This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

I first answered, and there was no sound.  I hung up. I called the number back and a "John" politely answered the phone.  I asked him to please take my number off his list and he said politely "yes, thank you for calling, have a nice day".  Let's see what happens.

Got this call awhile back and also the other day. The Caller ID is the same as the number calling me also. Same result -- no message.

Got a call from this number yesterday.  No message was left.  Intellius says it's from Kent, WA.  I'll be blocking the number.  Had to get a new house phone  (old one's handsets wouldn't hold a charge and just cut off while talking on it) and you can block numbers that call all the time or don't know.  Have had to do this with a few numbers already that call all the time.  Phone rings one time, then caller gets a busy signal and call is dropped.  Number comes up as a blocked call on Caller ID.

I keep getting these calls.  Having seen the other comments, I have not been answering.  I'll keep it up.

They called our home phone late morning and wanted to discuss home owner protection. He said "I'm just heading out the door. Goodbye." We're on the DNC list

Got one of these calls for first time. All it says for name is the same number that is calling me. Of course no message.

I just got another call from these people.  Since they've been calling so frequently, I decided to answer to see what they REALLY want.

They just hung up on me.  No person on the other end of the line, no recorded message saying to "hold for the next available operator", no elevator music.  Just dead, then the hang up.

These kinds of companies are known to make automated phone calls and when the phone is answered, it verifies to their computer that it is a valid number.  They then sell that number to telemarketers.  Now that I've answered, I know that the next couple of weeks will be full of unwanted sales calls from a variety of new numbers.  Oh well.  I knew this was a possibility when I answered the call.  

BTW, being on the Do Not Call list is useless.  All they do is electronically compile all your complaints against a telemarketer and when you finally contact your attorney general's office and take the telemarketers to court, the DNC registry will provide copies of your complaints.  That's it.  They don't prohibit unwanted sales calls.  Unscrupulous scammy telemarketers don't follow the DNC rules anyway.  They usually make their calls from "spoof" numbers that aren't real, can't be traced back to them, and they have so many of these fake numbers it's hard to put a block on your phone to keep them all from getting through.

Please get rid if this annoying phone service.  I am on the do not call list and it seems that does nothing to stop these unsolicited calls

They just called again.  Didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.  They don't leave a voicemail so this must be a scam or just more telemarketing nonsense.

They've called my cell phone twice in the last two days.  I don't recognize the number so don't answer.  They don't leave a voice mail message so it can't be too important.  Probably some kind of scam or telemarketer trash.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this number.  Didn't recognize it so didn't answer.

And to bidwal gurmit above, do you actually want to receive more prank calls or are you posting the phone number of someone you hate, hoping they'll be pranked and harassed?
