same text as everyone else...I have AT&T in Florida

I got this same message on a Nextel phone at 3:03 a.m.  Am reporting to FCC.

Spam text message: "Brazilan Diet: Try our Award Winning, Dr. approved Diet Formula of the Year FREE. Replay DIET for details."

I've never received any spam text messages before this one. I just switched from T-Mobile to AT&T Wireless last week. Great.

Same here with the Brazilian Diet spam.  Complaining to AT&T when I get home.  I think I'm going to lobby my local congress person as well, to introduce a bill to hold the telecom company owning the number responsible for the spam as well.  This junk messaging has to stop!

Damn, got the same thing. Brazilian Diet rubbish! I think they are just spamming blocks of numbers, as this is the first and only unsolicited text I've received.

Just got this.

I started getting SPAM about 2 years ago after giving my cell phone number to Troy Aikman Ford service department. (Which said they needed it for an urgent service / contact number in case of problems). Before they went under I would get oil change texts from them. Now I get extended warranty text's and now this. I cant believe AT&T cant do anything about this.

We received text messages on both our cell phones.  "248" is a Michigan area code.  We plan to complain to ATT as they will charge this as a text message.  We complained to ATT before and the only advice they give is for them to set up a block for text messages which is no cost.

Received a text message from this number advertising diet products. According to 411.com, this is an at&t wireless number.  I also have at&t wireless so I called customer service to report them to their fraud department.

I received the MTV diet spam from this number

received sms from this number advertising diet... on at&t wireless. can we speculate that at&t is providing/selling our numbers to solicitors... and also making money for every text message sent/received? they also do not provide the capability for us to turn off or block text messages. not good.

I texed back to them to "Eat s***..."

Same as everyone else, AT&T in Miami but they sent the text to my wireless account, meaning the SIM isn't even in a phone and not a number that anyone would have other than AT&T. I don't know what the text says just that I was charged on my AT&T Bill for this text from this number 248-885-4743.

Your numbers are being sold to these people by your phone companies. The same thing happens to your address, your e-mail address. Everything is sold these days. The DNC doesn't mean anything to these people, it's all about making money. And if the company tells you they're not sellin your info, and they can prove it, then they have an employee doin it. I used to work for a phone company where one of the employees was taking people's Social Security numbers, and Credit Card Numbers down and using them. Just be really careful, and don't respond back to these people. furthermore, NEVER EVER EVER give out any personal info.
