Multiple calls a day. Just beeps and then hang up. How do I make these call stop. I tried to call number back but it said it was an invalid number. Any ideas? I care for an elderly women at this # and it is distressing to her.

Alabama state police soliciting donations

They just called.......when I answered......they hung up.

Apologies, it is the Alabama State POLICE Association; not the Alabama State Troopers.  Begging for money.  Not listed under any Charity  Navigator that I can find, don't know if they keep 1% or 99% of their donations as operating expenses: I suggest if they call you, ask for a detailed third party accounting of their expenses, and then decide if you want to donate.  My suspicion is that they may not be very "charitable" with their charitable contributions.  But I don't know for sure, and nobody will until they publish their revenue and expense details.

Called today @ 11:44 a.m., did not answer.  Several websites identify this as a Mobile, AL number.  If this is the Alabama state Troopers soliciting, are they a 501C-3 Organization?  If not they are breaking the law by soliciting a number listed on the Do Not Call list, and should therefore write themselves a ticket!

Probably a trooper who did not pass the test, but was hired to fill a quota.  Probably can't drive, might not have passed the driver's test, can't write or spell city names so can't fill out a traffic ticket, so he/she is operating a phone bank.  I know one like that.

says they are fumdraising for state trooper assocn.  Want only to speak to owner of business and reluctant to say what for, will not leave callback # or message, insists on calling back. Calls every day, multiple times. Suspicious.

Same as Lou, when I answered the line beeped and disconnected. This has been happening for the last three days, usually around 7:30 or 8:00 CST.
