It is quite strange that a year ago this time the phone number was about alarm systems and now that number is being used about student loans. When the number is called from a blocked number a message comes on stating it is a disconnected number belonging to Pacific Telecommunications and is no longer in service.

I called the number from land line and cell phone as a blocked number and it said: "You have reached a disconnected number belonging to Pacific Tele Communications Group. The number is not in service. If you feel you have reached this message in error please check the number and try your call again.

It was listed as Directaccess on my caller Id

Do they not know that it may be against the law to call cell phones?   Check your state laws to see.

I get calls from these guys every once in awhile.  Here is their page to contact them: http://www.telwestservices.com/contact/feedback.asp   I don't think that the problem is with this company, it's with one of their customers who is calling using their services for telecommunications.

Putting pressure on the company helps them get to the bottom of what their client is doing through their services.  Enough pressure may force Telwest to drop the customer and maybe report them to the FCC.

If you really want to move this to the next level. The parent company to Telwest is TelePacific Communications company.  Google them and check who else to contact about this problem.

Scam ... Calling regarding delinquent student loans ... I pushed through to connect to tell them to take my number off their dialer and they hung up.  I called back and a recording says that number is disconnected.  I'm reporting them.

I got the same speil that you did, however if you kept listening after that #2 was if you student debt was under a certain amt and then it was #3 to be removed.
I had let it go to vm.

The caller said they had an important message about my student loan payments. I'm 73 and never borrowed money for either undergrad or graduate school. But it was a recorded message call, so I had no one to yell at.

This number keeps calls at least 4 times a day and today they have called no less than 7 times and one text ...I have pressed the number to get them to stop calling, but they continue to call and have pressed the button to talk to someone, but no one is "available" to talk to and when I call the number back it says it has been disconnected and does not go thru. How do I get them to stop calling? Fed up!!!

You don't have to kill yourself because they will do it for you. Marshal law is coming and they need to identify who is on the red or blue or yellow list. Either a colored sticker on your mailbox or a sign on your lawn. Check out fema concentration camps on YouTube.

Called me saying they would lower my student loan payments by 50%..was suspicious because they were unusually evasive for a supposedly federal agency they claimed to be..
Would not give me a website etc...glad i came online to check

recv'd 4 calls in one day from this number. total scam. Some DNC list.  Nothing is working to stop it from happening.

This number calls me at least 7 times a day and when I answered it once nothing was on the other end... total silence. I don't know who or what this number belongs to but it should be shut down and blocked if you can.

I got a call from them asking refinancing my student loans.  When I said I may want to although I refinance he hung up.

Why bother registering you phone or cell phone with the DO NOT CALL LIST, apparently it doesnt work. I have both of  mine  registered and I had 4 calls this week on my cell phone..I dont answer my phone if I dont know the number and they never leave a message..I am sick of getting these calls..the goverment needs to find who is making them and give them heavy fines or/and jail time.

The person or automated caller said they were calling about lowering the cost of my student loans.

Pacific Telecom Communication's numbers are controlled by a fraud named Accuardi and his gang.

Illegal robocall advertising a bunch of dodgy "services" like fake home security systems, fraudulent programs to supposedly erase student loan debt, and others.

They're now offering to reduce student loan payments by 50%... sweet.  Somehow I don't believe the recorded msg describing the opportunity.  Like many others, I'm on DNC list and it's a VZN wireless account.

... oh, by the way... the NEVER remove your name from the list.  They just collect up these numbers and make a new list to sell to other telemarketers.
