Got a call.  Didn't answer because I didn't know the number.  Called the number back and got a recording that said the number is not in service...

Yikes!!! I just read below that the well known ex con just called my cell phone.  That's a bit scary don't you think?  I have Verizon.  Is it Verizon that is giving out our cell numbers?  Maybe these people are getting the phone bills out of the garbage to get numbers.  I am shredding all of my phone bills from now on.

Recieved call at 1:20 and didn't answer. Called back and was no longer in service.
It looks like it belongs to a cell service.

GOT A CALL AT 4:49 PM IN FLORIDA. CON CALL OBVIOUSLY.

Today I received a call on my cell phone from 251-987-1387 at 4:41 PM EDT. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  They did not leave a message.  You all would be well advised to read the following post:

What is being discussed here is nearly identical to what happened in the 1-918-375-2671 post.  The only difference?  The number here comes back to Gum H Thompson, while there it came back to Raquel Bursiaga.  As it turns out, Ms Bursiaga had nothing to do with the calls.

WE RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS # AND THEY SAID OUR WARRENTY WAS ALMOST UP ON THE CAR,AND WANTED THE MAKE AND MODEL. I SAID WHY DONT YOU HAVE IT IF YOU HAVE A WARRENTY WITH US. HE WANTED THE NAME ON THE CAR AND AGAIN I SAID WHY DONT YOU HAVE THAT INFO IF YOU HAVE A WARRENTY THEN HE HANG UP. WHEN I CALLED BACKED IT WAS DISCONNECTED.

Just got a recording from 251-987-1387 at 6.20pm Eastern saying my vehicle warranty is about to expire and they could extend it.  Clearly a marketing scam as I have never enquired about extended vehicle warranties (I don't do extended warranties for anything, ever)!  I'm going to report this illegal call to the FCC.  Do it online at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

This number called my phone and I did not answer because I did not recognize it...this same number apparently send 14 text messages with a list of numbers in each one of them ...how do I make them go away?

This is weird I got online to figure out what state was 251 area code because I received a call from this number but, i did answer. the weird thing was that one of the top search results was the number. i live in ga and received the call at 4:30.

I have a tmobile sidekick that I only use for texting and I just got a call on it from this number. I dont even have minutes on this phone, so I texted back and said Who's this? and I got no response.. pretty weird though, because the guy I talk to right now (plays footbal for alabama) has the same first three numbers in this scam.. 251

I could not take the call because I was in a night class but I assume this was a telemarketer because no message was left and there was no title for the caller.

I just got the call on my cell, was not able to pickup in time to see. Tried to call back but get the number is longer in service.  I don't want calls like this to chunk up my minutes.  There should be a law to protect cell phone victims!!!!!!

Gum H Thompson is the person at 1-251-987-1387 ....... he's a well ex con in  Alabama

it called with a recording telling me i can extend my factory warranty, since i dont have a vehicle with a factory warranty i selected 1 to speak with a person. when i got a person i asked "what vehicle" and they promptly hung up with a corded phone. definatly a scam.

Yup.  No clue what it is, no voice mail or anything.  They just called my cell phone.  Must be a telemarketer or scheme of some kind.
