These people (and their phone robots) are the most annoying thing I have come across in a while! I am now up to 69 calls from their various numbers! Here is what we know:

1- Don't waste your time with the DNC registry. That is a crock of doo-doo! Obviously, it does nothing!

2- You are not talking to a real person when you do answer. I have tried answering on a few occasions and hear the same recorded responses to whatever I say. I thought I would get off of their list by saying "yes" to agreeing to have a sign placed in my yard in exchange for a security system. (because the robot said if I was interested, I would be contacted by a sales rep) That got me to the next menu where the robot wanted to confirm that I own my home. I said "no" and he repeated the question. The second time I answered "no," it said thank you and hung-up. I thought that would be the end of it! I have had 5 more calls since then!

3- They will NOT stop calling! 69 calls over a 6 month period and still going!

4- Blowing a whistle in a robot's ear will probably do nothing!

5- The people behind this are stupid! Would any of you do ANY kind of business with a "company" that starts the relationship by annoying the hell out of you? If I had a robot calling people, it would be smart enough to realize after a few dozen calls, maybe the people at that number aren't interested! But then again, if these people had any working brain cells in their heads, they would have legitimate jobs doing something productive!

6- Here are the related numbers I have received calls from. I know they are related by the call times.

253-246-8515
253-246-8564
253-246-8573
253-382-9051
253-382-9912
253-382-9937
253-382-9953
253-382-9978
Occasionally, a "1" may appear before the area code.

7- Read #1 again. Stop wasting your time with the DNC registry!

All of you people have too much faith and reliance in the government to protect you from petty annoyances! Obviously, the government could really give a crap, based on the number of solicitation calls we receive on numbers listed on the DNC list! Stop wasting your time with the government, YOU need to take care of your own problems! These pricks are not going to go away. In my opinion, the best way to deter these low-lives is to waste as much of their time as you can! Instead of crying to the government to come to your rescue, engage these pigs in as much conversation as possible, wasting their time. Don't threaten them and never give them any "real" information! That's the only way to stop them.

Welcome to the "club".  It sucks.  I have been an unhappy "member" for over six months now... My suggestions:
1. If you can, add their number(s) to a block list with your phone company.  Or if they are calling a cell phone, save their number(s) to your phone and assign their ringtone to something silent (just vibrate, or nothing at all).
2. Keep reporting their number(s) and info to the FCC, FTC, Do Not Call Registry, and anywhere else.
3. Under NO circumstances give ANY information to them, not even your name!  He (or they) are scammers!!!  They have a CRAPLOAD of heists going, under this number and numerous others, even one on Match.com.

Do not be misled by the folks calling from this number.  They are scammers and prey on senior citizens under the guise of offering security services.  Theirs is nothing more than an attempt to bilk seniors out of their hard earned monies.  Use your CALLER ID to determine when they call and ignore them.  Also put their number on a REJECT Listing on your cell phone or landline, and register your telephone numbers at:  https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx .  After your numbers have been registered on the DO NOT CALL Registry 31 days, submit a formal, written complaint online at the same URL:  https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx.  Stand up for your right to privacy.

Calls from this number and 253-246-8515 are coming in to my Mom's cell phone numerous times a day. They are selling home security systems (supposedly). She has told them again and again that she already has a system in her home, but they just keep calling. She no longer answers the phone when they call, but this is very annoying, especially since she is ill.

Congratulations Tom from Home Protection! You have officially reached the 50 call mark! I feel like we are buddies now! (even though you have never left me a single voice mail) I have started thinking of ways to waste your time to return the favor. A couple of times, I have picked-up and not said anything. This method succeeds in wasting a little bit of your time. "Hi, this is Tom from Home Protection.....Hi this is Tom from Home Protection.....Hello?.....Is anybody there?....Click." You do have a sexy voice and I'm going to try to get a recording of it the next time. Then I'll add a beat, make a song out of it and put it on YouTube. Don't worry, I'll put a link here once I do it so we all can enjoy! Everybody else, if you want this to stop, answer the phone and engage this lower life form in as much conversation as possible! When you just let it go to voice mail, he doesn't even know he called you, it is his tireless machine doing the dirty work for him. Once you pick-up, his machine lets him know he has a bite, just like a fishing bobber! Talk to Tom, after all, HE called YOU, not vice versa! Talk to you later, sexy! You can call me from either of your numbers, 253-246-8564 or 253-246-8573. I'm waiting!

I think we should all take them to small claims court.  Maybe if they got fined by a bunch of us, they would quit.

Thanks so much for these postings. I have been getting calls from this number for weeks now. Never have answered it, and now I know not to answer them. Why would a home security company in Washington state be calling to Virginia anyway? Don't think they want to come all the way across the country to install a security system in my home. IT HAS TO BE A SCAM!

Keeps calling. The more you waste his time the less he seems to call you. However, no number gets removed from his list it seems. Just take a moment to ask him extremely inappropriate questions and have some fun. Just remember to comply with all local laws. Might be a good idea to ask him "Are you 18 or older" and force him to answer before you begin any oddball questions.

A person from this number 253-246-8564 keeps calling me from time to time.  I have answered in the past and he tried to sell me home insurance.  I told him that my phone number was in the 'do not call list' and he told me he would not call me anymore.  This was a few months back.  Now, yesterday and today I have a missed call from this same number.  I am working with AT&T to block this number but not successful so far.

Three calls today from this number, ignored them all. No messages being left.

#1 - 3:11 PM
#2 - 5:38 PM
#3 - just now at 7:57 PM

Starting to think that "Do Not Call" list is just a scam to get our personal information these people can access to harass us...and I don't have the beauty of having a smartphone to block these idiots.

I got this call today on my old, discarded cell phone ... Boost Mobile, waiting for the thing to die, since I have a new one. No one, and I mean no one, has my number except close friends and family.  It does not appear anywhere, it is a secondary phone on my son's mobile list.  But someone found out it is an active number ... and now is calling it.  UNAVAILABLE no number or name offered.  I ignored it, and will not ever answer.

We received calls from this number every day, but whenever I picked up, they would hang up.
I called the number back and a voice prompts you to press 1 to be added to their do not call list, which is what I did. The company name is not stated, but the voice calls it a "telemarketing company".

No, we are not DUMB! We are frustrated! Of course we don't think these idiots are sitting there dialing a telephone. That's not the point. The point is that these calls are are annoying and very intrusive! In my case, they are calling a business number. That's not something you go around changing willy nilly. I have spent a lot of money and time getting my phone number out to clients, I would be DUMB if I changed it. As a business owner, I wouldn't dream of initiating a business relationship with a potential client by annoying him/her with constant phone calls. Starting-out like that is DUMB, and these people that are trying to pay their bills by annoying us DUMB people are not going to get a thing from me!

Most of you people are really dumb, aren't you? It's not an actual human being dialing your phone number over and over again; It's a computer. These call centers use software to make phone calls. It's called a predictive dialer (look it up). Let's say they set the dialer to a 5:1 ratio. The system dials 5 phone numbers at a time for every available agent. The first line that picks up gets routed to the agent's computer (hence the delay before someone comes on the line). The computer then puts the other 4 calls into the agent's queue. This is the reason why you may pick up and just get dead air. These companies purchase your information from various sources. Most of you have probably signed up for things online, not realizing that those fields you were filling in become the information used by telemarketers to call you. This data gets sold in batches. Then it gets resold. And then it gets sold again. And so on. Before you know it, several companies are calling you to sell you one thing or another. Now, data is expensive. If these companies actually removed information from their databases every time somebody said they weren't interested, or not to call anymore, their reps wouldn't have phone numbers to dial all day. These companies use other companies' services to protect their identities and make untraceable phone calls from numbers like this one. It's a numbers game: a rep will make six or eight hundred calls a day, get two or four people to sign up or buy whatever it is that they're selling, put food on their table. That's all it is, a job. These people aren't evil-scam-artist-criminal-psychos, they're moms and dads, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors, trying to keep up with bills and paying taxes just like you folks. Bottom line: get the f**k over it! Change your number. Stop signing up for things online, or over the phone, or filling out the slips to win the free car at the mall. Get a smartphone and download any number of apps that will block any unwanted calls before they ever ring through to your phone. Or just surrender to the fact that telemarketers will be around as long as there are telephones... And they have your number. #dealwithit

I've told these people not to call that I have a system.  I am wondering if they are not a front for thieves, casing properties without security systems.  Perhaps they are not that clever.
