellow asked if I was MR. so and so.  (Right name, Wrong sex).  He said something about a new Social Security card.
I yelled at him not to call again and hung up.

The caller has a heavy accent and informed me that I would be receiving a new medicare card to my home address.  I stopped him at that point and told him I knew it was a scam and to never call this number again. He promptly hung up which further affirmed that it was a scam. Nothing came up on my caller ID other than PRIVATE NAME and the phone number 248-742-3843. Maybe I should have listened further. I will report to the State Attorney General.

Call from 248-742-3843 identified as Voice Network I.  Male saying he needed to send me a new medicare card.  Wanted to verify my mailing address.  I told him I didn't need a new card.  He was pushy and rude but eventually hung up when he was getting no where with me.  I worry that some older citizens may be sucked into their scam.  This needs to publicized.  There can never be enough warnings.

My 75-year-old brother received a call from this number several days ago; he has a hearing disability and the woman caller had a heavy accent. My brother's wife is in a nursing home, and he's been dealing with Medicaid to get coverage for her, so when he received this phone call, he asked if it had anything to do with their Medicaid application. The caller said yes. Due to his confusion, when she asked for his bank account information, he gave it to her! As soon as he hung up, he realized what he had done, so he called his bank. They told him this is an ongoing scam and advised him to close his bank account immediately. He did so, within a half hour of the original call. Now he's dealing with having to notify all his automatic debit accounts and giving them his new account information. Fortunately, he acted quickly enough in closing his account that the caller didn't get access to it.

Looks like I got the same call as many of you. Heavy accent. Had my name, address, and phone number. Then wanted to know which bank my Social Security check went. Said it was for a new Medicare card, and also to verify that I was a senior. Good thing I checked my drivers license. I wasn't born yesterday. Hung up when I said " you tell me " Scam, Scam, Scam

Had the same thing happen to me. Told them to stay on the line & I was going to connect with another person that may need the information that he had to tell me. He seemed excited, until he realized that I was trying to record the conversation. Dumb me, I pushed the wrong button. He hung up. Definitely not honest.  Caller ID states it was a Private Number.

Caller was a young girl, Almost could not speak English. Basically same story ,She got very anger when I would not give her my bank number.  I call the number back that was on my caller ID and it said it wasn't a working number.

She got most upset when I wouldn't give her my bank #. She said she would put my name in cancel file and I would not get my new Med card.

I'm contacting the Med Office as this may be a SCAM. She did say she was  in Miami. Also, the back ground noise sounded like a  "Boiler Room " phone bank.
