Repeated phone calls claiming to be representing an unnamed credit card in my name, suggesting that I may have a problem with my credit card payments/terms/interest rates. Upon confronting them and asking to identify themselves and their company, they hang up.

I have been getting calls from this number for months.  I call the number and get a recorded message that says press one if you want us to remove you from our call list.  It never happened.  Once only a real person was on the line and I told her not to call again.  Needless to say- months later the calls are still coming.  Don't know how to get rid of them

Didn't pick up. Didn't leave a message. Figured it's gotta be sales / marketing, or spam.

Who is this and how can I stop them from calling. They call almost every day  1-3 times.   This has been going on for months.

Oh my goodness! The same thing happened to me..I got this telephone number probably about a month ago, and I started getting these calls about 2 days ago..They asked for a David Foster (or something like that) I told them that no one by that name lived here.  He then insisted that I was lying, (while sarcastically calling me Mrs Foster) and then hung up.  They called back again today, and when I told them that they called yesterday and I had told them that there was no Mr Foster living here, they hung up.  I tried to call the number back, but sometimes it just doesnt ring, and when it does give you the option of 'pressing 1' to remove yourself from their marketing list, it appears that it doesnt register your number.

Judging from the fact that others seem to be going through, it seems that my only option is to simply ignore the calls..Ugh..I really would like to give those rude sarcastic dipsticks a piece of my mind..

Asked for the previous phone number assignee. I know this because it is a new number (5 months old) for us. I could hear many people in the background on phones as well.

I aggree with you because this happen to me .  I would like to know how to stop these calls.

Today I received a call from this number which went to my voicemail.  The male caller stated "I have that effect."  I called the number back.  I was connected to a pre-recorded message, but near the end of the message, it was a female voice stating something like "if you are not interested in this offer or would like to be removed from our call list, press 1."  That is not verbatim.  Anyway, I pressed "1" and hung up.  Just googled the number and read this thread.  My caller I.D. also showed "V09241334020030" but I don't know what that means.  In any case, it's VERY odd.  I will exercise caution.

Same as misty says above, no caller ID name, just a repetition of the number. I let it go to voicemail and apparently it wasn't good enough for them to leave a message. I've begun not answering the phone unless I know the caller ID personally.

got a call from this number- weird thing was the caller id just had the number relisted-no name or anything.  after reading the posts about this number I sure am glad I didnt answer.  We just ran our credit with an online service and have been receiving tons of calls for all kinds of shady companies since!   I will never check my credit score through that online source again!

I got a call from them on september 8th and when I answered the phone I guess they thought I was a kid cuz i heard luaghing and then heard an automated yoice say "goodbye" this number is just a family of no-good pranksters, if you see them on caller i-d dont, i repeat DONT answer the phone.

These people have been calling me for months!!! I have blocked several different numbers but they always find another one to call from. Same story as everyone else except the lady I spoke with claimed to have a copy of my credit report and credit score in front of her and wanted to know if I was tired of paying high interest on my credit cards. I immediately told her there was no way she had my entire credit file as that was illegal without my consent. She started rattling off credit card balances to prove it. I decided if she was going to harass me I'd harass her and asked her to give me my last 3 addresses which are listed on my credit report. Also, my spouses name etc. When she gave me the wrong information I of course didn't tell her. I told her that I would be happy to do business with them if she would share all of personal information with me as well since I too wanted to help her lower her debts. She hung up! Honestly I don't know how decent people could work jobs like this. Scary. Odd how I never received calls like this until we elected a new president!

OMG! These A$$HOLES won't quit calling! And I find it rather ironic that when I try to call the number back...no answer. This is nothing less than phone harrassment and should be against the law!!!

They keep calling me even though the name of the person they ask for isn't me! I just had this phone number activated 4 days ago. Morons. They were sarcastic and rude when I told them it was the wrong number and hung up on me.

Same story as all of you except they have been calling me for MONTHS!! I have refused their offers, asked to be removed from mailing lists, asked to speak to a supervisor who could have my name removed, on and on. When you get pushy back with them the become angry and are rude! They have cursed me and hung up on me. Unfortunately I don't know what to do either. I have contacted my area telephone company to see if I can block there number or any numbers with that area code and they say they can't do that! If someone has any ideas, please post them!

Got a call from this number today, but didn't answer the phone. If this number belongs to the same company Frustrated mentioned, don't give them any info! These people are extremely pushy, and when I requested they just send me some info in the mail to look over (because I didn't feel comfortable giving them my personal credit info over the phone) they directed me instead to their website which offers minimal info about their services. I've got a feeling that however they go about lowering your interest rate will probably have a negative affect on your credit score. Plus, why pay someone to do what you can probably negotiate yourself!

Very weird caller ID on this. Along with the phone number, the name said VO7191145000021. Needless to say, I didn't answer it.   When it went to voicemail, the caller hung up.  Idiots.

This call comes in 2-3 times daily and never leaves a message.  Caller ID says Tacoma, WA.  They have been calling for 1 month.  I refuse to answer.

Received harrassing phone call 5/24/2010 AT WORK from 1-253-363-9002. "Service Message" showed up on Caller ID so my boss gave me the call. They wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit card(s) and wanted to know which cards I'd like to have lowered. I told them to go ahead and lower all of them. They persisted in wanted to know WHICH ones. I persisted in saying "ALL" of them. They accused me of being uncooperative! Ha! Some people I'm sure would allow them to guilt them into cooperating. I stayed on the phone much too long with them, arguing, but I was just practicing my assertiveness training. Finally, they hung up on me with the parting shot that I could just live with all that debt then! This phone number belongs to a Verizon wireless phone in Tacoma, Washington. This should be stopped, but I don't know what to do about it. I felt violated because they knew info about me and was using it against me. I still feel crummy today about it.

I agree with Lauri & Tina ... I had the same call and it seemed like a scam to me! My story is the same, they claim to know who you are, where you live and the last four of your social ... they claim they can lower your interest rates but want to put a $795 charge on your VISA or MASTERCARD?!? It seemed high-pressure and I was not interested and I hope they never call back! When I looked for a Vyco Direct website, it had a different contact number and are rated F by the BBB.

i will find them and their desire to use the phone will go away.

i recieved a phone call on may 11,2010. I told the lady on the phone that I do not do business over the phone than I hung up. I couldn't believe she called back and was really nasty to me so I got nasty back. than she called three more times. I have never had anyone call me back a nd yell at me. I am goiing to turn this over to the proper company and take it a few steps futher to complain.

I told this company to take us off their list and the guy I was speaking with said he would not. He said since they have our credit card accounts that he doesn't have to. He described his company as the company who actually holds the credit cards--like the 'card services' you get when you call your bank or card holder. He said that all credit cards are actually assigned by them through our financial insitutions.  He insisted he was calling to lower our rates and that every six months our cards are up for rate review or an increase in the credit limit. I asked him what information we would have to give him to lower our rates and, of course, he said our account information. I told him if they were actually card services that he wouldn't need our account information. He tried to get around that by telling me the balance total of our credit cards and I told him he could get that off of a credit report. Scary that these people would have access to our credit reports! I insisted again he take us off of their calling list and he yelled at me that they would not. I hung up at that point.

Says they are Card member Services and try to convince you they have an account with them.  This is untrue.    This company continually calls me from different numbers.  The caller ID comes up with Financial Services
