This number is part of Bank of America's manual calling campaign. Recent legislation known as the TCPA (Telephone Customer Protection Act) mandates that organizations must now obtain permission to contact cell phones using an automatic dialer.
You should only recieve calls on this number if you have given Bank of America a cell phone number for contact.
Declining permission will result in the continuation of manual calls while we update the automatic dialer. You can contact Bank of America's collection department at 1-800-669-0102.
If you think the calls are annoying but refuse to pay your bills on time, answer one of these calls, participate with the caller and calls will cease for the rest of the day (sometimes longer). This is in accordance with the FDCPA (Federal Debt Collection Practices Act).

It is Bank of America loss mitigation, but they are calling to give options on a delinquent mortgage, at least, in my case.

Got a call from this same 250-000-0000 number.  It is Bank of America. Are they allowed by law NOT to disclose a valid phone number when calling?

they call me at least ten times per day from 250-000-0000

They are a private investigator firm working for a collections agency verifying that the phone number is still active.  You probably have some kind of default loan or credit card issue.

Just got a call from this number, I said hello and there was silence for a couple seconds. I said hello again and got "Sorry, I have the wrong number." in a really soft almost automated sounding female voice.

Never had this number call my house before.

When you see the number come up...scream into the phone really loud every time they call!!

Got a very similar call from an indian male.  Claimed to be with wal-mart customer appreciation and wanted to send me a $25 wal-mart gift card and $25 visa prepaid card for $1.95.  When he asked me for a card number, I said this is how scams happen and would like a number that I could call back after verifying with wal-mart that it was legit... he hung up and hasn't called back... yet.

I'm gettin' it too!  Very frustrating!

I get this call everyday from 250-000-0000 that says British Columbia.  When I answer they hang up on me.

Add me to the list. Several calls a day from 250-000 and from 1-234-567890. Appears to be a spoofed VoIP number out of India. Caller said he was from Medicare/Medicaid. When I asked him how he got a private number that was on the Do Not Call registry he hung up.

AT&T are unwilling to trace the number and it can't be blocked, since it's spoofed and they will just change it anyway.

One thought is to change the voicemail greeting to a "The number you are calling has been disconnected" message. Problem is it will confuse regular callers too.

Law enforcement could probably trace it but I doubt they are willing to spend the amount of time and effort required to do that.

The more numbers I put in a complaint on, on donotcall.gov, the less they call me...hint!

Over the course of the past 3 days, I have recieved 5 different calls from this number .... however it is only 6 digits   that is as follows:    250-000 and nothing else appears on my screen

I get calls everyday from 250-000 as well. Silence on the other line, and no voicemail if I let it ring. Any suggestions??

Yeah, same thing here. I've been getting calls from this number for the last week! Every time I answer, it's just silence on the line. And when I say hello for like 3 times, an automated voice says, "Goodbye." I don't get it.

Same thing here, calling my daughters phone and hanging up, comes up as 250-000, wierd.

I got a call today from what sounded like an "ethnic" male, with the same 250000 number and he cursed me out after i declined to give him my credit card information. I was completely shocked, he then called me 29 times consecutively. I answered the third call, and he told me that I was "mental", when I hung up he continued to call, again.

I got a call today and no one was there when I answered - 250-000 - odd number, that's why I answered, I thought it might be my phone carrier

They like to call me as well.. It just don't answer it and I allow it to go to voice mail, recently I had some one take money from my bank account and It was indian people from over seas supposedly. well after I closed my account and opened a new account everything went well and now im getting a call from a number that shows up only 250-000 not 250-000-0000 so I find it a bit odd.. they do stress me out and I need then to stop calling how should i go about
