Same here...the part that gave it away for me was the generic american name with the strong accent.  Really? I would expect scammers in today's time to be a little more intelligent....but thank goodness they're not!!  I think one of my messages said something about immigration fraud also.

when we asked for paperwork to be sent, they said they cannot send it, and that i should pay this and then they can send it. and they keep telling me that they will take me to court i tol.d them i have proof and dont have a loan with cash usa. do officer badges start with a letter and if they are a federal investigator they should be professional and send paperwork expalining.

Just got called by this number claiming they are federal law enforcement and that we have a lawsuit against us. Wouldn't state by whom nor identify his agency or which department he worked for. He claimed he be from New York and the number is a Alabama number. Ignored us when we confronted him about it. He also then stated he is calling from a court house but refused to state which court house and location as well as refused to give us a supervisor names. Told us this is our first and last notice. He eventually just hung up on us.

So glad I didn't call these people back.  They claim to be from the "Department of Fraud Investigation" and that there is a lawsuit against me.  Same call back number and scenario as everyone else has experienced right down to the thick accent with generic American name.  But, the number that showed up on my caller ID was 5038174251241028.  Figure THAT one out!

I recieved a call from 585-331-3913... I was unable to answer because I was at work but they left a message telling me they were from fraud department and I needed to call back at 251-241-0288 so I did and the guy told me I was being sued but would never tell me for what or by who so I told him I knew he was a scammer and he got mad! I got upset and cursed him and he told me to shut my f*ing mouth and do what the f*** he said or id be in big trouble then hung up.... So when I called back he tried acting like a different man! Funny part is I called the  first number back after all this and it says "this is a scam... Do not call these people back"

had the same problem  found out call comes from brewton al  phone is a unpublished landline man said his name was michael black and telling me i had some type of lawsuit on my social security and gave me the last four numbers but they were wrong

Got a call from (251)241-0288. They claim they were from the Fraud Investigation Department and that my ID was being used. I think they are a collection company. The man had an Indian accent.
